That looked like a epic adventure spin, love these kinds of days, they are ones you tend to remember ❤. Also love how varied MTB can be, open mountain, forest single track, bike park, summer, winter, all different and all fun 😁.
Looks epic! Go-pro really doesn't show steepness at all, but you got a real sense of it in the moments you were off the brakes and could just see the rate at which you were gaining speed!
Cheers mate. Yeah, that one definitely felt like one of my stronger ones... Not sure I can maintain that standard for ever video but I'll definitely be producing more like it! Thanks for the comment mate. It makes a difference for sure 👍
Walking up to here from glen ample to Bein Each then to Stuc a croin on Wed, weather's ment to be good. Done Ben Vorlich before. Whilst all the time scoping a route for the eeb, which has just been changed to shiguras 👍👍 well done getting up there with a bike to start with
Brilliant video Jamie! Love a big day out in the mountains, especially at this time of year when everything seems a bit moodier. Been looking to do Stuc a Chroin from the Callander side, and then onto Ben Vorlich, and descend down to Loch Earn and loop back round via Glen Ample, might do it in reverse now though after watching this (and wait until summer!)
I have done that route. The link between Stuc a Chroin and Ben Vorlich is really steep on both sides. I don’t think it’s rideable in either direction and you do loose quite a bit of height which smarts when you have to push the bike down as well as up.
Class Jamie. Good to see you out exploring new untouched trails. I find these kind of days out can either go really good or really bad, looks like it went fairly well for you 👍🤟
Nothing like getting out into proper hills. Another damn fine vid Jamie with cracking drone footage. Keep up all this good work and you might be in line for an award or 2 😂
that was pretty wow! dude....nice work, nice riding, nice wee adventure! My local trails are like mini versions of that in some respects, similar terrain but shorter runs. (Old Kilpatrick Hills)
Enjoyed that ! Looks very much like the kind of riding ( big grassy hills) we do in the Cheviot Hills on the English / Scottish border ..albeit a good bit steeper . If those trails actually do dry out then it would be a cracking ride in the summer months ..but also looks like prime midge territory . Cheers Jaimie
Yeah. I think now might be the perfect time. Although that last bit will dry I reckon that section would be good without the high ferns... And less midge! What a place though 👌
I had looked at that route last year but never went through with it. Was the shoulder pretty much all pushing? I noticed you never took your bike to the top, was this simply because of the weather or is it impossible to ride?
The shoulder is deffo hike a bike but the plateau is easy to pedal. So the push is from the wee shielding onto the plateau. I think you can ride down from the summit. There is a small boulderfiled but we found a track down when we descended on foot. We chose not to take the bikes right to the top as the wind was just too much. I think April would be the best time for the route as the tricky bit near the end wouldn't be as overgrown 👍
The joys of taking a mountain bike up a proper mountain ;)
When 10km feels like 50!
Great vid J, keep 'em coming :)
Ha ha. Indeed guys. Glad you enjoyed the vid 🤙
What an adventure Jamie - Thanks for taking us along.
Always a pleasure Darren ❤️
Wow the landscape looks amazing! 🤩 great video Jamie 🤘
It really is a beautiful part of the world Jay 🌎 ❤️

Couldn't agree more mate 👍

Thanks David. Yeah, I feel like that was the giveaway. It would be such an awesome route to hit in the summer, I'm sure of it 👌
And that’s for me is just pure essence of mountain biking🚵🏻♀️🏔 out in mountains 🏔 Amazing 🤩
Yeah. Can't argue with that mate 👍
Lovely part of the country, one for the gravel bike.
Great video. 👍🏻
I think it would go for sure Steven 👍

Epic ride and I really like the music choices, DnB wouldn't have worked on this one!
Cheers Ross. Yeah, I spent quite a bit of time on the music. Thought it would be cool to try something new. Pleased you felt it worked bud 👍
Great wee video as always ,ta very much 👍

Some proper adventure riding that!
It was such a great day mate. Good to get a wee adventure in 👌
Awesome mate! Looked so difficult in those conditions.. more class content from the vlogger of the year ;) 😁
Ha ha, cheers mate. Gotta keep those standards high now 👌🤙

Thank you. That sounds like a monster loop, but deffo worth a try in the summer!

Thanks for the information Steve 👍
Epic stuff a good watch too👊 not many others up there so looked remote.
Cheers Kevin. It's such a nice place to get away from it all. Think I'll head back in April when it's a bit dryer but not too overgrown 🤙
awesome 👍
Cheers 😁

Cheers pal. Fairly well indeed! Sometimes the gambles pay off 😁

Fantastic
Thanks Gordon 👍

Yes, spot on. I've ridden around the Old Kilpatrick Hills and they do have that open, grassy feel. Need to get back there at some point.
Enjoyed that !

Does it get cold in Scotland? I didn't realise that. If I join you for a ride next year I suggest a different one to this so called mtb track.😁
🤣 I'll take you to some awesome trails. Just bring your thermals 🤙

Jamie, what watch are you using for navigation?
Hi Donald. I have a Fenix 6 Pro. It's been a great watch 👍

Pure class eh?! 👌
