Miska, I don’t see it that way. You too can purchase these cars and do with them as you see fit. Causes it belongs to you. I live in a area that is extremely high demand. And people build works of art. Then in less than twenty years they sell and the next person who suffered to achieve their dream, tears down to build their dream house. Have seen it happen over 100 times on my island.

It is a nice sentiment but to remain small a company has to have high margins on each unit sold. These cars sell for close to $1 million each and I am certain the margins are quite healthy. If GM or Ford or Toyota were building hand made, very limited production vehicles and selling them for extremely high prices, they would probably be small companies as well. I am glad companies that value true craftsmanship exist and can survive but I'm also glad that large, high volume companies exist as well so the public can afford to own automobiles.

In '76, a scruffy 3.8 coupe I had purchased, with a shot engine, was finally refitted with a fresh, rebuilt 3.8 block, just in time to drive down from Vermont to Connecticut, to my parent's house for Thanksgiving. A gorgeous morning as I pulled onto Interstate I-91 (exit 4, Putney). Within minutes I'd attracted a Mako shark Vette, and shortly thereafter, a 911, joined our little convoy. From Brattleboro to Hartford, we cruised in the passing lane, until first the 911, and a few miles further the Corvette took exits off the highway. Thumbs up from both. A fun ride I'll never forget...
