A24 definitely cleaned up that night and also it was a win for Asians as well like two wins for India For Best Documentary short film and Original Song and yeah all the acting win even came from the SAGS the lead actor, actress and supporting actress like SAGS did it BAFTA who 🤭🤭😏
Dude! I was soooo happy everything everywhere all at once won big! I was also rooting for Brendan Fraser! Everything I wanted to happen at the Oscars happened! Anyways, wow this dude really liked Babylon. Look, I never seen Babylon, and I have 0 interest in it. Look it has a low critic AND audience score on rotten tomatoes. That’s why the Academy didn’t vote for it. All quiet on the western front is on my watchlist though. I read the book in high school and it was great. It also has a high ranking on rotten tomatoes by both critics & audience.
Not happy with Jamie Lee Curtis over Hsu or Bassett, but otherwise this was a decent show. Needed more diverse nominations, but for what was nominated, the winners were mostly what I had hoped for
The crime was committed, the Academy let the night end with no awards for 'Babylon', not even for the fantastic soundtrack that had me dancing in the cinema. Apart from this monstrosity, we had no big surprises. I think there was an evolution in the quality of the ceremony compared to last year. Jimmy Kimmel with more interesting and funnier jokes than Oscar standard (which isn't too difficult, let's face it). The speech time, very well timed by the organization, did not allow any artist to abuse the microphone time, which made the ceremony much more dynamic than in previous years. Despite having enjoyed the ceremony as a whole, I was left with a bitter taste at the end of the awards. After all, films that so well represent what the passion for cinema is like 'Babilônia' and 'Os Fabelmans' left without receiving any recognition. Others that were responsible for bringing most of the audience to the movie theaters like 'Top Gun: Maverick', 'Avatar: The Path of Water' and 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever After' came out with just one award each like that of consolation. With the exaggeration in the number of awards for 'Everything in Everywhere at the Same Time' and 'Nothing New on the Front', the impression that was left was that the Academy is desperate to conquer an audience that prefers to stay at home consuming content in streaming or on social networks and gave up valuing people passionate about the seventh art who never stopped going to movie theaters
don't know if it helps but I was just as annoyed Banshees didn't win anything or the fact The Menu wasn't nominated my best film of 2022, mind you im happy Brendan Fraser won his performance really was the best, if All Quiet would of won best picture than would of been the biggest upset since No Country For Old Men beating There Will Be Blood or Crash beating Brokeback Mountain
Just about any other year & Banshees Tar Avatar Top Gun would have won best picture. The Menu, Babylon, Fableman would have gotten nominations & at least 2-3 wins. The Menu should be nominated for screenplay, lead actor, supporting actress. I liked the presentation but not sure if it was enough to win cinematography.
Hollywood fully embracing this weird, creative, beautiful little movie feels like the start of something big.
I hope but I could see this as a one time thing

SAG was 4/4 this year, showing it was a better predictor than BAFTA.
Although Justin Hurwitz has two Oscars already.
I hope Elvis not winning anything is consolation for Babylon not winning lol
I don't think there's any need to disrespect All Quiet the way you did 🤨
yes there was. fuck that movie
I know right, I mean you can have your favorite but no need to make the winner your enemy like that . Tsk, tsk tsk 😐
lighten up a bit oh my god he's clearly kidding
@@nalday2534 so mean D:
Belfast was great
God, I still had hope that Top Gun Maverick was going to pull it off!
Still made my top 10 with Banshees unlike EEAAO.
Hard day as an Elvis fan 😔
Babylon best score in a decade? Guy, sounded like a draft from La La Land, and how do you want to win if you have more than 12+ songs in the score with the same melody? Please
The only good thing is maybe now I can get Tar, Banshees, & Babylon for $5 a lot faster.
A24 definitely cleaned up that night and also it was a win for Asians as well like two wins for India For Best Documentary short film and Original Song and yeah all the acting win even came from the SAGS the lead actor, actress and supporting actress like SAGS did it BAFTA who 🤭🤭😏
lol you are so funny. I love your reactions. Enjoy the swearing.
Thank god. Shouldve been steph hsu but otherwise perfect
YAY Was so happy shame about Babylon LOL
I was surprised Elvis didn’t get anything
🗣️YOOO🗣️
Not happy with Jamie Lee Curtis over Hsu or Bassett, but otherwise this was a decent show. Needed more diverse nominations, but for what was nominated, the winners were mostly what I had hoped for
Or over Condon
❤❤❤
Babylon was robbed for real
JUSTICE FOR BABLYON!! 🎬🎬🎬🎬
don't know if it helps but I was just as annoyed Banshees didn't win anything or the fact The Menu wasn't nominated my best film of 2022, mind you im happy Brendan Fraser won his performance really was the best, if All Quiet would of won best picture than would of been the biggest upset since No Country For Old Men beating There Will Be Blood or Crash beating Brokeback Mountain
Babylon loses to a Score that plagiarizes Futurama (obvs JK)
