Thanks, I never knew where they were, mine were pluged solid. Great information, I also replaced the gasket on the third brake light with one from Detroit MuscleTechnologys. Their gasket is so much better than the factory gasket and cheaper

In early Dec 2023, I was taking a nap in the back seats of my 2018 Ram 1500 Longhorn, when I noticed water stains in the rear sides of my grey headliner. Until I watched this video, I was unaware that there are drain channels to the rear of my sunroof. While these stains are not as dark like in this video, I tried to clean the water stains with New Wave cleaner and a clean microfiber cloth, but the stains are still there. Now I’ll try to get to a local auto body repair shop to see if they can clear the ducts, and perform a water leak check. I ordered this truck factory direct to dealer to my , and because i rarely open the glass top, I was concerned leaks would happen. I was more focused on watching for leaks in the front part of my cab. Now I wish I had not ordered the truck equipped with the roof glass, but I’ll keep it as long as possible because it’s the last year of this particular body style and I love exactly the features I wanted in my 2012 Ram Longhorn !

I'll be giving that a try next warm day. I have water coming out of my rear headliner. I initially thought it was my third break light. Nonsuch luck. The water already ruined a curtain air bag. I'll have to drop the entire headliner to replace. Currently have masking tape around all the potential leaks which is a bummer for my paint but who wants a ruined interior

thats a stupid system, but great you showed everyone thank you.... getting rid of my 2018 ram because this is an on going issue .. ruins your headliner and causes mold i would suspect..

wifes jeep has same thing. dealer fixed it under warranty but wouldn't say what it was. when it got out of warranty i learned this same lesion.

my take is that nobody that designs a fricking car has ever had to work on one. wouldnt it b nice if the body tilted up like big trucks so i could get to some better
That would be the prime situation. Oh they thought about it and thought if we make it as difficult as possible they will bring the cars back for service $$$$$. Slimy assholes lol

I did this just recently after a while of taking water into the cabin of the truck. After blowing out and rodding out this line water still seemed to get in the cabin. I went ahead and put duct tape around the seals of the sunroof. No water since. F a sunroof. They’re bad news
At that point big dog your Sunroof seal is bad.take it to a windshield place and have them remove the sun roof and replace seal. Probably $100. Never put tape or a sticker on the paint of your car. You risk the chance of damaging the paint or clear coat.
I’ve chased around all the common leak problems. Replaced third brake light, cabin exhaust vents, siliconed around brake light, siliconed down either side of roof weather stripping, even siliconed around entire back window and sealed the slider shut, blew out the sunroof drains. Leak keeps coming rear passenger side and headliner is wet in that corner. Dropped headliner today and have it inside with a heater and dehum to dry. Is there any other cause you are aware of? If I wasn’t already bald I’d be pulling my hair out.
It's almost like it's coming from the body and roof seem. Under the black strip on the roof

A lot of times your headliner gets stained because your rear brake light seal is leaking as well
In the process of buying a 2012 1500. Test drove it today and noticed no cover for the sunroof and a dry water stain. Guy played dumb and said someone must have left it tilted. So now I know what happened. Also, it's missing the actual slide/cover for the sunroof. I've never owned a ram. Is there supposed to be one?

You need to sell that truck asap before the valve seats drop, the trans blows up.
