If you are taking different traits from different microphone models you don't have to hyphenate or combine the names. You just call it Behringer. Problem solved.

In addition to the casual comparison by speaking into each mic, it would be good to include a visual comparison of their frequency responses. And measure in a way that is identical. For example, playing a pre-recorded sound file and capturing the sound in front of a speaker with the mics in identical placement. Listening in headphones I found the mod to be muddier than the crisp and clear sounding original. in the earlier video, I could barely tell any difference at all between the modded sm58 and the sm7
Am I the only one to find that the AT2040's sound had more body before the transplant? I don't know if that is a good or bad thing (will depend on your use of course), but I suspect the AT capsule was closer to the grill than the transplanted one. I like the fuller sound better personally.
It would be interesting to put this capsule in cheap Chinese SM7b knockoff. Moded at2040 sometimes sounds just like SMb, but it was very sensitive to sound source placement, and most of the time it sounded bad, hollow and metallic.
Build the flattest frequency responsive, noise rejecting, dynamic "still sounds good in an untreated room" budget voiceover microphone possible. And I will then buy it from you. 2 of them.
For some reason, hearing the difference on my current monitors - it feels like this Monster Mod loses a low end resonance that is more present with the SM7B and pronouncedly so with the original SM58. I wish I could identify those frequencies, it's possible that the speakers I'm listening through can't properly resolve which frequencies these body resonances are coming through. It does make me wonder if it's possible to perform this same mod using an AT2020 shell. Might have to find another SM58 to butcher like this, I've currently only got one!

I liked the sound of the AT2040 before, not that the SM58 sounded bad, but it had it's characteristic.

Only if you have an SM58 and an AT2024 on hand that you don't mind stripping. Crazy to buy both to make a frankenstein, just buy the SM7B
Oh well, the modded one sound muffled due to now improper dempening of the capsule. Much prefer sm58/7b
