Nice work wish mine where half as good. Running my spare wheel off the door and looking at my reverse light bracket I welded up years ago need to put the spare back up to hide it. Looking forward to the rest of this revamp 👍🏼
Really enjoying your build vids mate. She’s coming along real good. Been a few years since I sold my GQ and since I’ve been following your channel you got me now looking for another Patrol to build up. It’ll get a lot of use as I now live up near Omeo. Just hoping this year for plenty of rain and mud. 😁🍺
@@easytiger260 hahaha! I’m sure there’s others that are keen for some driving content too. I try not to be repetitive with the content but that’s currently all I’m doing haha. And the time frame at the moment is ridiculously tight.
Good work. I'm in the process of doing the same type of setup on my GQ. I used square tube 4"x4" for easier fabricating since I'm not great fabricating nor do I have the tools you do!
@@DanielKistler maybe you could check out my build and give me your opinion or ideas. I'm not sure what thickness to use for the main carrier arm. 2"x2"x 1/8" or 3/16"? It's going to be one long carrier for spare 33" or 35" tire and 5 gallon fuel tank www.patrol4x4.com/threads/bumper-and-roof-rack-fabrication.412445/
Lovin the barwork Daniel. Did you buy those tow plates off the shelf or had them made? (Haven't checked prior eps of this build so apologies if its in there somewhere).
If you type in spare wheel stub axle it will come up on eBay with a heap of different ones. Then you need to measure up where your using it and buy one that’s a suitable length
Great looking barwork! It will be interesting to see what latches you put on the reat bar. Thanks for sharing
Will be on next weeks video mate. Cheers
you have brilliant fabricating skills Daniel, awesome bar work
Still just learning haha! Thanks mate
Noticed that plane glider thing is that you’re ejection seat if it all gets to scary going down Hotham 😂
👍👍 nice work!
Hahaha that’s the one. Cheers mate

Cheers mate. Can’t wait to get it all together!

Great content mate!!!! I’m wanting to make my own swing aways on my rear bar and this has helped heaps!!! Keen to see the next video and more!
Thanks mate. There will be some more info in next weeks video! Cheers
Nice work mate, must be pretty motivated to get it finished
Thanks mate! I’m bloody keen to get out and drive it again!
@@DanielKistler I think I'm as keen as you to see your rig out wheeling again 😂

All takes time and practice mate

Thanks for checking it out mate. A local workshop makes them, chickerall
Street exhaust. Can’t buy them online. Cheers
@@DanielKistler they look like a good bit of kit. quite a bit more heavy duty than you can typically whip up at home..
@@lronpaw definitely! Well worth doing it this way!
Mint vid Bud 👌
Thanks mate
Nice video mate.
Do you have drawings/ cad drawings for the rear tow points ?
Thanks mate. Nah I don’t sorry a mate at chickerall street exhaust designs and makes them.
@@DanielKistler no worries mate. I'm guessing it wouldn't be too hard to nut out.
Hey mate. Where does everyone get the hinge kits from?
Hey mate just off eBay!!
@@DanielKistler whats the appropriate name for it. Get all different hinges on there haha 😄
@@1993Revhead try swing away stub axle and see what comes up mate
What size tubing are you using?
32nb mate
What size rhs did ya use and how much of it and where did ya get ya stub and sleeve and what size man 1😁😁
Think it’s like 65mm x 35mm and probably used like 3 metres or something like that, didn’t really measure how much overall. The stub came from eBay
U wouldn't have a link would ya haha

Sorry to keep annoying you but what will thickness hahaha
Any chance you are gonna weigh the front and rear bar? Would be interested to know. Cheers!
It has crossed my mind! Might have to work something out so I can weigh them. I’m also interested! Cheers
Looks mint mate, not gonna do some rear srubbies???
Thanks mate! Nah won’t be doing rear scrubbies. Personally not a fan!
@@DanielKistler Well when you tap that tree on your rear quarter you can think of me 😉😂
Hahahaha! I’ll put your name on it
I don’t reckon you need them on a GQ. The wheels stick out way further than the guards. If you slide into anything and the tyre hits first
@@callumwhite1501 yep definitely. Usually just the rear quarter that cops it haha
Are we able to buy the chassis plates from anywhere Daniel?
Not online mate. I get it all from chickerall street exhaust though.
