Where you from? .... deadliest catch ....;is not a reality show... it is life on the Bering sea.... pull your ass out of your lazy chair.... get a job... go ask if you can be a deck hand... your soap opera... in in the shower
@@barryshaw7994 he's referring to the way dickscovery turns it into a soap opera, you know, controlled drama. The job of a fisherman or crabber is definitely a very hard job.
39:10... had to laugh at the poor editing of this show. Captain trying to talk to somebody through a radio that isn't even turned on. I mean, c'mon. LOL
Totally 100% respect for te crews that do this work. But sorry don't understand why you would leave the nets unattended. Bit like leaving your car with the keys in it. But as I say 100% respect for you guys 👏
Purely because we miss too much fishing time taking them in every time. We fax boats our readings and leave our gear in compact boxes to minimise the risk. Our nets are often 3 miles long.
@@simonm7375 That seems fair enough but why the heck should the cost of lost gear come out of crews wages, wasnt their decision to leave nets out its the skippers responsabilty. Would he expect them to pay for engine repairs? My experiance as a tuna skipper in South Africa is the crew get paid for the catch no matter how small or big it is. All other expenses are paid by skipper or owner.
EU fisheries were just plundering UK's natural fishing resources. You honestly think that the French or Spainish fisheries care about being fair. It's all about greed in my opinion.
In the states when Dragger maggots knowingly get our gear there boats are burned to there water lines. Do that a few times they tend to stay clear of your nets...... it works!!!!
Robert S,might be daft or foolish to say it on here but it's the truth. Not to mention the chances of a boat having some sort of firearm on board either ;-) There's quite a few unwritten rules on this side that can easily get you in a heap of trouble and I dont mean with the law.Accidents happen but god help you if you pull that shit on purpose over hear.
haha the english are just as bad as the spanish !!!overfishing !!! even poland have more respect. an its called international waters you don't own it. the brits have no fucking problem fishing in waters close to scandinavia you are NO better then the spanish and french.....
i don't know about the UK, but in all major cities here in Canada, even unskilled labour make $30/hour setting up and tearing down audio visual equipment ON LAND. As an operator of the gear one can make $1K per day CDN Respect to these guys, but... why?

@@bobhiggins5773 It doesn't come out of the crews wages. Bit the crew feel it if you lose too much gear and can't afford to replace it.
Right on newlyn boys, thanks for these:-):-)
I fucking love this show
SIN PROBLEMAS.
i am not sorry to say but can never trust foreign boats at all

Over here the creelers know to stay out the way of the trawler and vise versa, but you get idiots the world over
Atlantic Prick s OST guard
I've lobster fished in Maine and there were plenty of stories of old skippers shooting at people stealing their lobster traps.
ADIOS.
Pretty wedding but the bride looks a few years older than the groom .
TOO MUCH ANAL WHILE THE GROOM IS AT SEA HA!!!!!
Any jobs ex fishermen
Poor ricky
TERRIBLE LEADERSHIP, skipper needs a shrink
Phill how the feck at e
Too many effing f... Words
To bad they can’t use words that mean something other than the f word. Get a little class learn some adjectives.
..and you learn how to spell ‘too’ not ‘to!’
Need a captain with some brains and a decent vocabulary. Who'd leave their lines out among a flotilla of competitive fishing vessels... Who?
We all do, we're using tangle gear and they need a 3-4 day lay. We lose too much fishing time taking them in
U know what always follows a wedding........ A divorce........both a wast of fucking time n $
Get out of our waters, out of the EU now!!
john it was the same system 25 years ago before the EU when i worked on the boats..sorry mate but leaving wont change that..ask phil ..c mon the boys

The most comical and ridiculous comment I’ve read today. Well done.
Controlled drama. Tv sucks
It was the exact opposite of controlled. There might have been some extreme editing but that's nothing to do with the crews
