One of my favourite scenes of the entire show... I also absolutely love how despite Viktor's hair being longer, his hair is kept short in the ethereal realm from his point of view, showing us that he is still the same Viktor we grew fond of.
I think it is also a great representation that he is neglecting his physical body the more he delves into spiritual enlightenment. His hair isnt long because he likes it that way. Its long because he has stopped focusing on self care in place of his goals
I really don't trust this Messiah thing he's got going on, especially after seeing all the cultists go lifeless, almost like they were just puppets getting controlled
something i really like is how Viktor wasn't able to instantly heal Vander like the others, there aliments where physical but the mental trauma needed to take time, felt right
Mental trauma and all. But I also think the physical just weren't as fixable either. His case was *YEARS* of transformation, and whether he was brought back from the dead or he was comatose till the current time is scary to me. Scary how much he might have suffered during that time of transformation.
Plus he said explicitly that Vander's mind was tangled with the beast. Still love despite how much humanity he lost, Viktor remains true to his principle to help.
Also, Vander is still guilty for his past to be too passive of the war and also let Silco on the run with his drug empire and even responsible for Felicia's death.
This is empathy and compassion. While I'm not sure if Viktor knew who Vander was or knew him personally, spending night and day with someone to heal them is something truly special. And unfortunately, something not many people are willing to do anymore.
Vander and Silco were friends of Felicia and Connol, so they were like godfathers to Violet and Powder. So the relationship they created with the girls wasn't just by chance.
I just wish they didn't cram all those different plots into one season. The rose prison was rushed as hell. Could have spent the extra time letting the main plot breath a bit more.
In a way you could say that the flashback scene is meant to restore not only Vander's humanity, but also Victor's feelings that he seems to have lost. Just look at his smile as he sees Vander memories
It reminds me of X-Men First Class. There's a scene where Xavier reads Erik's mind and unlocks a memory Erik had when he was a kid of himself and his mom. Charles tears up as he could feel what Erik felt.
Act 2 is peak of this season. And one of the most peaked moments in arcane. I honestly don't really care what happens later. I don't care about flaws. The emotional WEIGHT of this episodes is something you experience couple of times in life. And for that. I thank every person who created this masterpiece.
I hope we see more of this and the evolution of Vander to Warwick. In the game Warwick is a consious being and capable of speech. His memories are fractured but he remembers Vi and Jinx. He evern follows a moral code of only hunting those who have the scent of blood on their hands. He is still a good person no matter what and has always being a man despite wearing the flesh of a monster.
Love how Vi and Jinx mom does that peace sign over her head. The same thing Ekko saw powder do when he was remembering who she use to be during there fight on the bridge in S1
If this whole scene doesn’t win any awards, I’ll protest. The music, the art style of Vander’s and the beasts minds being intertwined, the story of what’s happening in the scene. this has to be one of the most beautifully well done animations I’ve ever seen
1:20 This is so well-made 1st "Remember me": shows all the kids with Mylo and Claggor 2nd "Remember me": shows Vander "I'm on my own": Vi appearing alone as Vander slides off the screen, literally depicting what happened in S1 E3 3rd: "Remember me": Vander's second appearance The art style, animation fits so well. I'm kinda mad that the official version of this song isn't the same as this one, something feels more organic about this version that better suits the visual and context. Still, all of these things combined hit so hard, definitely one of my favorite scene with What Have They Done To Us
Whatever is influencing Viktor, the sad thing is that here he really shows empathy and performs a truly selfless act for a person he didn't know much at all. A true healer, or at least trying to be one.
it was interesting getting to see the inside of mind of vander/warwick broken mind, the beast having fully taken over but deep down somewhere in his mind he is still the man he use to be just tangle deeply in all of the mess of hate, angery, and trauma
This scene breaks me in so many ways. We see the man he once was, Viktor refusing to give up on the life of this good man, the happy memories he had, the people he loved, Spending days trying to at least rediscover his humanity, a glimpse at the lives Powder and Vi would have had if not for the bridge incident. It’s too much man
I love the imagery, with Warwick's wildness being represented by distorted faces and lava... I don't know how to describe it, but it makes me think of a dangerous labyrinth that the two are trying to get through.
I stream tears watching Act 2. Everything about the good parts of Arcane is just absolute, pure, peak television. Cinema, even. We love you, Vander. We will never forget you. You are nostalgia, and the memories of a once better life. You deserved better...

Jinx survived in the finale, because when she and Warwick Vander fall to the bottom, there was a pink light to the right side and she has the Shimmer power since Season One that makes her having Super Speed. Also, Caitlyn later observed the system of Piltover's sewer and there's a huge gap of the sewer and Jinx must've escaped from one of the sides. Also, the last scene showed a zeppelin, in Season One Episode One, young Powder said that she wants to ride one of those so she must be the one who rode that thing and lived a peaceful life.

There could still be hope with him in the next sequels. I think Jinx left the capital on that zeppelin bringing “Warviktor” with her in order to restore his humanity by keeping him away from Singed as far as possible

Man this scene was everything. It gave people hope, it highlights Viktors great qualities, it shows that the sisters can be healed and that Zaun could prosper with Hextech and with Viktor. It also at the same time highlights Vanders great qualities as someone who just refuses to lose his humanity and regaining it in the name of his adoptive daughters. I like how dangerous it was shown. Viktor knowing he was losing his powers but deeming a Beast with a glimpse of human the chance. All to be in vain. Being killed by his friend, his tribe being reduced to a catatonic state and the beast becoming even more dangerous. Like it showed the cost of being human and the hopelessness one can easily encounter in their lives. I screamed at Jayce at 3 and was heartbroken with the result.
