I think the Mingos were supposed to be aliens in the original games. They don’t seem to share any visual elements with any other fev experiments, which look much more organic. The only thing you could compare them to are deathclaws, which have much more in-depth explanation for their existence. I have a hard time believing the original devs would implement two equivalent creatures. (both bio weapons). And explain one much more comprehensively than the other, and not make any direct comparison or relation between them in the game. I think they must be thematically different. Outside of lore, and including the context of the time, its pretty clear that wanamingos are a reference to xenomorphs, and its possible that the reason for their inclusion starts and stops there. That would be underwhelming as an explanation but, ‘par for the course’ for fallout 2.
Yep I completely agree. They don’t seem like any type of creature on earth mutated by FEV. I think they were intended to be aliens from the get go. A cool theory would be they were aliens being experimented on before the bombs fell and were then mutated by FEV. Could tie up some loose ends.
1:36 no idea if this is coincidental or intentional but taking a shot in the dark that I don’t sound like a weirdo… ayy nice little throw back music reference in there, gave me warped tour flashbacks 😂😂
Sally is from 2077. Also, there's The Visitor found in The Deep in 76 who is (or at least WAS) in opposition to The Interloper, and The Emissary random encounter during the Invaders from Beyond seasonal event who can lead you to where Homer is allegedly hiding at Black Mountain Ordinance. And then of course whatever Homer's actual deal is.
I think the alien tech is mostly in power: We know mass fusion was actually operating fission plants, as the Beryllium Agitator had only JUST been finished and not yet implemented when the bombs fell, per FO4. But we have fusion cores, energy cells, micro fusion cells, and more. So Giddy up Buttercup, as a self-contained automated toy, released in large numbers attracted the Zetans' attention. There may be other applications, as suggested in the vid, but that's where I'd put my money..
8:30 Biogel is classified as alien technology in the Fallout 2d20 roleplaying game, which is considered canon. The gel appears as a consumable item in the adventure Showdown in Skull Canyon, and it is listed in the section 'Alien Consumables.' It's found on Zetan corpses throughout the adventure.
Yeah, I personally got bored of adding Fallout music to the background of my vids. Now I use all kinds of stuff. Insane you noticed the dead space though. 👍
Except that they meant as a joke in Fallout 2. The UFO is an easter egg that literally reads :" Property of Area 51, Return if Found". Its NOT supposed to be serious or as part of the damn lore. And Bethesda screwed that up.
Something that immediately struck me the 1st time i saw Zetans in FO, their eyes look very much like a certain race of humans...chew on that for awhile 😂
I think you dont like it because its based off 60’s toys and props. And that 60’s vibe is what alot of people dont like about the newer weapons in Bethesda games. just my guess.
I enjoy your videos. I shared this one on my Twitter, I hardly get likes lol, but I like to share cool stuff anyway
Well the video only is an hour old..
Haha I know what you mean, mine too. Thanks for sharing anyway.
What's your X handle, i'll follow ya and like you stuff, simply because we both watch FO vids😊
There's also an alien corpse in one of the rooms of the S.A.D. in F2. Everyone who blames Bethesda for canonising them seems to forget this

Coincidental, but we can all appreciate early 2000s rock memories 😂
Cannibal perk on Alien.
Can you eat the aliens with Gastly scavenger?
Yeah I saw you can eat them. Don’t really know what it means but it’s cool 😂
Words without context

It would def be an experience if they are the main antagonists in 5.

Interesting idea of adding Dead Space music to a fallout video...
Yeah, I personally got bored of adding Fallout music to the background of my vids. Now I use all kinds of stuff. Insane you noticed the dead space though. 👍

Fallout 4 has an Alien Toy, which is presumably produced by Wilson Atomatoys... coincidence?
Coincidence? We think not 🤔
Awesome Those Aliens have been here from the very beginning!
Yeah, it’s pretty cool.

They were meant as jokes and easter eggs in Fallout 1 and 2 and Bethesda missed the damn point with them.

EEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW what the FUCK is that design in fallout 76?!? How is the alien blaster so ugly in fallout 76?
It's the same as the one in Fallout 4?
