I think it kinda dragged on with that big race with All the pilots and I fell off. I feel most anime’s have parts where they drag and I lose interest. Still have a lot of nostalgia for this show
Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Outlaw Star will always hold genuine significance to me. You just don’t walk away from those stories without tears in your eyes and a new understanding of the human spirit.
Yeah every now and again I would find myself humming this haunting melody, and it would make me sad. I didn't know why. I just rewatched the whole series. It's actually really sad. She just discovered who she was and she found out that she could make a future for herself free from the expectations of others And then the show ended. She never got the future she deserved. She's just stuck in a limbo now... forever trapped.
I remember this show from my childhood. I just finished watching it over again, and I regret not watching it all the way through when I was a kid. After finishing, I got this song stuck in my head. It's so peaceful.
I don't know What words I can say The wind has a way To talk to me Flowers sleep A silent lullaby I pray for reply I'm ready Quiet day calms me Oh, serenity Someone please Tell me, (oh...hmmm) What is it they say? Maybe I will know one day. I don't know what Words I can say The wind has a way To talk to me Flowers sleep A silent lullaby I pray for reply I'm ready
A very lovely song, when my Father's brother passed away, the only song I could remember was this one and I sang this song as to find some peace in myself
Me too, My mother would sing this to me when I was a little girl, and When I asked her what it was, she told me it was from a show. I finally looked up the lyrics and found this song. She has passed but it reminds me of her
Waves of nostalgia wash over me whenever I listen to Hiru no Tsuki and see the retro-scifi/Raypunk-esque art from Outlaw Star's end credits! It never fails to take me right back to late-90s, old school Toonami 🙂☺️
I still remember this song after so many years. It takes me back, when I’d stay up late to watch it as a kid. I remember singing it and trying to redraw the art because it was so unique and pretty.
I like how this starts out with Lilium from Elfen Lied it seems so fitting and I love both shows and songs. But Outlaw star brings me back to the good old days of Toonamhi. Thanks for posting this.
This song needs to be written down and chiseled into a pyramid or monument so people in the future can witness this beautiful song ... Ahead of it's time :)
I sang this to my cat that was passing to confort her. I was holding her in my arms and this was the song I just found myself singing to her. I hadn't thought about it in sometime. I watched Outlaw Star as a kid and I always myself singing this song to myself when I was alone as a way I suppose to comfort myself. This song is really special to me, takes me right back to that kid I was.
its like slowly drifting into a river, underneath the surface you have no senses except your own heart binding with this pure harmonial gentleness your inner subconscious and mind. calling out to you and telling you what you truly desire.
Every time I see the art and the song, it give the vibe of some thing ancient, something beautiful. The same happen when I hear Sora Wa Kataranai by Inoue Kikuko
Loved this song since I first heard it on toonami when I was a kid. (90s? 2000s?) I transcribed the words and have sung it ever since. Fucking love it.
@Bloodylilcorpse it's in episode 21 for the first time & 25 or 26 too the one in 21 was the best the whole thing with harry made me cry & how much he loved this song in the anime
Something about the rhyme, and the lack of any instruments... ...I could say a lot of things, I could try to be cool, but that wouldn't suit such a beautiful song. I'll just say that I'm very, very glad I chanced upon this last night.
@ProductOfFallout It's only sung once in English in one episode when Melfina actually sings it herself. When It's in the ending credits, it's sung by the original artist in Japanese.
This was a lullaby introduced to my by my uncle. I learned to sing it in Japanese at one point too. Can only remember about two lines now though 🥲. But it’s beautiful and comfortingly chilling.
It's really amazing when u think about it .... She's lived so long she's totally forgot about all her past lives .... I wish they would do a movie on her history .... I can tell she's been everywhere the eyes can see
I turn off my lights, close my eyes, and listen to the song a few times in a row and it starts to feel like my body if floating and tipping in different directions. And all my hairs stand up on end after a few deep breaths. I slowly feel a heat in my body that makes me go numb. My mind wonders, I see in my mind's eye far distant galaxy's. O.B.E (out of body experience). Got really close with this song. Wolf and raven has a cover I use often.
Just like that, in that one minute i was a teen again and i was 16 as i looked around thinking back to my early days when things was just so simple Hearing it in this version i weeped just i did to the original
If Trigun is your favorite anime, you thought Cowboy Beebop was too mainstream. If Outlaw Star is your favorite, you thought Trigun was too mainstream.
They were actually referring to the intro of 'this' video; the anime would be Elfen Lied, not Outlaw Star. But, no harm meant, I realize you were just trying to help :3
When I first heard this it caught me offguard. It sounds so sad and yet remains beautiful. The background art also interests me. Anyone know what it's about?
My husband when we were engaged told me he always dreamt of hearing his future wife sing this and I always wanted to find the perfect time to sing this for him, the other night I was putting our daughter down to sleep and I was rocking her and started singing this to help her sleep later that night my husband told me he heard me and went to look and saw me and our daughter and he said he cried from how beautiful it was.
I remember when Doja Cat's mother covered this song back in 1987. That was right before she started her whole Michael Jackson era. Truly brings back memories.. 😭
This anime is a low-key classic. 25 years later for me and this anime and song still go hard
And just for a moment, I was 7 years old again.
This comment made me eyes water with nostalgia🥺
Then feels though...
@ZeldaEd123 same here.
Don’t make me cry for my childhood
I was 17. I was an older Toonami Midnight Run fan.
This song gave me the chills the first time I heard it and it still does.
Same but in a good way...
Still does for me too here in 2021, time traveler stranger
I need a 10 hour version of this PLEASE so I can sleep to it 🥺
yeah, me too.
This song seems like a fever dream. Happy I found it again brings back childhood memories.
its a swanswong "i'm ready" as in for death

I don't know
What words I can say
The wind has a way
To talk to me
Flowers sleep
A silent lullaby
I pray for reply
I'm ready
Quiet day calms me
Oh, serenity
Someone please
Tell me, (oh...hmmm)
What is it they say?
Maybe I will know one day.
I don't know what
Words I can say
The wind has a way
To talk to me
Flowers sleep
A silent lullaby
I pray for reply
I'm ready
thanks james
I haven't thought about Outlaw Star in years.
And I remember this song.
Thanks for writing down the lyrics
Always loved this song 🎶
Oh my goodness the memories 💕 thank you
A very lovely song, when my Father's brother passed away, the only song I could remember was this one and I sang this song as to find some peace in myself
I hope a decade later this still provides you some solace.
This was my moms lullaby to me and my sister.... I'll literally never forget it
Me too, My mother would sing this to me when I was a little girl, and When I asked her what it was, she told me it was from a show. I finally looked up the lyrics and found this song. She has passed but it reminds me of her
@@doorkima7734That's really sweet. This would make a great lullaby.
I plan on singing this to my kids when I have them! It’s too good of a lullaby to not sing a child to sleep
Waves of nostalgia wash over me whenever I listen to Hiru no Tsuki and see the retro-scifi/Raypunk-esque art from Outlaw Star's end credits! It never fails to take me right back to late-90s, old school Toonami 🙂☺️
This is one of the few songs that sounds just as good in English as it does in Japanese.
Beautiful, just plain beautiful.
I have always enjoyed the outro songs, as well as the images. They are so soft and other world like
Yeah, it's always calm before the storm. Be ready..
I still remember this song after so many years. It takes me back, when I’d stay up late to watch it as a kid. I remember singing it and trying to redraw the art because it was so unique and pretty.
One of my favorite anime ever loved watching this series as a kid back in 2001 when it premiered on toonami so happy to have it in my collection
I like how this starts out with Lilium from Elfen Lied it seems so fitting and I love both shows and songs. But Outlaw star brings me back to the good old days of Toonamhi. Thanks for posting this.
When I'm depressed I listen to this song So smoothing and calming when I drink my green tea.
This song needs to be written down and chiseled into a pyramid or monument so people in the future can witness this beautiful song ... Ahead of it's time :)

This never gets old.
its like slowly drifting into a river, underneath the surface you have no senses except your own heart binding with this pure harmonial gentleness your inner subconscious and mind. calling out to you and telling you what you truly desire.
This is stunning, I've loved this song for years and found it deeply beautiful, never knowing until now what she was saying. I am awestruck.
This song will always give me serenity no matter how old it gets
Every time I see the art and the song, it give the vibe of some thing ancient, something beautiful.
The same happen when I hear Sora Wa Kataranai by Inoue Kikuko
Just finished Outlaw Star, I couldn’t stop cryin after realizing I’ll never see another season 😢
Why would anybody dislike this? This is such a great song
I want someone to play me this song at my funereal.
2021 this still takes me back.
Loved this song since I first heard it on toonami when I was a kid. (90s? 2000s?) I transcribed the words and have sung it ever since. Fucking love it.

Oheyoo, here for nostalgia. Also love the elfen lied opening. Hope you're doing well OP and all revisiting these ol' mystical melodies. Onwards 🎼🎵
Something about the rhyme, and the lack of any instruments...
...I could say a lot of things, I could try to be cool, but that wouldn't suit such a beautiful song.
I'll just say that I'm very, very glad I chanced upon this last night.
Yup. Still gives the chills. Just checking... I'll probably be back in a couple of years. Seeya then..

You’re all so beautiful

"Who made me? And what did they make me for?"

I love the Elfin Lead opening
“ maybe I will know one day “
It plays in my head constantly when I’m sad
I love this song
Thanks, I been wanting to put this video up for awhile! Just never got around to it!^^
@DeltaPBMKM: It is almost better than Bebop... I would say a close runner up would be Trigun or Ruroni Kenshin. I torn cause thet are all awesome.
These images are all of Melfina and the many lives she lived as humanity expanded into space.
It's really amazing when u think about it .... She's lived so long she's totally forgot about all her past lives .... I wish they would do a movie on her history .... I can tell she's been everywhere the eyes can see

In the English version of the series she acctualy sang the song
If Trigun is your favorite anime, you thought Cowboy Beebop was too mainstream. If Outlaw Star is your favorite, you thought Trigun was too mainstream.
I haven't heard this song in years😍🥹! Outlaw Star was a bomb anime. I don't want to be an adult anymore. 😩
Yeah, it is! I really love it!^^
Yeah, it was first for me too. I found this version on frostwire, and you're welcome! :3
I love this song
Actually Lilium was used in Elfen Lied but wasn't made FOR Elfen Lied... it's a pretty old classical song from when Latin was still a spoken language.
Thanks!^^
Aww! Thats so cool! I think was around the same grade too. Can't remember.
Only Anime that got me to cry
wow straight back to 24 years ago...shit
I remember seen this a long time ago.
When Melfina sang this to Jean it broke me
Love outlaw star
Outlaw Star

I love melfina this anime
Melfina has such a beautiful singing voice
They were actually referring to the intro of 'this' video; the anime would be Elfen Lied, not Outlaw Star. But, no harm meant, I realize you were just trying to help :3

When I first heard this it caught me offguard. It sounds so sad and yet remains beautiful. The background art also interests me. Anyone know what it's about?
This show in one statement: Caster Gun!
Wish this was on a streaming service. Anyone know if it has an official name or if there is a way to get it besides coming to UA-cam or pirating?
my dad would sing me this song when I was little
Classic
Going to have my wife sing this to my new born child.
Did she ever sing this?
Olive Juice in soft tone
You and me both! ^_^
For the love of God please do a dub of the trigun song Rem Saverem
My husband when we were engaged told me he always dreamt of hearing his future wife sing this and I always wanted to find the perfect time to sing this for him, the other night I was putting our daughter down to sleep and I was rocking her and started singing this to help her sleep later that night my husband told me he heard me and went to look and saw me and our daughter and he said he cried from how beautiful it was.
Curse you adult swim for teasing us last night...
Does any one know the artist ?
I remember when Doja Cat's mother covered this song back in 1987. That was right before she started her whole Michael Jackson era. Truly brings back memories.. 😭
