Good to see I'm not crazy for using primarily the post gain side for all my clean/slightly dirty tones. I love the thick tight bass boost you can get with this pedal About 2:15 it says its made so that you can dial in your low end at lower volume gigs, which to me is every gig since at larger gigs you'd be mic'd anyways so creating that nice thick bassy tone at a lower volume is great.
It seems like everything Brian Wampler makes is great. The hard part is choosing on a limited budget, lack of time, and/or limited real estate on your pedal board, versus just buying them all, ha.
Mike Hermans Great demo as always Mike! The original Plexi Drive has always been on my short list of best MIBs. I prefer it to the Plexstortion, Pinnacle, etc. I will definitely be getting me a Plexi Drive Pro.
Jason the regular plexi drive IMO is my least favorite wampler that and the tweed 57. Not sure wat everyone hears in it. I would've preferred this to the original.
I just bought this from Offer Up great deal $160! What’s funny is, I was originally gonna buy the Pinnacle Deluxe. The guy let me demo them side by side since he had it set up, so buyer HAD to hear both. I found the Pinnacle distortion channel was very harsh and too trebly hi frequency emanating, even after dialing it in, was NOT impressed! I tried the Plexi and was pleasantly surprised by the WARMTH of the tone. It sounded great even without dialing it in to my taste. Just my 2 cents. Mike always killing it!💣🎸🤘🏾
Great demo Mike! The ones from NAMM were way too noisy to get a feel for what Brian had added to the plexi-drive. I still dig my plexi-drive; but, I may have to pick one of these up when the time is right! No such thing as too much plexi tone!!! #plexigoodness, #mikehermansdemo, #wamplerpedals, #hashbrownawesome, #com'on, #B'sandG's
Wow Mike. wtf ! The tone from 2:30 to 3:06 with the telecaster was unreal. What other effects were you running through during that stretch ? I think I have to get this pedal.
Hi Mike, I'm new to the pedals, since I always use pedalboard or my AXE-FX II, and I would like to know: How would this pedal sound on a Marshall DSL20CR with a Rola-Celestion G12M25? The DSLCR has only one speaker, but with this pedal, would you get the tone of a 4x12 as you really announce?
What power source do you use in this pedal? I have placed several types of transformers and in all the pedal throws a background noise, in some very annoying and in others lower, I still cannot have an acceptable sound quality.
hey, this is a great pedal, but a better, simpler pedal is the carl martin plexitone single channel, it costs less and has such a sweet tone that does everything
As usual, great playing. I need a full Marshall-in-a-box to get that sustain sound out of my super clean rig - Strat/Deluxe Reverb. Does this have enough gain to do that?
nice to hear demos in a band style format, well done! I know, 9 years late, but i was born in the 50's
dude...I can watch you play for hours. You're so smooth and your licks are crazy sick!
what a demo!! awesome and clever to play alltrough in different styles/sounds
Killer tone and playing !!!
great playing-love the layering of parts and this pedal gives some killer tones
Thanks! It's a killer pedal
This pedal is worth every penny

Man, that SG once again is killer. Also, this pedal is fantastic.
Thanks! Love my SG
This is about as good as it gets...
Thanks! Great overdrive

Bravo! I've always been hot/cold on Wampler Pedals This one seems like a serious home-run.
I'm a Wampler fan, and this is one of my preferred Wampler pedals. Sits really well in the mix

Bloody amazing demo. I've just bought one on the strength of this.
I bought one on video demos and was pretty disappointed with the pedal.
Great pedal and grat demo Mike

I would love that Wampler would make a pedal based on a JMP Superlead from 1972-74
holy grail. search complete.
Too many reasons to go get this pedal ASAP!
It's such a great plexi style pedal. Thanks for watching
Mike Hermans
Love your demos, always top notch. Thank YOU!

Thanks. It sounds even better live. And has a really great feel to it!

no logo on that blonde tele huh? is that a parts caster or just a replaced neck. looks awesome.
It's a warmoth build with lollar pickups
Great demo! I gotta get this pedal! I also have a PR12. What speaker do you have in yours? Thumbs up!
Agreed its better sounding than most Plexi boxes out there but Whoa.. that steep American made $240 price tag is the real issue.
Hello! Just a question. Is the volume boost with the pre-gain channel enough to use it as a solo boost?
So we can buy Wampler pedals direct from Wampler?
Top
Hi mike , you run 9 or 18v?

this or bogner la grange ?
is this true bypass?

Purple plexi by love pedal will have that if this doesn't.
Yeah. My amp was completely clean for this whole demo. Lots of gain on tap. Especially with the pre gain switch
Cool - Id say you were using plenty of gain anyway ( :
0:39 ... please tell me this is an existing song!
Everything played in the video is reminiscent of existing songs. The one you're referring to would be "Hey Joe"
+woodsroamer thanks!👍
