I have to say that over the years he has been worth his weight in gold, but like anyone else who is very good at his job, he's in high demand, and we made the mistake of giving a "simple" job to someone else, and we paid dearly 😂
Thank you. My L494 has had suspension fault for ages and the air was up and down like a see saw , I removed compressor (amk) took it apart and found white crusty stuff around the seals. I washed all components and dried with hair dryer. It works like new . COST . zero. Result all best Terry.
How do you open the black case that the pump resides in. In the 2018 velar, it seems to be all sealed up and ,y local mechanic says they are not meant to be serviced. Just wondering if anyone has opened one.
@@BarrieCrampton Hi I’m looking at a video you made but it’s missing some info.. about the compressor. Is it an AMK? Is this what causes it to be loud?
My L322 had an issue where it wouldn’t vent the air. So it wouldn’t lower the suspension because of this exact thing. The truck had sat a long time and when I got it the compressor dryer had collected moisture and the dessicant had all come apart and seized the exhaust for the air system. Had to take it apart and redo all this like in the video to fix it.
My 2018 Discovery started to mess about and couldn't find the fault with plugging it in. Watched this video and decided to pull the compressor out which I ended up having to drill out the pop rivets on the case and changing the outlet assembly which had a hairline crack in it that was letting the air pressure drop just enough for the system to stop working. £40 for the part from Landrover.
Auto Electricians like yours are so valuable.

Drill the pops out with a 3/16 drill bit.
Well done Barrie, thanks for the heads up 👍
No problem 👍

Very useful, thanks 🎉
Glad it was helpful!
I have a 2009 L320 RRS HSE the compressor works fine,no leak.. but it’s loud.. can I just replace the brass filter from a L322?
Good advice.
if that is the problem and its not a level sensor or something else, then it saves a few quid for sure
great video, thankyou. i just bought a 2011 RR Vogue and hope i dont need to do this but good to know if i ever get issues.
