Great vid as usual! Ben Ledi really is a belter of a run, although I did puncture twice on the drainage ditches due to my crap bunny hop technique 😂 The section where you passed the walkers with the dog is crazy steep… not ashamed to admit I walked that part!
Thanks mate. Yeah, hopping drainage ditches is really physical and exhausting. We stopped a couple of times to recover otherwise I'd have been puncturing as well. That steep section you mentioned is really scary. I was on it before I realised what was happening. Not sure I could've stopped! Thanks for taking time to comment 😁
Ha ha. Thanks bud. I'm loving getting some mountain content on the channel. My aim is to do a lot more mountains in the summer months. I'll never be too far from the trails though 😁
So good Jamie, think that's going on the list for this year. Take it that your really enjoying the big mountain rides then, you got to get up to Torridon!!!
Thanks Alan. I've decided that through the summer I'm going to attempt two mountains a month. I am really enjoying them although they take their toll on the body and the bike! I think there is a high chance I'll get to Torridon. Fingers crossed anyways!
quality mate...proper day in the mountains - looked good getting to and at the top, nice filming - those descents looked crazy steep and chunky - great ride - big skills and yes, we all need a bit of self preservation mode now and again :)
Thanks bud. I totally agree. I think riding in the mountain requires a different mindset. You are far more exposed and if you end up crashing you rely on a lot of people to get you back off the hill. What a buzz though 🙌
Thanks Nick. UA-cam is a strange place. Maybe I need to start asking for the likes and subscribes but I just hate doing that. I'm pleased you think the content is decent. Hopefully it will get out there and get some more recognition. Either way, Iove making the vids. I'll continue to make the whether they get 10000 views or 100 🤣
Thanks man. That was a fun day. I'm really getting into these mountain rides - for the summer at least! How are you doing mate? Have you been getting much riding in?
@@streetpigeonmtb got to the Golfie early Sunday morning, had the place nearly to myself. Not one spec of mud on the bike just dust a first. Managed 30km and 1300m climbing mint mate👊
Thanks Andy. Yeah, parts of that descent were really pretty tough. I wouldn't have managed a full top to bottom safely. Thanks for the comment. I'm enjoying mixing the content up a bit with these mountain adventures 😁
This video was cracking! Loved the passive slowmo clips🤩 Solid riding too! Looks like a proper brake killer this one lol. I’d like to get this one done 👌
Cheers Struan. It was a cracker! I tried to add in the slow mo to make it a bit more watchable. I was pretty pleased with the edit 😁 I think you would love the place. You'd be rapid on it as well bud 👍
Good to see this descent! It was always pretty close when we were Glasgow way but never managed it! Great to see you getting about the mountains, cracking scenery!
@@streetpigeonmtb it sure is. I was at Ben Donich couple of weeks ago and the view's are awesome. Don't think you'd get a bike to the summit as there's a little scramble involved.
That looked epic. Proper mountain biking. Was a bit disturbed to see you caressing your bike at the end although 10/10 for the portable jetwash 👍😂 Top notch content, please keep it coming!
@@streetpigeonmtb maybe do a bike washing video with lots of slow motion suds and some smooth 70s music on in the background... Ohhhhhh yeaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh 🤣😬
Thanks Stu. No mods for stabilisation mate. The chin footage is all done on a Hero 7 and Hyoersmooth. The slow mo and b-roll is a Hero 9. I can't use the Hero 9 for the main video because of reliability issues 👍
@@streetpigeonmtb think a good dose of blind ignorance helped and unfortunately I don't own a full squish 😭 so no other option really, once your at the top you've got to go down haha. My legs were like jelly at the end. And yep kahunas were tested to the max!
Ha ha. Honestly Steve, I think we both thought the ride was over at that point. Just shows you how good a modern bike tyre is - I wasn't even running heavy casings 🙌
Great vid as usual!

Superb riding I salute you. Fantastic video again, great to see another one in the mountains. I'd have gone for cerise pedals myself though!

This looks absolutely incredible, adding it to my 'must visit' list next time I'm up north
Also nice pedals, I have the exact same set ;)
Brilliant. Let me know how you get on!

Great video. Trail looks amazing. Brilliant riding!
Thanks Rhett. It is a really good route, definitely for those ready to give the mountains a go 👍
Awesome content mate can't understand why you only got 70 likes after nearly 1500 views . Some strange people out there.👍

Brilliant edit Jamie as ever honest POV, must have been a workout. Cannot wait until you get your eyes in the sky gizmo👊

Nice Kevin. That sounds like perfection. Good to know you ate still hitting good trails!
Wow that looked taxing in places fella, proper bone shaker, loving the mix of content man, excellent as ever 🤙

@@streetpigeonmtb I get why. They are so rewarding!!
Yeah. Deffo a summer hobby though! 🤣
Did it on my hardtail a few weeks ago. Did the bigger loop taking in Glen Finglas as well first. Big day out 🤘🏼
That sounds epic. On a hardtail as well! Great effort mate.
Great video mate. I've walked up n down Ledi a few times but I felt every bump in the arms on your descent 😂.
Martin.
Thanks Martin. Yeah, I got fairly roughed up on that hill! Great fun though. What a lovely part of the world!

WOW. Well ridden that was fantastic.

Great riding dude.
Thanks Grant. Defintely on the limit for my level of ability. Great fun though!
Fantastic ride Jamie but ... why did didn't you call me? Haha, just joking. Thanks for filming, Andy
🤣😁
Another great vid, thankyou for sharing :) Boring tech query - do you use reel steady, the Gopro Max lens mod or a.n. other stabilisation process?

Looks so sick🔥
Mate, it pretty much had everything. Slow tech, fast and rowdy, with some nice singletrack to end the day 😀
Did this on my hardtail last year, had to walk a few of the lower sections on the hill path. Agreed, it's rough as F**K!
Mate! So impressed you did that on the HT. That takes kahunas. Very rough in places!

🤣 Respect anyways mate 🙌
Awesome
Thanks again mate 👍
@@streetpigeonmtb I bet when the day was over you were both shattered though. Proper mountain biking, epic! 🤟
I'm still tired TBH 🤣
How long was the ride from leaving the car to returning?
Hi Mike. I believe it was around the 3hr 45 mark. Hope that helps 😁
Kudos. If I'd resort to a tube that early I'd be back in the pub. Scottish drainage ditches 👎
Ha ha. Honestly Steve, I think we both thought the ride was over at that point. Just shows you how good a modern bike tyre is - I wasn't even running heavy casings 🙌
No because you did a better one today 😂
Ha ha. I was just saying that to Allan who I was riding with today. Just proves my riding experience on Scotland has a long way to come!
