Step 1: be 6,8ft
Helps for sure 🤣
LMAO HELP 😭💀
I’m only 5’
Bro im only 5”10😭😭
I'm 5'3😭😭
I am 67 yer old man, I do what you use to be call Australian crawl, basically means just use you arms, and let you legs trail behind, and don’t I breath at all, until I finished so far I have managed 43 meters in 18 seconds.
Thank you so much, nobody ever talks about going this fast
Exactly! Few of the top sprinters will talk about their processes, huge shoutout to bjorn for the transparency! You’re going to love our video on Thursday!
Great video, was a pleasure to watch Bjorn at the NCAA championships
Thanks Grant, he’s quite a fun swimmer to watch for sure!
Thanks, after watching this video, I went a 17.62!!! Footage somehow got corrupted though, you just gotta believe me 🤔
I believe you boss🙌🏻
Haters gonna say it’s fake!
🤨
I believe you because my swim made yours look easy. I went 17.61 at the end of practice today, unshaven, drag suit on, no goggles, and the pool was actually made of jelly to slow me down more.
Yeah after watching this and reading your comment, i got a new kind of motivation. I just swam a 17.61 fully clothed. The lifeguards didn't really like me much but they were nonetheless impressed!
Nice try that's awesome but I just got 16.22 sorry you didn't come first
Thanks for the video!! I’m definitely going to use these tips for my swim training for my upcoming 70.3 Triathlon
That’s great! Best of luck to you in that👊🏻
Awesome, thank you! Please keep these coming!
Glad you like it! Subscribe and more will be coming 🔜
i got a 24.4 LCM, my old time a few months before was 25.1 so big improvement thank you!
HOWW
From a Sweden-based fan, it was so great to see Björn! The man is an absolute beast in the water! Go Bears!
Till Björn (om du läser det här): vi saknade dig på SM här nyligen men fortsätt att briljera på Cal!
A beast in the water for sure! Thanks for the support 🇸🇪
Amazing! Go Björn!
Thanks, I’m big Bjorn fan too!
Just subbed. One of the best swim channels I've seen.
Much appreciated 🙃
More great swimming content ahead
Can you do a video on the catch technique for a 50m freestyle and great vid btw!
Kyle, thank you so much for the video! I found it to be very helpful and informative. Bjorn mentioned using swim socks on his hands to keep up the length of his stroke at the 11min mark. What socks is he using and size? I could only find Power Bags which is just a mesh bag. Thank you!
Brilliant video
Much appreciated Sony! 😃
Super tips!
Super helpful for everyone, big shoutout to Bjorn!
Great videos!
Thanks! More coming soon
Good stuff.
Go Bears!
Keep it up, Mr. Millis!
Thank, Andrew
@@KyleMillis You got it, Kyle. Would like to meet you someday
Great video
Thanks! More coming
Awesome and very interesting video to see Kyle. Is there anything related to swimming you can give us advice on Kyle ?
Oh ya - 2023 will be full of Kyle Millis Swimming and College Recruiting content, you're gonna want to stay tuned for sure 🔜
Closing you eyes🤔 interesting take! I’ll definitely give it a shot on my next 50💪
I tried it out and closing your eyes while breathing really forces you to get your head back in line 👍🏻
@@KyleMillis intresting! I’ll perhaps try it at time trials. I have a meet tomorrow so it might be a little risky. Maybe with some practice th!
I saw this video and I have a 50 free event I n a few days this helped a lot :)
Glad you got some value out of it, it's changed how I swim freestyle for sure.
Hejsan, hello in Swedish. Would Bjorn agree that the dive follows through the same plane and angle of the start block for the hole " no splash entry" to be achieved? Tack!
Didn’t realize bjorn looks similar to drew Kibler
Interesting take, got me thinking now
Same I thought it was kibler
Just watched this and now I go 18.0 thanks !
I had similar success!
does Bjorn stay relaxed in the shoulders while sprinting?
Closing your eyes is very interesting. Sometimes I feel like I press too much when there is someone neck and neck with me, especially at the end of the race and it hurts me. But I just love racing and I dont think I would swim as fast if I didnt feel like I was in a race.
Love it, I totally see that working for some and not others. Just preference, keeping ur the eyes closed helps you focus on getting your head back in line.
@@KyleMillis I recall Kyle Chalmers also saying in an interview last year that he swims mostly with his eyes closed. That's interesting especially because of how he reels people in at the end of his 100s.
I tried swimming with my eyes closed in a sprint 50 and hit the lane line after my turn…. never again
Thank you I have the 50 free tmrw (SCY) and hoping to go 20.75 or under.
That’s fast! Good luck man
i will try this, my time now is 31,89 and i will report back what i get on my meet tomorrow
Good luck at your meet! Try this and let me know!
Crazy long fingers might help. If you can scratch your elbow with the same hand...
I have big hands but I was not Bjorn with those digits!
Ain't no way this video popped up on my recommendation a week before my race.😭
Best of luck 🫡
Now, time to break the world record by nearly 3 seconds!
No no, don’t worry - SCY which he has done many times
SCY record is 17.63 by Dressel lol
i also close my eyes when i breathe lol
Smart move!!
Bjorn tuff 🔥🔥🔥⁉️
He's the man for sure!
it also helps if you’re 6’8 like bjorn😅
It sure does but all the tips can help anyone!
I wish this came out 2 years ago
Better later than never!
Just started swimming, my 50 free swim is 46.6
43.2 now
Update?
@@rajeshgohel9034 yeah 39.2
Bjorn already knows this, but bjorn means "bear" in Swedish. So it's appropriate he's at Cal ... Go Bjorns!!
He makes sure to remind us 😉 it’s like he was meant to end up with the Berkeley Bears
Yo I just went a 24.39 in LCM. I want to have a 20.5 by winter. Do you think this is achievable if I have a 21.29 right now?
I’ve seen bigger drops before! Keep it up and try out some of Bjorn’s tips
Yo, what did you swim by now
@@tieshaha2392 21.5 lmaooo
@@Pres1dentDrew keep working
So much love for Bjorn 🇸🇪
I went an 18 in practice from a push with a drag suit, but I didn’t get it on film…
Happens to me all the time, uggh!
Is Ryan Hoffer still swimming?
I know he’s doing swimming clinics still!
I think a lot comes to genetics. He’s tall with long arms giving more water to hold and pull
For sure genetics is a factor but the tips he’s saying are still valid to help anyone.
Me preparing to join a DI school after watching this video
It empowers you to feel compelled for sure haha, dream big!
Bro i have a race after 1 h
Sekarang World Aquatics membuat lintasan baru setiap 25 m langsung balik (dulu 50 m lalu balik) , memang ada tujuannya yaitu untuk Break The World Record
50 yards I assume?
Yep, 50 LC would be insane 🤯😂
Wanna trade caps. I need a cal cap.
You might have to attend a Cal swim meet to make that happen, the swimmers are super nice ;)
@@KyleMillis We can do it at superleagues next year kyle
bro is 6ft 8 what a speciman
A specimen for sure, but, his tips can be applied to all!
Well do it, world record is 20,91 seconds
And Bjorn does not hold it btw, no disrespect. Probably 50 chickens distance or idk what americans use
Oh man, calling SCY “chicken distance”… now I got a bone to pick. SCY> Meters. I’ll say it everyday!
@@KyleMillis SCY = Square chicken yards?
@@KyleMillis lol I have no right to speak I swim 50 *meters* in 27 seconds on a good day
