- Taking a car that Enzo Ferrari named as the most beautiful in the world and evolving it for the modern age is a bold move but one that Eagle has been pulling off with aplomb for some time now. As the company points out, more years have now passed since the first Eagle E-type was created than when that car first came off the production line and it is still in frequent use. What's more, that customer became the company's chairman and there can't be many more ringing endorsements.
In the third part of our series of Goodwood Masters presented by Motul, looking at the people and firms behind some of the classic car industry's greatest machines, we visited Eagle at its premises in Sussex to ask them about their pursuit of perfection and why the E-type is, in their opinion, the ultimate starting point for what the term 'restomod' simply does not do justice.

It it possible to improve the E-type?
How can you improve on perfection?
I think the e type looks perfect. They do not necessarily drive as perfectly as they look.
These men and their staff are 100% genuine and fastidious in nature, a real rooted company to be involved with. Much love to all at eagle, who together make it what is!!
Probably the most beautiful “new” car on sale today.
I love the work that Eagle does. It is so nice to see craftsman at work and the final product being such an almost perfect example of E-type.

I've been into cars going on 50 years & have become rather jaded where the modern super car does nothing for me. The Eagle E type's, simply magical, I couldn't imagine anything more desirable. All the best guys, you're true gems to the automotive community!
Scott, you've hit that nail precisely on the head! We're about the same age, and my "Option List" is very short. Three pedals, 5 or 6 manual gears, manual or hydraulic power steering. That's the Eagle, simple focused perfection.
And I'm sitting here just shaking my head at its beauty...

These Eagles are LOVELY cars, but I wonder how often they'll ever be driven.
I've got an A35, which I've restored as a 1950s racer: Rorty exhaust, tuned engine, stripped interior etc.
It's my daily driver. Every trip to the supermarket is like a (slow motion) blast down the Mulsanne straight.
Thankyou for keeping older cars alive and for creating exquisite E-Types, but cheaper cars have merit too.
Absolutely stunning work from your team, my father many yrs ago had an e type and I loved it, was gutted when he sold it, I hope one day to own one of theses beautiful cars, continue to produce theses works of art, all the best to you and your team , Mitch ( Fiennes classics ) 👍

That is a beautiful car. It is more than just a car though.
The jaguar e type has always been the most beautiful car ever made, until the eagle e type came along.

The E-type Jaguar is one of the most beautiful body shapes ever produced. Ever.

I’d keep the bumpers and some of the details, rather than going fully smooth a-la first one. Very nice though.

This car is the best of the best but the cost prohibits ownership. Insanely expensive. I've always wanted an E type but things kept me from it. This is the PERFECT E TYPE but again cost prevents it. Not to mention insurance costs and taxes on it yearly.
The paint colour sherwood green is the most beautiful colour for any jag. But if you want it for a f type they tell you no
