Jinx’s character development through the years is just perfect. From this Harley Quinn Wanna be in her release in game to this character full of life and depth, a character so human that all of us can relate to in some ways, it’s just simply amazing.
She's perfect
"in SOME ways"?! For anyone who has ever experienced self harm or suicidal thoughts, this character is a beacon of hope. She gave me back the spark to write again, something I had lost back in 2018. She's despair, rage, rebellion, sadness, hopelessness, madness, strength and generosity, all in one char.
I'm glad someone wrote something like this.
All those people laying their hands on her when she frees them in the prison scene ... the changes in expression on her face and what you can just tell it's doing in her mind ... so amazingly captured without any words ...
The best character development I've seen in so long.. in such a short time frame. Act 1 vs act 2 are two totally different people. Incredible.

she did survive lol, the purple dash streak right before the explosion into the vents, then it is revealed afterwards when cait is looking at the hexgate blueprints, holding a piece of jinx's grenade while looking at the ventilation ducts, realising Jinx is alive, the final scene with the blimp ties it together, knowing Jinx wanted to run away forever/fake her death so Vi wouldn't ever chase after her again

@@u26535I see people saying that everywhere, but it really doesn't make sense. That version of WW was stronger than when they first fought, and he had full grip on here. There was no body found of either so that part will always be up for debate. But if you watch the scene again, Cait wasn't smiling because Jinx escaped, she was smiling because Vi was humming the song from the beginning of the show. Which makes her walk away from her work to comfort her. Practically no one gets a happy ending, so it wouldn't make sense that they it so vague on her being alive. Even the explosion with the shimmer streak is so vague. If you have to pause the show on perfect frame to see the shimmer, then I highly doubt it was intentional.

Just watched this video for the first time and realized the editor is a genius. The way the song shifts from "please let me go" to "don't let me go," combined with the video playing in reverse, from Jinx taking her own life to using her ultimate is brilliant. The music adds a twisted vibe, and realizing all of this made me love the song even more. The lyrics hit even harder, making it an emotional experience!

Dear God thank you for keeping me alive long enough to witness something as beautiful as this show.
I think Jinx has become my favourite character of all time, in everything, ever. And this was just one of a number of utterly heartbreaking songs in the show - which I only actually found about three weeks ago. I just don't see how anything that comes in the future can top this. I'm sure something will at some point, but I can't imagine it at the moment.

I'm holding onto the hope that Riot will manage to knock it out of the park with upcoming characters given how good of a job they did writing Arcane's characters, and I'm also holding onto the hope that Riot's animation department is able to stick with the apparent plan to come back Arcane's characters at some point. I'm just scared that it'll be many, many years before that happens.

This series singlehandedly made me upset with life and at the same time love every detail of it. What.
I feel like Arcane will win a lot of awards for it's amazing 2 seasons.
Still not as good as s1, s2 was very rushed, many plots time jumped and such they could easily spread the whole thing in like 3seasons.

This song portraits Jinx’s struggle perfectly. Also, I love how she is singing how she wants to leave this “wasteland”, but last words are “Don’t let me go”. Perfect for that scene. Both of them ❤

I loved this scenes at 2:04 how everything goes backwards. It's like what if Jinx hadn't shot the missile at the council, what if Silco hadn't killed Vander and tried to kill Vi and separate the sisters. What if Vander hadn't taken people to the bridge which then caused the death of Vi and Jinx's parents. What if Isha hadn't sacrificed herself. Literally all of these scenes are like what if they could go back in time and do something different then none of this would have happened.
the fact that in the show we only hear the "please let me go" and not the "dont let me go" is so heartbreaking, and i think it parallels Jinx, she was just so tired after losing Isha, and felt like she had nothing to live for, but deep down, she wanted someone to save her
edit: thinking about it, i think this song hits me emotionally more than "I Really Want To Stay at Your House" from Cyberpunk Edgerunners

This line hit me so hard, I always wanted to have lots of friends, doing everything to have lots of friends.
But sometimes I don't realize that I'm making a lot of mistakes, and when I realize it, it's too late and I'm all alone.
Whoever ordered these sequences did an awesome job.

Arcane: A rare Modern Masterpiece easily up there with GOAT shows ever made in any and all respects. I hope I am wrong but this has set a standard that will be difficult to meet until the ends of time.
As someone who tried to end himself and still gets flashbacks every other day on it and what led me to this decision it hits so hard. I relate with Jinx SO much. Stay save out there everybody. And be nice to each other! One good word can make the difference for somebody that is on the edge of pulling the pin.

I like the detail that at 1:30, when the lyrics are "I know it's my fault that I'm here all alone," the scene is showing Jinx's guilt over her accidental killing of her brothers, which lead to Vi's outburst that separataed them, and combined ended in her being left to be alone
The switch from “I know it’s my fault that I’m here all alone” to “if it weren’t for you I’d be here all alone” and everything after that hits so hard. I almost burst into tears when I noticed it

Why .. she is the most evil character in the whole show. She is a thief, arsonist, drug dealer, murderer and terrorist. She doesn't deserve happiness but a prison cell.

She didnt know Cait mom was in tower, she did not kill Isha, when Isha was with her for a year she did nothing bad to anyone. Cait shot people with her rifle so is she also a murderer, same with Jayce killing a kid inetnionaly or not he still did the kill. Jinx is a casulty of people around her. Dont forget Cait and Vi gassing innocent people. In the show there is no good people, everyone did something bad.

Ekko this, Ekko that. And he is totally cool don’t get me wrong. But Vi being that “someone” worth building something new for Jinx and her true reason to stay in this world will always hit differently.

@@Blaidd1298Wdym? Vi has been the core of all her emotions since the beginning. She came back to help Zaun mainly because of her. Was ready to jump at Warwick because of her. Ekko was her motivation Vi was always her reason for everything. Even her relationship with Isha that kept her going for a while was based on what she could never have with her sister.
That’s why she walked away so they can both break the circle.
@@Rumx1412 She wanted to kill herself in order to "break the cycle" whatever that means, meaning Vi was not that "Someone" because she was there and she still commited suicide, it was Ekko who saved her with a time machine, and she went to the firelights after, and it was after that she decided not to kill herself and help out, had nothing to do with Vi. Vi was having se'x with Caitlyn during all that.
Also what "break the cycle" even means? Not have any relationship and cut ties with all your loved ones cus there might be pain in them? How is that a good thing?

@@Blaidd1298The MV literally shows you that it was Vi all along. Suicid3 and the reasons someone wants to act upon aren’t one dimensional. “Oh V was there so she wasn’t the one.”
Jinx wanted to end it all because as she said “there is no good version of me” she locked Vi out because she thinks that her presence in this life only causes pain to her sister and others and Vi will never let her go or stop the circle of self destruction otherwise. That’s why she pushed her towards Caitlyn and saw her ending it all as the only way for both of them to be free.
It’s not because Vi is not enough for her it’s because Vi is too much.
Vi is the home Jinx always wants to return back too. You cannot compare the bond and history those two have with Ekko who she hasn’t interacted with for years in her real time line and only spend a few days with in the end
