This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. My 90 yo mom has the exact same Delta shower but her arthritis makes turning the knob really hard, and I was wondering about swapping out the knob for a lever handle. You showed me that it’s do-able, and even gave me the part #. Many thanks, and know that you helped out a nice old lady. (I “liked” and subscribed!) I’ll do the metal polish trick, too.
As a plumber apprentice I have to say I feel bad when called in to do a job like this. I feel like the company is just stealing their money! Only thing I would add is, before you remove any screws, or set screws or touch anything close the drain and put a towel over it. I guarantee at some point you will drop one of those screws and it has a high probability of going right down that drain!

Great video; I bought the exact part number on your video; I also have to return the handle you had on your description; I figured it was what you were using in the video, but it wasn't. Nonetheless, I have a rotating diverter, and it worked. Originally, I thought I'd need to replace the cartridge and glad I did not.

Looking great!! Are y'all planning on painting the tub as well to match the white tile? I've seen some youtube videos of people painting their bathtubs to either change the color or to paint over rusting areas. My tub has a rusting spot by the drain, and I'm considering painting it for this reason. If y'all were going to do a video, I would definitely hold out to watch your video first lol.
Trinity, Yes. We are putting out a painted tub video. We already painted one of our tubs (with an interesting product), but we have to create the video. We think that our painted tub video will be a really good one. We will put it out soon😃! -DIYPC

Your video shows you used Delta handle # RP48717 but description notes below your video links Amazon Delta part #RP17443. Which is it?
Some models will work with other handles as well.
this didn't work for me and i have the exact same tub and replacement handle as you. i believe i also need to delta ball part rp70

#0000 steel wool will get you that look without any polish
Steel wool puts scratch marks on it as well 😲.
