I'm still a nobody... but absolutely love the looks of the Tele on the wall... and love the sound of the Esquire!!! You are so lucky to get to play them... but you do play them REALLY WELL!
Great sounding pedal. Wampler has always treated me fairly. 10 years ago I had Free bass player Andy Fraser, who co-wrote All Right Now on my radio show. Sweet human being who has sadly since passed. Great sounding pedal!
I just bought a Plexi Drive Delixe, largely from so many of the demos legitimately sounding legit. Not disappointed. The Tube screamer circut is also a nice addition and also boosts my other, natural sounding overdrive a Tube Factor really nicely. If you use a mid-scooped amp like a Fender blackface style like I do, definitely get the Deluxe. Once you get the mids right, the rest is easy but it needs that mid knob. Also the tube screamer in the same pedal and the bright switch make it worth the extra space and cost easily.
The Telecaster definitely compliments that pedal. Oh now he said he gonna try the Les Paul with it. I will keep watching for now, I have a short attention span. I like it with the Tele, it's Twanky or the Strat is nice too it's very spanky and warm. Not bad. I'm loving my Marshall modeling amp (Code series), I almost got a traditional type of Marshall amp. Several months later and no regrets on the amp choice. It's really amazing how much a good sounding pedal or amp invigorates you!
Wampler's been adding all kinds of useful toggles in his pedals for a while. Like strat and telly liked mids on the left, while friedman liked it on the right for humbuckers, but orange to the left. In my opinion. And the bass toggle is just practical single coils vs humbucker. I like these pedals that are aimed for universal purpose and have features to accommodate to that as well. A few toggles just make the specifically tuned sound much more universal. Fits modern day use as well when you might just be going around with guitar and pedalboard and play to whichever amp there happens to be.
Brian Wampler did a nice demo of this, compared to a Plexi-type amp. The pedal sounded 'more convincing' than the amp! I'd be very interested to hear this Wampler vs the new Friedman Smallbox, which also sounds pretty fantastic.
those crazy nights I do remember in my youth - made me want to go play Stone in Love (one of my favorite if not my favorite Journey song) - I would have kept singing if you kept playing :-)
My dad always played RnR BUT he had a country band at one time and I asked him,"why do you play music you don't like to listen to?" He said A.) Money B) it added a whole new arsenal to his playing.
Did I just hear "Minor Swing" on the Robert Baker channel???? I'm feeling a bit conflicted! The pedal sounds great. Get a "black face-ish" amp so your demos are comprehensive for guys who have that gear as well. Thanks for all you do.
Wampler makes top-both stuff! Very excited to find one of these on sale at Guitar Center. Sad to say, the next day I returned it. I liked the Fulltone OCD I already had much better. Just my two cents.
Cool pedal, I can't afford any gear right now but it's fun to think about it, Stone in Love oughta' sound great on my new Jazz master...I'm sticking with my first song being Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers... Even the Losers... I've never one anything in my 49 yrs except for a scratch off ticket birthday present around 15 yrs ago where I won on 7 out of 9 monopoly tickets, for a grand total of I think 40 bucks. Ok , Rock on man! We'll talk soon when you announce that I won the Jazzmaster, otherwise I'll never get a high end guitar ever , ever , ever so it's gotta happen! You know what I'm saying, I'm talking about the China Grove...I'm talking All Right Now...I know it's only Rock and Roll, and it may not be a big deal but I really like it is what I'm gettin' at! It's gotta be a no brainer for you...It's Stan in Miami, I'm one of your newest subscribers...I have this dream that I too will play a beautiful Blue Jazzmaster one day soon, and I'm going to polish it after every time I play, I'm going to love it with all of my big rock and roll heart. I'm going to practice more often, and become a better guitar player for having won it, and all will be right with the world! Peace Mr. Robert Baker, I'm gonna do my breathing treatment now 😉
Before watching video: I bet it's gonna be something 80's like a chorus or compressor or something. After: It was definitely NOT that at all. Was pretty cool. You should have played some Frusciante riffs! Totally got that snap.
The deluxe has more eq settings as well as a pregain sort of extra separate tubescreamer style circuit. The mid switch on this is more like a tumnus. Besides the few extra features as far as I know the base pedal is the same. Hope this helps even though I replied pretty late.
See,now this is where I am confused. I need to build a pedal board. I don't know what I need. I think you start at distortion right. Then a little reverb and delay? But what is a compressor? What is overdrive? The more I read the more I get confused. Ugh.
Wow their pedals are pricy. I’m in the market for a new amp and I’m not sure if I should go with a Fender GTX100 or a Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb and pedals. I realize there’s a huge difference in price but I like the power scaling on the Tonemaster
Sounds great. Just love your delay tone. Will you please, please tell what pedal you use and general setting. I just can't get it on either of my delays. Thanks brother...
I noticed in your video when you held your LP up I seen the neck finish was not worn how the heck do you achieve that? My 80 custom looses more and more finish everytime I wipe it down it seems. I only use polishing cloth never abrasive maybe I got sandpaper hands I do industrial maintenance so I guess that could be it.
Warning entering rock zone!
What size pick do you use? Is it medium or heavier that you prefer?
Cool pedal, it sounds best with the KM imo.
@David Price gibson les paul KM. Made in 79.
I'm still a nobody... but absolutely love the looks of the Tele on the wall... and love the sound of the Esquire!!! You are so lucky to get to play them... but you do play them REALLY WELL!
It's stylish, it's wampler, it's so small it is a fashion accessory, and it is a plexi!!! BOOM!
I went to school with Brian. He makes some of the best pedals out there.
I have a Pinnacle on my board at rehearsal.
Crazy how the holy grail of tone is still a 50 year old amp.... Or a hot rodded 50 year old amp!
Great sounding pedal. Wampler has always treated me fairly. 10 years ago I had Free bass player Andy Fraser, who co-wrote All Right Now on my radio show. Sweet human being who has sadly since passed. Great sounding pedal!
lol I had Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons on my show too!
In Mr. Wampler's video I actually preferred the sound of the plexi drive over the plexi style amp. Super great sounding pedal.
Is it just me or the box slaps still get me everytime still
Brian, Josh, and Dave F are three developer/manufacturers that I will always trust.
Love the clarity in this pedal - great playing as always
You know the videos gonna be awesome when it starts with "well well well"
So nice to see my telecaster hanging in the background!! 😊
Ironically it sounds like a Plexi!
haha
I've combed my hair extensively today and have found absolutely ZERO pedals. What am i doing wrong?!?!
Wait you're in Australia so you have to reverse comb it for it to work!
I just bought a Plexi Drive Delixe, largely from so many of the demos legitimately sounding legit. Not disappointed. The Tube screamer circut is also a nice addition and also boosts my other, natural sounding overdrive a Tube Factor really nicely.

Amazing intro! So many twists and turns I didn't know what was going to happen next lol
The Telecaster definitely compliments that pedal. Oh now he said he gonna try the Les Paul with it. I will keep watching for now, I have a short attention span. Honestly, I wouldn't want to be known for being the best anything of 2020
Yeah, it’s kinda like winning the bikini contest at the nursing home...
Yeah they are going to be using 2020 for like Yeah man you really 2020'd that buddy Ha Ha Ha U get the drift 😂
Sweet pedal! Wampler makes killer pedals!
I ordered it from Wampler a couple of days ago now I’m just waiting to rock!
Awesome sound with the Gibson!!
Greetings from Spain! 🤘
Nice Esquire!! My favorite Fender!!!

That is a amazing Plexi Pedal. I bought it and I love it.
Absolutely ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Tele
I love that such a small pedal can do so well! Why would anyone NOT want that?
That shipped in the most amazing rubix cube I've ever seen
Funny! You're a nut. Thanks for the great demo! Keep them coming. Really enjoyed the classic rock sound. Still waiting on the 80's lesson series.
I'm in love with telecaster sound.
I had one, just not a mini. Great pedal, but IMHO the Bonner LaGrange is the best plexi style pedal there is! It even has a variac switch!
That plexi tone is amazing
Brian Wampler did a nice demo of this, compared to a Plexi-type amp. The pedal sounded 'more convincing' than the amp! I'd be very interested to hear this Wampler vs the new Friedman Smallbox, which also sounds pretty fantastic.
And I'm just a nobody but that Esquire is absolutely AMAZING!!!
Whoa, music and magic tricks... mind blown 🤯👍😎
those crazy nights I do remember in my youth - made me want to go play Stone in Love (one of my favorite if not my favorite Journey song) - I would have kept singing if you kept playing :-)
Yeah I love that last thing you were playing
It’s awesome you play some country stuff, some of us dig that
The Les Paul and Orange amp. That's my combo. I love it!
Looks like a great pedal. Wish I could find them local vs online. Don’t man paying for quality, but not w/o trying first.
Heyyy this guy makes unboxigs and useful deep reviews with a grunge attitude . That's cool Robert Baker.
Thanks.
Very nice tones coming from that new pedal. I might have to get one of those
Hello Robert !! Greetings from Greece!

Dude your intros for on boxings always make me laugh so hard!
I like the MP-1 just casually sitting ther
Sounds great with the strat
My dad always played RnR BUT he had a country band at one time and I asked him,"why do you play music you don't like to listen to?" He said A.) Money B) it added a whole new arsenal to his playing.
Less distortion? Less.........distortion? What are these words? Do not say these things out loud! Love your show, thank you.
Instant AC/DC with that pedal I might get it even though I don't need another pedal
Holy s*it, this pedal looks cool
Killer playing as usual. And sweet ass sounding pedal. I'm getting one..
I don't care about the content anymore, I'm liking every video just for the "well well well"
Metal & Magic?!! wow. Just wow.
Why did you slap that box with so much anger? 😎
Great video Robert
Did I just hear "Minor Swing" on the Robert Baker channel???? I'm feeling a bit conflicted! The pedal sounds great. Get a "black face-ish" amp so your demos are comprehensive for guys who have that gear as well. Thanks for all you do.
It almost sounds like a compressor in front of a drive especially that sparkle
I wonder if it's like the real Plexi where no two sound the same. Doubt it but that'd be cool if someone did that.
That's a sweet sounding pedal👍🎸🤘
Oh man, sounds great in combo with the Les Paul 👍🤘
That thing sounds great!
Wampler makes top-both stuff! Very excited to find one of these on sale at Guitar Center. Sad to say, the next day I returned it. I liked the Fulltone OCD I already had much better. Just my two cents.
Hello from Argentina you rock man
You got me there bro. *pulls from the hair* clever. hahaha

Me too man. Just practice every day and you’ll get it soon. 🤘🏼🎸
Before watching video: I bet it's gonna be something 80's like a chorus or compressor or something.
After: It was definitely NOT that at all. Was pretty cool. You should have played some Frusciante riffs! Totally got that snap.
Robert: opens empty box
Me: :/
Robert: somehow pulls pedal from his hair
Me: :0
"He has the box."
Waouwww , a real magician !!!
Intro made me laugh a lot 😂
I got a bloody Mary recently, and I got gifted a while back a Cry Baby wah pedal. 100% need an upgrade xD
That pedal sounds great, and awesome review for sure! Is there a difference between the regular full size plexi drive vs. this mini? I'm just curios!
The deluxe has more eq settings as well as a pregain sort of extra separate tubescreamer style circuit. The mid switch on this is more like a tumnus. Besides the few extra features as far as I know the base pedal is the same. Hope this helps even though I replied pretty late.
The radial tonebone plexi tube is amazing you should try it.
Classic pedal in the hair trick
Would this pedal sound different from a DSL40?
It's also an accessory!
The Les Paul sounds great on it.
Yeah the pedal does great kind of running the ranks.
Best unboxing techniques online...
I can only imagine that turning the gain up on the Friedman would’ve sounded way better
the fucking china grove part cracked me tf up
Hi, just wondering if there is any appreciable difference between the mini and the full size pedal. Thanks
See,now this is where I am confused. I need to build a pedal board. I don't know what I need. I think you start at distortion right. Then a little reverb and delay? But what is a compressor? What is overdrive? The more I read the more I get confused. Ugh.

They are made in America I believe. So you are supporting American families by buying their pedals.
Sounds great. Just love your delay tone. Will you please, please tell what pedal you use and general setting. I just can't get it on either of my delays. Thanks brother...
The delay is a source audio collider pedal
I noticed in your video when you held your LP up I seen the neck finish was not worn how the heck do you achieve that? My 80 custom looses more and more finish everytime I wipe it down it seems. I only use polishing cloth never abrasive maybe I got sandpaper hands I do industrial maintenance so I guess that could be it.
Idk why but I learned the Beverly Hills Cop theme on guitar while watching this video
I really like the pedal but I am bald. I am wondering if the circuitry will work the same for me.
