Good video to show how to do this! I kept the truck intake on my swap because I didn’t want to buy another water pump, fuel rails all the stuff that comes along with that but you did it on a budget for sure
I'm going for the sleeper vibe, so I really had no choice. Zero chance it would have fit without it. Still sucks to put $500 into a $350 engine for 0 horsepower 🤣
Dude! Awesome info thanks! I’m new to major auto projects and me and my son are putting a 2000 truck 5.3 in a 2001 Camaro and this video is gonna help tremendously! Do you have a link for the exact intake and it looks like the throttle Body you linked is not available anymore.
@@GEARHEADdezign thanks man! I’ll have to find one. The Camaro was originally a v6 car. People want a mint for intakes! I was reading there is an aftermarket dorman intake but I can’t find it.
The dorman LS2 intake used to be a couple hundred but then people realized it made basically the same power as the FAST 92 and they jacked the price up amzn.to/3UcEQ3J
I don't at all care for the injector setup. I've chased injector vacuum leaks with better setups. The truck accessories tho, pretty slick. Almost looks like a long version Corvette layout. Lol
You are keeping the budget small - I like that approach.
I was shooting for $5k total, including car. But with the T56 instead of cheap 5spd it's closer to 8. But still a lot of bang for the buck

@@GEARHEADdezign The sleeper look is worth the 500 hahaha
Do you have a link for the injector o-rings? Would they work for an LS1 manifold?
@@jayscheick7408 I bought them for the donor truck: 2000 Silverado 4.8. But you could just reference that part number vs 2000 Camaro 5.7
@Jay Scheick looks like upper is same, lower is different. But I was using an upper in the lower anyway, so it would be worth a shot
Sweeeeeet! Sounds amazing and looks great! Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel lol
There's still a lot of light showing through the tunnel...and firewall... and floor...🤣
@@GEARHEADdezign that's just the natural "underglow" lol
@@donlapierre8145 I just bought some underglow LEDs actually. Because 90s.🤷
This project is awesome and coming along great! I can't wait to see it painted.
Not sure when I'm gonna do the 2tone. I got enough other stuff to work on right now🤣
Oh I bet. 😂
Just a fly on the wall here. 😂👍

Intake is ls2 you'll have to find the used..or if you still have your ls1 intake from the Camaro use that
Here's a new link for throttle body, but it will only work with 4 bolt manifold amzn.to/3NzsBKW

@@GEARHEADdezign holy crap! I’ll find the used ls2 lol. Thanks for all the awesome information man!
Great video! Wondering if this would fit in my s14. What intake did you use?
LS2. I also pondered the cheap Chinese speedmaster
@GEARHEAD dezign I've been tempted by the cheapo speed master intakes as well. Someone's gonna have to bite the bullet lol
Did you paint the fuel rails Blue?
Yeah that's 94 Beretta aqua metallic
@@GEARHEADdezign nice... how the truck injectors holding up?
@@WouldYouLookAtThis still working perfect. I've got over 3,000 miles on it
Where you finding the ls2 intake for $175?
Got it on eBay. Had a bad port job done to it. I don't think my 4.8 will care though🤣

So far it's been fine. I don't have a lot of miles on it, so I don't know longevity yet
