Crazy !!!! These companies actually listen and making good products !!!! I always said, if i had an outdoors channel i would design my own survival knife …. But since i have a welding channel i got to design my own welding machine ….
Congratulation on making your custom products !!!
Damn dude. That's a beautiful finish. I'm a beginning diy'er. I've been following a few refinishing techniques on UA-cam and I have to say you're the most unique because you followed your instincts and had your own pads created. Now, you can sell your own brand to your followers and beyond. I'd like to get your pads and try them out on my 2015 Honda Pilot Exl to see how well I could refine my skills. Thanks for the instructional video your patience is very well appreciated. Keep up the great work. Uptown Ray.
I love this trade man got UA-cam here to help me along the way glad I’m learning from some of the greats on this platform thank you man I’m only 4 months in got a lot to learn
That’s great Kandy man!! Nice work. True master
Thank you
Thank you for your hard work and dedication to helping others. Ordered the pads today for a future project.
Thanks for the support
Just went to your store and purchased those denim pads! They look like they will work good for me!
Why have I been production car painting 20 years and I haven’t heard of these pads!? Shame on my paint supplier for not turning me onto these!
I stumbled upon them myself years ago
Google denim polish pads, I found them here in Australia after Kanymans video on them some weeks back.
You should find them ok.
Not all paint suppliers know about them , as a spray painter it's your job to do some homework yourself..supplier's cant know everything.
Denim pads were released over 10 years ago. I have Carpro denim pads.
I still think that sanding is the way to go. Denim pads generate too much of heat.
Yep. Ordered a set. Can’t wait to try them.
That's freaking amazing thanks for the great tip!
K man mistakes happen were not robots the skill is to get out of the hole and you have Respect sir great result 😊😊😊😊
Great info brother my son and I were able to get a very nice paint job. Watching you and your techniques gave us the confidence to achieve a quality to bring it to car shows. Thank you you are a great teacher. 👍💯👍
Glad to hear that. Thanks for the feedback 👌👌
Nice product for the DIY or beginner. The price is very reasonable. Might have to order a set. Looks like two types of denim and a corduroy for the finish. Enjoy all the information you share.
That’s a decent deal for the denim pad sets on your site. Excellent.
They work well
I got me one of these other pads from osren Australia but had to get me a set of these puppies, just purchased from your site thanks buddy keep this great content coming love your work, hopefully I can get as good results that you get some day 😂
Great to hear!
Love it, Just ordered a set....
😮 OMG ! NOW THATS CRAZY! gotta get me some of that ! Thanks again Candy man! 🙏
ordering. simple. ill be getting with you guys in a week or two to talk about doing the xkr.
I have been doing PDR for 25 years and I tell all my body shops you should have one of those lights. They are very good and were popular many years ago. They are good because you can put them right where you get the perfect reflection on your work. That helps A-LOT to get your work perfect
Yes I've enjoyed having the pdr team at my shop learned a lot and I'm in the hunt for a light
Outstanding !!
Anyone that can go on camera and be on record and admitting "They had done something wrong" is an Outstanding business owner to me. Hell, I know I F***** up a few times. We are human and yes I did order his products. Because of his honesty.
Thank you for sharing brother.
Appreciate the support
Lol. Love the coming to America reference. 😂
Very informative thank you
I know exactly what you mean when it comes to clear coat had this in the past using different clears 👍your new pads look the business k man
You know I got you dred 💪💪💪💪
@@kandyman5315 👊👍
New painter here, i just bought your pads,i cut and buff before, had good results and i had bad results, made me repaint many times tryed to paint it like glass but uknow i just started painting im going to see if this works maby ill send a pic if possible
Great video, great explanation 10/10 for sure!. question I have a 6 inch orbital polisher can I still use the 7inch pads? and also would those 3 pads be enough to do an entire car?
6 inch will work fine might need 2 sets
AMAZING MAN!!!!!!!!!! Kandy man saves lifes!
Thanks again
great stuff👍
Thanks 👍
💯great job
i spray over newly sprayed top coat with the same thinners and that works well in smoothing it out
👍
Hey we all stuff up sometimes.
At least they are both 4:1 . . . my speed clear is 4:1 and other clear used 2:1, once I mixed up normal clear 4:1 and it went cloudy / milky AFTER it was ready to go out, well after it had cured.
Ok to fix after a couple of weeks with a good rub and quick base / clear again.
I got my demin pads already, since seeing your original video on them !!
Haven't had the need to try them yet, but actually look forward to getting some excess peel to correct, lol.
Were the PDR guys there doing the hail jobs ?
Using their light or did you buy your own ?
They really are great for showing up imperfections in paint too.
Good point thanks for the support 👍
Great video! Will these work to remove scratches?
Light scratches yes
Painted a quarter panel yesterday ,and corner of bumper,so to make this story short, instead of getting the can of blender to melt the new clear into the old clear,I grabbed bulldog plastic promotor, and sprayed it to melt the clear, then that smell of adhesion promoter hit my nose, but it was to late, had to let it dry then wet sand all that stuff off until the new clear feathered out to the old clear. What a pain in the ass that was.😮
Man you know I know that feeling well it's sucks but once it's over we get a laugh about it for many years lol
Nice can you wash the dem pads so they will be ready for the next time.the results was awesome
I don't wash them I just let it dry and blow it off
Sorry, if I missed it . What brand is that random orbital tool you demonstrated? Thanks!
It vevor it a cheap good polisher link in the description
Dude you ditched the Rasta cap today! Wassup wit dat, it's your trademark!
Lol 👊
Have a big magnifying glass in shop always double check your solvents
That clear polish sure looks and reminds me of Production Car Care Base Clear polish .. same colour and smell as well .. humm
How are those pads around edges?? I’m always worried about burning through
That's why I made it for the random orbital less dangerous works great . Take it slow at first till you get the feel
@@kandyman5315thanks brotha just placed an order 💯
very good idea. can i have one set of those here in the philippines. can you help. thanks.
Check out web site
Would love to get some of these but your website won't calculate shipping to Hawaii
Hi, please private message me with your information so I can calculate shipping. You can reach my email or contact me off of the website.
just got my car back from paint, had a little much peel for my liking, should i do this asap or wait a couple months for the paint and clear to fully cure
I would give it some time to harden up👌
Thanks! Gonna order the set now!
Question please, i have a variable speed polisher/sander, and a dual action polisher/sander.
Witch one should i use?
Dual action polisher
2021 is a great high solids clear
Yesir
About how long will a Denim Buffing Pad last? How best to clean it?
They hold up good I've had mine a while now .as for cleaning it I let it dry then blow it out
So do you use the c4 and p4 or just c4 start to finnish? And if you use p4 after, do you still use the step 3 velvet pad?
Same compound different pads
@@kandyman5315 sweet thanks!
How long in one spot and what speed did you use and how often do you need to apply compound? I got the same set up now. I got heavy orange peel btw. I tested a spot with and without wet sanding between the bed/cab area.
Depends on clear
@@kandyman5315 kirker single stage
@@kandyman5315 its single stage
Im struggling to remove much of anything.
Thanks again!!!!
(PS: sort of difficult seeing some of the detail with the dirty camera lens. Not hate’n, just sharing)
Sorry about that
Really curious if this same process can be used on a single stage paint job. I wish someone would make a video on how to remove orange peel on a single stage.
Yes it will
@@kandyman5315awesome thanks dude. One other question. What for Rpms should I run on my polisher ?
Do these remove any clear like a traditional pad?
Yes
Went to your website but could not find the Denim Buffing Pad or Price.
It's on there on my website check description
Just checked there there
Since you're a pink guy and everything I want your opinion what you think I've been watching the UA-cam channel called dipyourcar and I was thinking about doing that to my car and buying their kit what's your thoughts????
Cool idea. But I've never seen them in person I know the wraps have come a long way. Those look pretty close to a real paint job. I hope this helps
Yeah they have a couple kids that you can spray on and the color can shift colors and all kinds of stuff
Seen that video
Thank you for answering my questions it was a big help in my decisions it was just a different process so I wasn't sure about it but I'm going to test it out
So basically you can use those pads without having to color sand the finish??
Big dirt no but small stuff and peel yes
sir where can we get these specific denim pads?
My site, in the description. Or search kandylandd.com
@@kandyman5315 Awesome. Lastly, how many pads (sets) are needed if you wish to do an entire car like mid size sedan? I'm a DIYer that sprays many vehicles at home and even with an inflatable booth its hard to control environments and end up with dieback often.
thank the Lord the mix ratios were the same, I assume
How do you clean the denim pads?
Let them dry then blow them out
How do you clean the pads or are they one and done?
Let them dry blow em out is how I do it
@@kandyman5315 thanks, I’m ordering some!
What speed on the VEVOR Buffer Polisher should I use with each pad?
3
Thank you!!!@@kandyman5315
Do you need to do any wet sanding before buffing?
No
I ordered a kit can’t wait to try it. I just painted my 1991 mustang and it came out good for the most part. Your video have really helped me get better.
Glad to hear I have helped 👊👊
WHERE CAN I GET THE 7 INCH PAD?
Check description in video
5” or 6” pads? Want to make sure I’m ready to roll when they show up and I’d need to buy a 5” backer…
7 inch
What are the pads called
Check out the description in the video
Isn't the mixing ratio different?
Not at all
lucky they both have the same hardner and mix ratio!
I know glad for that at least thanks for watching
These pads have been around for years. The made issue you will face is heat and paint swelling, especially when using a DA.
The other issue is thr give in the backing on the pad when using a da will be similar to sanding with a foam backing sanding disc, as it contours to the peel. It will remove more paint film thickness than sanding.
Yes denim pad is not a new thing. These are thinner pads with less give .never had a problem with them. And people are loving them. Thanks for the insight 👍
damn, the truck section looks like glass.
I hate paypal. and you dont offer any other payment method
Sorry
Can we just stop kidding ourselves that low VDC is good in any way?
?
@@kandyman5315 that product that sucked is Low VDC (safer) always seems to be bad. I do mechanic work and avoid the low VDC brake cleaner
@@daveunbrandedYou must mean VOC. Depends if you want cancer or not. Chlorinated brake cleaner is nasty stuff. TCE is not good to be around often.
Please clean your lens
I just don’t understand what liquid is used? I use a rupes big foot with a denim pad from car pro. It does remove a bit but not cut through. But I’ve read you need a levelling compound? But there isn’t any available unlesss you buy from Asia and I’m skeptical on buying form over sea. OSREN on UA-cam I’m talking about
To add I’ve used mezerna heavy cut, rupes blue heavy cut, mequires Compound, even tried Koch Chemie medium cut and it doesn’t seem to get through enough
Must be very hard clear
I called Levi's customer support and they do not make these pads.
Lol
