A do over is a natural part of the factorio process. On my first world, I had 5 bases side by side, each of increasing size and organization in structure, like some mechanical evolution graph lol. It's just one of those games that require a specific approach to organization and planning. A good rule of thumb when building your factory is to try to make it infinitely scaleable; e.i. that nowhere at any level of production are you limited or severely impeded in your ability to expand capacity.
The simplest way to do this is making your production tileable - meaning that one unit making a product can have it's inputs and outputs connected when placed next to each other, making expanding production as easy as copy-pasting what you already got more times.
Another way is oversizing infrastructure early; that means giving every part of the main resource allocation room to be expanded, ideally way beyond what you would reasonably expect to need. Adding one more belt of iron is easy, having to tear down half your factory to make room for it, or having to add an entire new part, doing to same thing, is time consuming and unnecessary.
Also, getting good at trains is very nice. Trains are key.
