Incredibly grateful for your work, I see from the first second in it a huge potential for a good battle of the NCR against the Brotherhood, not to mention similar projects in the universe since the "Fulcrum" comic from "Hellstern". What best describes the NCR? She takes advantage of her enemies' flaws to almost as much as they can afford. This can even be seen in canon during the first battle of Hoover Dam against Caesar's Legion. The Brotherhood and the Enclave may have the best armor and weaponry, but they have always had two weaknesses-their armies were never designed for large-scale warfare. Even if they suddenly had Liberty Prime, it would only delay them from defeat. The NCR doesn't have the best equipment and weapons, but they can afford it. It's available and easy to replenish, and more valuable equipment can be used when conventional methods don't work or are needed elsewhere. They have everything, but little by little. But at the same time, the best equipment goes to more experienced fighters who have gone through the most severe battles. I won't even be surprised that they will ever have tanks and planes (Like P 51 Mustang). Not many, not the best and very old. But capable of having a constant supply and aimed at full-fledged military operations.

This battle begins to show the sheer number of men the NCR has at its disposal, but lacks the equipment and tech the brotherhood has. Now as the for the scene, the element of surprise was nice showing that the NCR is not just a militia but a well trained and organized military force and is overall well trained. I also like the scene of the brotherhood soldiers moving to defensive positions and preparing for battle it's like The brotherhoods war machine has started ticking and the battle was about to turn into a blood bath for the NCR. I would also like to see vertibird to vertibird combat and possibly close air support for the BROTHERHOOD. besides these request I love the animation.
Holy Fragmentation, NCR draws first blood multiple times! But the moment I saw those two BoS Soldiers in T-51 my blood was up and I knew it was on like Donkey Kong! I don't care who you are, nobody ignores T-51 Power Armor!
This battle within the lore marked a turning point for both factions. First of all, it would put an end to the NCR-Brotherhood of Steel war. It should be noted that this war happened shortly after both groups cooperated in the war against the Enclave in California, where they wanted to possess all the technology that the settlement had, including Vertibirds. The NCR kept these and the Enclave scientists (which is ironic since the Allies, especially the US, did the same thing at the end of World War II), and all this caused tensions to rise to the point where war broke out. The war was bloody. The Brotherhood was a military power with a high-quality military culture that far surpassed the NCR in everything: weaponry, equipment, training, discipline. They just didn't have as many soldiers as the Republic. The Brotherhood knew exactly where to attack: the gold mines, devaluing the currency so much that they had to resort to using bottle caps again. They also raided the NCR's supply routes, just like the caravans. The NCR had very good infantry, but it was designed to face invading tribes and gangs, not opponents as well trained as the Enclave or the Brotherhood. This justifies why in the wars between the Brotherhood and the Enclave, the Brotherhood suffered the most casualties and dealt the most damage to the Enclave. The only unit that had equal quality were the Rangers. The key factor in why they lost the war was their casualties. Elder Elijah was the main responsible, keeping the Brotherhood at Helios One, a place with many flanks, which the NCR took advantage of, eliminating much of the Brotherhood's forces. The Battle of Helios One was one of the bloodiest in the NCR. The NCR had their standard armor, cheap for mass production, and their service rifles were not the best against T-series power armor, which was bulletproof. The wear and tear, along with the number of troops, was key to taking the position. After this, the NCR's power grew even more, with the prize of having defeated the Brotherhood and having their own power armor (albeit worse armor since they didn't know how to use it completely) and being able to create heavy infantry, a path that the army took to separate from the Rangers. As for the Brotherhood, they returned to their origins, hiding and living as hermits.
In the lore the T-51b can withstand point-blank range from Laser Beams, 7.62 rounds until large & concetrated caliber's such .50 BMG & High-explosives do serious damage, but yeah 5.56 of the NCR Service-Rifle woulnd't do much, if every NCR don't concetrate their fire at a Paladin or a Sergeant-Knight
Even though it's a 1 minute clip, it gives a lot of... ideas, I guess, about how both sides are going to be at the start. Here, we see the NCR are using stealth and infiltration tactics to surprise the BoS initiates(?) lines to allow them to get the element of surprise. It also gives an idea that the BoS is likely complacent or even wasn't expecting an attack so soon on Helios. After all, up to the point of the story to Helios, the BoS has mainly been dealing with raiders and settlers than an actual organized army.
I have done a very minor amount of 3D rendering but, I WAS COMPLETELY MESMERIZED BY THE SHADOWS AS THE NCR MOVED! Truly, quality work! Also, I am a big fan of your Halo Reach project.
I love the aesthetic here. Everything feels like a Fallout 2 cutscene. Same vibes, with modern polish and editing. Bethesda's marketing department should contract you, if they haven't already.
Although in game 5.56x45 is weak against armor, in real life it can easily penetrate most body armor because of it's very high velocity. Especially out of a 20 inch rifle like the NCR is using, M193 (55 grain projectile) will be traveling 3200-3300 feet per second. It would not make it through power armor, but it could probably smoke right through the combat armor with a square-on hit. Any shots hitting the armor at an angle would likely be deflected, however.
Everybody are talking that NCR are so competent here, but this is First Recon we are talking about. These are the best NCR has to offer after veteran rangers, of course they would be competent! Now, when republic troops achieved what they could with the element of surprise, it's interesting to see how Brotherhood will cope with these initial losses. Thank you for the upload!
Holy shit i cant believe how awesome its made so far, like damn bayonet charging against the BOS and the stealth approach. Thats gonna slap hard im definitely looking foward seeing the end result
they really secularize their training. Knights receive the lions share of combat training. Those training to become knights are probably on par with NCR recruits, but with better equipment. Scribes should really be good with laser weapons but lack tactical prowess. If the brotherhood had capitulated and joined the NCR like the Rangers did, they probably would represent an arm of the government dedicated to investigating military technology. Would have been a merciful end for the western brotherhood- but the apocalypse has no favorites.
You're determination for respecting the source material is admireable. It's explained in New Vegas that the Brotherhood of Steel had one man for every fifteen the NCR had, and you can really see just how outmanned the brotherhood is here.
Great scene of the Brotherhood patrol taken out quietly to let the NCR get into a closer position. You can tell the NCR was based on squad tactics. The squad timed grenade throw too was killer!
There is a pretty significant flaw though and that’s the reaction time of the second guard, from the moment the ambush started, he had 3 full seconds to react and he didn’t. The average reaction time is 150 milliseconds to 300 milliseconds, 1 second is *1000* milliseconds, the guard was about 20x slower than the average person. And the guy that spotted the grenade, he took 6 seconds to react, that’s 40x slower than the average person and at least 5 seconds were spent staring at the grenade. WHAT THE HELL?!
@@cpaul562 That is easy. The Brotherhood think they are invincible. Up until that point they had steam rolled everyone. I bet you that guard, even fully equipped as he was, never saw actual combat the way the NCR had. Paladins have all the combat experience probably. I think his slow reaction really drives home that they thought they were untouchable.
@@echostarling84 that’s the problem, those guards were knights meaning they have to have some combat experience and every member of the Brotherhood is trained since their teens for this exact sort of thing, also the Brotherhood and the NCR have been at war for years at this point, those knights would have seen combat against the NCR at least once or twice. I don’t believe that the guy who got stabbed should have survived, but his training should have kicked in immediately with him blind firing his weapon and moving to the nearest bit of cover. Plus stabbing someone with a bayonet is not a stealthy move because the guards would be screaming at the top of their lungs. Plus plus, I’m more pissed about the guard who just stared at the grenade for six seconds.
hype man, this is arguably the most important event that happens in F:NV outside of the player view, so awesome to see it play out in a video basically! Looks amazing too
Not a major NCR supporter but I think a lot of people forget the NCR's military would have acted like this at the start of the Mojave Campaign. By the time we see them in the Mojave in NV they have been there for a long campaign so morale is low even without taking conscripts into account, they've had disruption from the likes of Hanlon and Legion Frumentarii and residents of the Mojave had grown tired of the occupation. There is a reason why they won battles like Helios One and conquered a significant proportion of post war America despite technological disadvantages. Nice portrayal of them here! Excited to see what comes next.
Awh hell yeah, SODAZ is back with my favourite franchise. Also, if you wanna see vehicles in action and maybe dig for some more ideas, Fallout: Tactics is a goldmine. It also has some good tracks to source. And it has a looted Sherman tank in it.

As for the Brotherhood, they returned to their origins, hiding and living as hermits.
interesting to see how much punishment sodaz believes power armour can take
I'm guessing there will be some Rangers or snipers with anti material rifles showing up to kill the power armor. That's what happened in lore at least
@@ferrox8421 hopefully Sodaz follows the lore.
I hope we get to see the Brotherhood shine even tho they lost the battle
In the lore the T-51b can withstand point-blank range from Laser Beams, 7.62 rounds until large & concetrated caliber's such .50 BMG & High-explosives do serious damage, but yeah 5.56 of the NCR Service-Rifle woulnd't do much, if every NCR don't concetrate their fire at a Paladin or a Sergeant-Knight
Awesome work! I especially like what you gave done with the NCR.
After all, up to the point of the story to Helios, the BoS has mainly been dealing with raiders and settlers than an actual organized army.
the second they heard the explosion, the soldiers in power armor knew they were needed outside
I have done a very minor amount of 3D rendering but, I WAS COMPLETELY MESMERIZED BY THE SHADOWS AS THE NCR MOVED!
Truly, quality work!
Also, I am a big fan of your Halo Reach project.
I love those NCR Special Forces types you designed.
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
"Congratulations. You have been bayonetted by some conscript. Your extensive training and experience proved itself to be absolutely useless"
This is absolutely incredible! Looking forward to more!
I love the aesthetic here. Everything feels like a Fallout 2 cutscene. Same vibes, with modern polish and editing.
Bethesda's marketing department should contract you, if they haven't already.
Playing New Vegas currently & now SODAZ have put this excellent series together. Great stuff
Any shots hitting the armor at an angle would likely be deflected, however.
the NCR looks so badass in balaclavas! absolutely hyped for the finished product
Night patrol, with flashlights on and standing next to burning fire barrels. I can hear the Army Drill Sergeants screaming from here.
But their not first recon, their wearing the wrong beret with the wrong symbol.
@@cpaul562 I'm fucking blind then, my bad
@@tius_thus_reborn eh, everyone makes mistakes.
@@cpaul562 Wrong should be corrected to different. The NCR use green berets to identify officers of the their army.
@@boksull um could clarify your statement please?
"War, War Never Changes. Men do through the roads they walk." - Ulysses
Bull and Bear, Bear and Bull.
God the sound, the lighting and the amazing animation all combined into one incredible package
Love the Mike Insurgency dialogue. Classic.
When an Ncr soldier try to hit you with that bayonet and you give them that T51b powered armor starez
after watching this a third time, you are getting a new patron! I LOVE ME SOME POST APOCLYPTIC FAN FILMS
Yeah!
Holy shit i cant believe how awesome its made so far, like damn bayonet charging against the BOS and the stealth approach. Thats gonna slap hard im definitely looking foward seeing the end result
God, this makes me want the Fallout 4 New Vegas remake even more. I don't know how you do it, but you never miss.
The attention to detail is awesome!
I can't wait to see how this progresses. Really hoping you do justice to the Brotherhood!
The highlight of my week right here
Hardcore NCR? Hell yeah! It's a dream come true.
This is so sick! Great choice of music and that overhead shot of the NCR troopers sneaking is just gold, I can't wait to see the final product
I love the animation. Have issues with how incompetent the BoS is portrayed but hell, it's just an animation and a damn good one at that.
they really secularize their training.
@@blackwoodsecurity531 The BoS capitulates to no one boy.
Looks amazing too
Next to the first battle of Hoover dam yeah.
I need more. This is so sick and coming together so well.
This made me realize the combat knives every NCR trooper carries were probably also supposed to serve as bayonet attachments
Love what you did with the operational difference of the NCR and the brotherhood. Keep up the good work!
You have the appreciation and love of the lore.. More power to you SODAZ
I fucking love the idea of NCR special forces using the bayonet
im impressed how you do these projects so fast, you are really constant and motivated to do this
I love your work! This is a super cool battle to explore.
I just love watching your animation improve, you've come a long way.
So good! Amazing as always! The gore is so amazing!
Brotherhood grunts use Marine voicelines from Black Mesa. Mike Tsarouhas' voice is fucking immortal.
Awh hell yeah, SODAZ is back with my favourite franchise.
Also, if you wanna see vehicles in action and maybe dig for some more ideas, Fallout: Tactics is a goldmine. It also has some good tracks to source.
And it has a looted Sherman tank in it.
Bro who is disliking these videos? I don't understand the logic. SODAZ makes the most top tier animations ever.
I hope see it soon, it looks really cool!
Always loved NCR and love them even more in this. So cool!
So hyped to see this completed.
That grenade detonation was SPICY too
This makes the NCR so much more competent than they are in reality lol.
oh man how much I weep when the animation snippet ends when the battle is just beginning
This looks so good! It feels like a legit movie
I love the use of the New Vegas combat music
always excited to see is animations i love them
I could watch a whole series of these
By God he's doing it again! Absolutely fantastic work so far! I'm beyond excited to see more
Our boy is getting faster amazing work sir sodaz!!
Love how it was just like Imperial Guard and Space Marines
This makes me think of something. I REALLY hope we see 1st Recon sharpshooters at some point in this!
Классно и здорово, но мало... Ждем следующих видео! Вам желаю успехов в дальнейшей работе!
If love, death, and robots did fallout. Big fallout fan, Todd Howard should hire you for the fallout show.
Amazing. Would love you to do Legion stuff one day. Keep up the incredible work!
And so it begins (I’m so excited for this)
I'm holding up my own NCR Service Rifle and cheering while I watch this.
Now all we need is the battle of Hoover Dam and see the Courier wipe the floor with all these guys single handedly hopped up on jet
Damn another glorious piece from the legend himself...
I support the Brotherhood! AD VICTORIUM!
