"I hope I have found you well," would be most likely used in the Victorian or Edwardian periods, as a slightly more formal greeting to someone you know very well or have been close with for a while.
Indrid reminds me of a Duke of some sort in his style and language. I definitely could get behind the Victorian/Edwardian periods. Thanks for watching 🙏!
The Smiling Man is a nemesis of The Mothman. And alongside The False Mothman, is just another visual avatar of The Interloper. The interloper can be found being worshipped by a separate sect of Mothman Cultists in Lucky Hole Mine, corpses by it's body, them having drank it's Black Blood. Oh and also, sometimes when killing False Mothman Cultists, they don't count as humans.
I didn’t know he was the nemesis. It’d be interesting to see if both Indrid and the Mothman crossed paths in future releases 🙏 thanks for sharing and watching BritishViking
I would like some expansion on his character as well. As much as we’re fond of a good tease.. it would be great to know how long he’s been around and how he connects to the mothmen in general. Thanks for watching 🙏!
My thoughts on the origin of the smiling man… He’s Fred Bagge from courage the cowardly dog having been cured of his obsession and achieved immortality. Actually there’s an idea for a mod, Fallout: Nowhere.
I know someone we can ask! We just gotta head about 470 miles north... I think there's a certain asylum in Boston who might be able to tell us if the smiling man has any pre-war history...
I think he’s a reference to the Grinning Man. A strange being said appear out of nowhere, nobody knows who or what he is or what he wants but there are people who claim to see this creepy figure sometimes stare through their windows or watching them from afar
In real life lore, the Smiling Man, Indrid Cold, is either the herald of the Mothman or an alter-ego of him. I'm not sure how they'll play it in Fallout but it could still be fun. Oh, and the faceless man at the end is a real person. His story is a tragic one.
The rabbit hole goes deep! I’d love to see a side quest of Indrid and the Mothmen Cult of some sort. Thanks for watching 🙏! Also, I’m glad you caught onto the faceless man at the end. His wiki was intriguing to say the least..

I absolutely LOVE that you mentioned The Adventure Zone: Amnesty in this video. It's such a fun correlation, especially since the game references their content in other places. And I definitely recommend not using AI-generated imagery in the thumbnails, this content is good and all AI will do is make some people ignore it.
@@EvieProbably Appreciate you watching and enjoying the content. Very cool you already knew about The Adventure Zone reference, it’s such a hidden gem! Thank you for the feedback 🙏 we love learning from it and growing with community, and we look forward to using the feedback on future vids (: Edit: Thanks for the positive feedback, we changed the thumbnail!
The smiling man outfit is obtainable it comes with a flaming pumpkin head kinda like headless horseman, the outfit also existed before smiling man was added but its atomic shop only.
I don’t know what’s cooler.. the fact that it has a flaming pumpkin head, or the fact that they added the outfit before Indrid Cold himself was added to the game. Fallout continues to impress me with its foreshadowing. Thanks for dropping some knowledge on us, and for watching 🙏
It’s part of FO76’s live action trailer (: great trailer in our opinions, but some of the community wasn’t too fond of the “randomness” of it at the time and it never got the attention it deserved. Thanks for watching!
Personally I hate that fallouts lore is shifting from a sci Fi heavy mostly believable setting with one or two oddities to mostly being Eldridge horror and love craftian stuff. I don't like either of those things at all.
Bethesda is diving their audience with the cryptid heavy seasons. I personally would like them to keep it minimal in Fallout 5 (whenever that comes out), but I don’t mind the cryptid train in 76 since it seems like they’re already so deep in it. I’ll always vouch for my Zetans though 👽,🙏 thanks for watching!
I'll be real, I really love y'all's content, but I actively scrolled past and decided not to watch your video when I saw the AI thumbnail. After my immediate reaction was over and I read the title and author I clicked anyway, obviously. A screenshot, however doctored, would much better represent the content of the video. Great video, regardless! Content wise y'all got it, no doubt about it.

I hope they expand the Smiling Man's lore. I want to actually learn more not just be teased with a solvable fictional mystery.

Now this peaked my interest! Ima sub, I love hearing about fallouts urban legends and supernatural stuff like this
The courage the cowardly dog shout 🎉

The smiling man will attack and will pick up weapons from other dead npcs witnessed and had to record it.

Where is the clip at 0:14 of the deathclaw walking up to the campfire and burning it's foot from? Awesome video!
