The NO KNEAD BREAD you have to make! EASY Focaccia Recipe!

- The more authentic focaccia recipes tend to be a sticky mess that is best left to the professionals but in this no knead method, copious amounts of olive oil and a lack of kneading provide you with surprisingly impressive and easy to handle loaf. Once you have the method down the dough can be transformed with a number of different toppings or even made into a deep-dish style pizza with some good passata and mozzarella.
You'll need:
(US Measurements)
For the dough:
1 x ¼ oz sachet dried yeast
1 tbsp honey
2 & ½ cups warm water
5 & ¼ cups plain flour
1 tbsp sea salt flakes
4 tbsp olive oil
For the garlic, basil rub:
4 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
2 tsp sea salt flakes
Large handful basil leaves
3 tbsp olive oil

For the dough:
1x 7g sachet dried yeast
1 tbsp honey
600ml warm water
650g plain flour
1 tbsp sea salt flakes
4 tbsp olive oil
For the garlic, basil rub:
4 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
2 tsp sea salt flakes
Large handful basil leaves
3 tbsp olive oil

As a disabled person who has difficulties kneading for a long time, this recipe seems worth the try! I am very curious
Sometimes I enjoy kneading, but no knead bread is a wonderful thing. It's truly magic!!
I’ve tried about 4 different focaccia recipes and while all have been good, this one takes the cake! I do use my stand mixer and dough hook since I have it, but even if I didn’t this recipe would be just as easy. This will be my go to focaccia recipe for the foreseeable future and that’s saying a lot since I’m the girl who likes to make focaccia bread art as gifts so that’s saying a lot as I like my bread art to be beautiful and tasty.

Well, what a pleasant surprise! I've made dozens of focaccia recipes, and this one is the best I've ever made! Exactly as is! (ok, I made one change, I sprinkled Asiago on the bread before cooking! Like Donal said, take the recipe whatever direction you want!)

Yes, I will make this. I love the basil, garlic, and salt. Most recipes call for Rosemary. My wife and I are not lovers of Rosemary. I might add cherry tomato halves and cracked black pepper and a light sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. Just found your channel and have subscribed.
As always with Donal he makes it look doable and delish! Def going to try. He is the most comfortable chef to watch. Never intimidating! Not denigrating his skill but he just makes what he does look easy!!

I made this yesterday to bake today. It was huge when it came out of the oven, I think the recipe said the tray needed to be an inch deep, mine was deeper but the bread was about 3.5 inches deep when it had cooled. I'm a complete novice when it comes to bread baking so I'm not sure what I did wrong. It tastes nice but we'll be eating it for about a week 😂
I'm definitely going to be making this! I love focaccia, but haven't made it for quite awhile. I think I'll start out with the basil-garlic-sea salt topping .. looks delicious!

A favorite focaccia of mine happens to be basil pesto, prosciutto, fresh basil leaves and bocconcini cheese. It is a great way to top homemade focaccia bread. That focaccia bread looks great. Cheers, Donal!
Just got back from Italy, so going to try this recipe; it looks great. I’m going to make a Margherita pizza out of it, using fresh sieved tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. Can’t wait.

Ok so my previous comment was a concern over my dough not looking as wet and loose as Donals. Well I proceeded with it and all I can say is this is the best recipe for focacci I ever tried and I’ve made many but who knew the best Italian focaccia recipe would come from an Irishman in Dublin. 😀☘️ Thank you.
I made this yesterday and it turned out perfect and delicious. The only thing I changed was the topping. I used freshly chopped rosemary and flaky salt.
