      exactly what i was thinking. for beginners this is a great way to visualize rotation. tho i wouldn't exactly encourage 90 degree rotation but the general idea is clear

    Rotation motion/integration becomes much more clear if you stand, legs slightly apart, and try to rotate your arms (at full length/straight) WITHOUT any movement of the hips. Then try while turning your hips into the arm circling. Suddenly the importance/relevance of rotation becomes hugely clear. AND the amount of YOUR comfortable rotation.

    One comment about the parachute. It does change my kick. Since the strap keeps getting entangled in my feet, I have to kick with my legs open, feet separated. I have noticed that it changes the efficiency of my kicks a lot... for worse :(

    Hey! I’m doing swim team this summer, I’d like to know, Does anyone know, when doing freestyle, (I’ve done team before I just forgot) do I keep my fingers together? Or like a cup?

    • @mamadukes021
      @mamadukes021 7 місяців тому +3

      Neither, keep your fingers slightly apart but not so much that the water can flow through.

    • @mamadukes021

      What @mamaduke021 said. You can feel when your fingers are too far apart. They start to shudder. You'll typically notice it with the pinky the most. Keep adjusting and eventually it'll become natural. Have a blast!

    Bruh I went to the old camp Hiawatha swimming pool at the back of the camp as a kid. I went to the swimming pool at the north YMCA as a kid. I went to the minisa swimming near north high as a kid. I went to the outdoor swimming at my apartment courtyard at June month last year, so by July I was done with rude Julia del Rosa's. I thought these Fernando guys were jerks until a Julia moved near my parents house.
