At this point, we need a Barbie line that will bring back the branding of the earlier wave of Fashionista and maybe name it as *Barbie Glam* with inclusivity and style; like merging earlier wave of Barbie Fashionista, Barbie So In Style, and Barbie Looks.

I’d be so happy if Barbie dolls were all made to move, I’m so sick of Mattel being so cheap with everything.. if MGA can do it right, why can’t Mattel .
I had a Grace doll from So In Style as a kid. She was my favorite doll. Consequently, her hair is messed up and she is no longer wearing her original clothing, but I still love her. I’d love if Barbie took some inspiration from that line of dolls cause I genuinely think they were some of her best
@@monicahyland8641 Agreed, but you can get a Barbie Fashionista for just 8 dollars (6.70 pounds) in the U.S.A. You can't get a MTM Barbie or an O.M.G. doll for that price.
Barbie used to be what Rainbow/Shadow High and OMG are today. My biggest complaint with modern Barbie is the super cheap fabric - this thin, shiny material, often without any seams and only printed details. Barbie extra dolls have the mix of different nice fabrics, but mostly with those over the top designs.
Shadow High and OMG on the other hand? Stunning! Zooey, the Alien girl, is by far my favorite, but Monique and Dia are gorgeous as well. And honestly, I want all of the color change OMGs. There's another doll with a bigger pack that's also incredibly cute, I love them all, help!
It's really interesting that they added Novi Stars logos and branding to Zooey Electra's doll. I hope it's a hint that they might be looking at bringing back the line again. It's a stretch but a girl can dream.
It’s interesting to hear about Barbie’s new logo, because she’s not the only Mattel brand with a new logo. American Girl switched up their logo recently too, the font’s changed and the star is between American and Girl now, not before American. I wonder if any other Mattel brands are going to have a logo change, something to keep an eye out on I guess
I'm amused that the Barbie made for really small children is one of the most appealing ones to me. There's even playsets to go with them which look cute.
The new Barbie playsets definitely gave me early 2000's vibes, and I love it! I actually feel some kind of excitement for Barbie for the first time in ten years now!
I love Barbie Rewind so much!!! i hope barbie rewind will added Mackie and Kelley/Jazzie head sculpts and more steffie head sculpt

I feel like whoever is working on the lol tween dolls especially, is a millennial in their late 20s/early 30s and I love that almost all of them reference pop culture moments from my past. I love the really punky one!
I honestly wish they went FURTHER with the pastel Extra doll. I love the mismatched color blocking and the chunky bows. I wish the rest of the outfit/ hair had more decora vibes ...but I like looking like a clown 🤷♀
Soo excited for everything MGA is dropping this year. And Barbie seems like she’s gonna have a big year too. Yay for us!!
I got one of the fruit scented color reveal Barbies. It was the strawberry one. I liked the hair. Really soft. The outfit was super cute and I used it on another doll. But the fruity smell I just could not get rid of. It was reminiscent of the Strawberry Shortcake dolls. But it didn’t have the sweet plastic smell those had. You know kind of like the smell of those jelly shoes in the 1980s.
Omg! For the new Barbie Rewind dolls, they're using a Kira (maybe Miko) face sculpt! Kira is my favorite Barbie character! I wondered where they would use that face sculpt again because they used a Kira face sculpt for the re‐imagining of the Totally Hair Barbie line! I'm screaming! ♡

I’m so ready for the rewind dolls, they are the only modern Barbie I can’t get enough of.
I’m excited about the fashion pack. I’ve missed those. They look like clothes I’d actually use. Hopefully they aren’t too pricey. They’re no “fashion avenue,” but I like them just the same.
I'm interested in the My First Barbie dolls. I like their articulation. I'd like to buy one to keep and one to customize. And the Barbie Rewind dolls are all so cute!
Funny how My First Barbie 2023 is completely made out of rubber and has bend and snap joints as a gimmick, while the other Barbies today have hard plastic limbs. Back in the 80s, when they made the first My First dolls, it was the other way around! The hard legs were supposed to make them easier to dress.

most excited for shadow high series 2, theres 3 i NEED and the other 3 eh. i dont remember any of their names but the pink, green, and purple with the braids are the ones i absolutely need. the green one has a bunch of references to Novi Stars which i find interesting i wonder if MGA is planning on bringing those back??

I've been passing on most modern Barbie dolls for quite awhile. They are not the same as my beloved vintage dolls. I will be looking out for these shadow high dolls. I love them!!! 🥰

I really like Zooey in the SH series 2. She references a lot of Novi Stars, and she has the strongest concept in the line imo. Glitch would've been my go to if they didn't tone her down so much from the show.
As far as the OMG dolls go, I realllllly want the unicorn sister from the sunshine makeover line, SHE IS GORGEOUS. I have Jenny Rox from the Tweens line, she is PERFECT. The whole Tweens line just can do no wrong.
I'm also excited about Monster High Skulltimate Secrets; this is by far their strongest line in G3 yet, so exciting.
The Barbie rewinds are how ALL Barbie's should be!! This is how I remember Barbie. 💖
I'm glad there are people appreciating Dia Mante. She is cute! I'm not a Rhianna fan, so that sort of made me lose interest in her, but I may still get her. Other five I'm definitely buying.

I would like to get a My First Barbie because she is bigger. I am getting old and have severe trembling in my hands. It is making setting up my Barbie dioramas extremely hard. So I would like to try the larger dolls. They have some cute playsets to go with them. I would like to get the tea party set.

Hey, I totally agree with you 100 percent. The boy doll I think is just awesome. I have very few boy dolls. I don't care much for them. I loved his coat and shoes or boots whatever they are. I also agreed with you on almost all of the ones you liked and disliked. Thanks for sharing them.

My favorite dolls are the Shadow High Series 2 characters.
The First Barbie Dolls are actually not that bad. The only thing I don't like about them are the printed details on their clothes. The printed on necklaces, and purse just feels unnecessary to the honest. However, I might get them to see if they could fit a Made To Move body.
i get it, but you have to remember that the target audience for this is like young toddlers/little kids. barbie's probably the most affordable doll on the market and i wouldnt be surprised if i see someone buy an unarticulated, objectively boring doll instead of a 50 dollar rainbow high doll
They're much more bigger in size. Highly doubt it'll fit regular sized barbie dolls plus the first comment makes sense. They're mainly targeted at a younger audience.
I totally see the Trixie Mattel vibe of that doll too.
I guess I can live without full articulation if Mattel just brought back Barbie’s quality HAIR. !!! PLEASE !!! Both would be a miracle.

Ah, I was hoping to hear your opinion on the shoes of the pink sh doll. I honestly think they're awful and look like goat hooves, but surprisingly for me, many people said they love these shoes, so.. idk, maybe I'm a boomer 😆

You can actually take those boot covers off and she has boots underneath. I actually plan to put on Natasha's heels they would match well. Her and Glitch are the two that would go well with my other SH dolls. Rex of course will match but I don't usually buy boy dolls

I’m getting the pastel pink LOL OMG with the black and white hair, and the unicorn one. But Joey didn’t show that LOL OMG for some reason 😅 Of the new Shadow High line, definitely Glitch. I just want Dia Montes shoes and Zooey’s astronaut jacket but I don’t care for the dolls much.

So I just got Zooey (the blue/teal) shadow high 2 and am in love. 1 her outfit reference NASA (apparently Balenciaga 🤢 is the look they were going after but I'm just gonna ignore that and focus on the NASA aspect as the science geek I've always been) and her stuff also nods to an old doll brand Novi stars. They brought back the hangers which is kinda cool. And I like the new accessories.

I got these 2 Barbie extra dolls November 1, i love them. Besides the giant pink boots and I made my husband take the platform down and paint them black. They are great dolls for a collection, and to mix and match some clothes.
The Alien one would look better with a close mouth and black eyebrows instead of the pink.
@@iamsoverybored878 right, she is great to customize.. A little nail polish remover and some new paint. I bought her because I wanted the whole collection of extra dolls. I hope they keep making them. I feel so bad that it’s so hard for the U.K. To get these dolls earlier.

I've watched several of your videos now and really like your content. The lack of articulation in the Barbie line is very frustrating. Might pick up a My First Barbie just to see how the articulation is done. And a doll line with color change... I had an absolute ball with my Beach Blast Kira.
I have a couple of the older colour reveal dolls. I really like the short, molded hair. I've made one that was blue-themed into a Time Lord from Doctor who, and I got one with dark hair that got a MtM body and became Servalan from Blake's 7.

The only thing that i will be getting out of this whole collection and i agree with you 100 percent.. the Rewind dolls are the best things ever. I love that classic 80s/90s look with the articulation. As A doll collector these are my faves. i have 2 from the first series I guess. The other barbies that were shown in this video are a disgrace.. boring plain simple basic doll. yawn. and the extra dolls are just like lets put something together and sell it.. the doll with the lavander hair..we already have a barbie extra with that exact hair color. like.. omg. i cant.. but yes to the rewind dolls i will get all them when they launch
