So of course Mortarion brought the blessings of Nurgle to that planet and destroyed the Hive City.
In the RPGs it is described that the average worker in an average hive world also has days off, e.g. on public holidays, and can also visit gardens if he has the money for it and yes, workers are also paid. I think worlds like Ultramar simply offer more "luxury" than other hive worlds. And then there are worlds like Solomon or Fenk's World, where everything but dying is a luxury.
I can just imagine what the landscape will look like outside my window in 40k years. I would probably see nothing but endless artificial structures, where even the very ground beneath me has been replaced by more artificial structures going down kilometers. From what I understand all of America from New York down to Miami and over as far as las Vegas is one giant hive city now. That would put me right in the middle somewhere with the tallest structures going into space above my head. There's an entire death star worth of structure above me basically. Thats pretty wild to think about honestly.

Makes me wonder, since there's no bureaucratic red tapes to technology and conservatism/taboos of the mechanicus in hive worlds, wouldn't they be free with their research into new tech?
Even if you conducted research in the underhive, nothing stays quiet forever. Someones gonna find out, somewhere on the grapevine. Maybe someone notices a lot of high end research materials going down there. Or a rumor gets out because someone keeps hearing weird things from a certain spot. And that's assuming you don't need to worry about your own survival or security. Simply put I don't think you could set up a big lab down in the underhive without someone telling someone else. Space is cramped down there so any large new structure will attract attention. Then the Arbites, Inquisition or the Admech themselves start to investigate. Maybeee you could get away with it if you're far from Terra, on the other side of the Great Rift since atm anyone with the capability to investigate your tech heresy is occupied with the influx of chaos. And anyone on the other side of the Great Rift is basically cut off. So only local authorities would be your worry and not a huge fleet coming for you unless its already close And even if everything worked well and you make some breakthrough research...what do you do with it? You can't sell it through official Imperium channels unless you want to get arrested. You could sell it to gangers but that's probably not a big profit.
My thought may be redundant, seeing as some massive voidships are effectively mobile hives that ply the space ways, but I wonder if a similar video could cover spacers, the voidborn, people who grow up bathed in the emissions of some component of home, near parts they don't know what they do, breathing air recycled countless times, and never even setting foot on the land of a real planet? It might seem like just another hive, but for the myriad threats a voidship might face, like a warp storm, being becalmed, or being shanghied to joina crew.

The are still great, but the frequency of ads makes these frustrating to listen to. If you put in unskippable ads less frequently that would be more appropriate.
Since there is little contact between worlds there is no chance of one government to control all humans or even two worlds. Each world would be its own government having little to nothing to do with any other worlds government.
If you would be willing to release some information on the creation of custom AI voices, (not identical or even similar to your own, but merely an outline of the general process) I am sure that it would be universally appreciated.
