Extending my personal hopes for you, your husband and your son, I would like to give you a small bit of info. These plants, "Crassula kimnachi", common name "Buddha's Temple", are purported to be somewhat difficult to grow. Personal experience has taught me that the best explanation for this is their very fine root system. I think their roots require a little more support than some other plants. So I grow mine in a mix of about 30% organic and 70% inorganic. This 'heavier' mix does a little better supporting the roots, and the central root 'stalk' ... and mine grow VERY well. I got somewhere in the vicinity of 30 to 50 offsets (babies) from my last purchased crassula. I water them every other day or every third day, just coating the plants and the top of the soil with a spray ... like a heavy dew had fallen on them. Wish I could show you my kimnachi 'Forest'.
Hi Ashley, do you still have this plant or any update on it? I got one not too long ago and I could use any information I can find on how to care for it.
Okay, I need an intervention. I want every plant you introduce. This one is fantastic. I've never seen one before. My daughter is starting to become concerned with my "quick errands" to the local nurseries. :-)

Hi Ashley! I got a Buddha temple with no roots. What is the best way to root it? Soil or water? Thx, Michele l
