    My tips:
    1. Small amplitude kicking, don't kick deep or from the knees.
    2. Try and feel the surface of the water with your hamstrings.
    3. Lift your bum up when kicking on a board.
    4. Fast 25s with 0-2 breaths long rest working on being fast-easy. Look down.
    5. Head up drill - look at a fixed point ahead and don't move your head side to side.
    6. Resistance tubing - against the tubing. Sprint with the tubing.
    7. Drag socks.

I find windmilling the arms helps a lot in sprinting.
Changing pace to avoid difficult situations was put forward as a reason for sprinting but that needs practicing too. So instead of always doing half a length hard then half easy, swap around and do half easy then half hard, really focusing on the change of pace.

I just find it hard not to go full gas when I swim! It was my main sport for years and is probably the only point of a race where I’m going to be super competitive!

    Sir/ Ma'am
Can you make video on Breaststroke vs Freestyle for Ironman

This video is a bit amateur for swimming. Maybe some triathletes benefit from some of the basic tips but it doesn’t go into the specifics when it comes to proper elite freestyle swimming technique which is what I’m looking for. I’m kind of surprised that this video popped up first when I was looking for some genuine elite freestyle sprint technique

We're sorry that this video wasn't as useful as you'd like, we have another video on freestyle swimming that may be better for you - ua-cam.com/video/lX9LW_Y3jBM/v-deo.html but if not we will make a note and hope to make something more useful for you in the future! 🙌

Question for those of you that can remember when you got a good streamlined body position with your legs nice and high in the water: Was it a certain moment when things sort of 'clicked' - like learning to ride a bicycle? Or more sort of a gradual thing?
Hearing your experiences are appreciated :-)

My local pool has fins for people to borrow, along with floats and pull buoys. People regularly use paddles and snorkels too.
