Absolutely 💯 incredible show the model truck is realy outstanding truck model beautiful wagon excellent destination to the video too magnificent work 👏 😀 👍 👌
My father used to love making these types of trucks, he recently passed away and I have been left with around 4 or 5 of the 1/14 trucks either half done or not at all, as well as another 40 or so models at 1/24 & 1/25. I will attempt to finish them at some point in the future and so your videos are already proving immensely valuable, thanks for uploading your methods/process and hopefully I can do the trucks justice and have them finished and looking really impressive.. fingers crossed..
I bought the Grand Hauler and have been following all your tips and guidance in building,, painting and many more. My challenge will be the painting. I have been saving your detail videos to review it later on as I complete my build.
I am thinking about buying a kit from your site. I have wanted one for many years and those kits are the best I have seen. I just have to argue with myself to justify the cost but I'd buy the bundle kit. I love those trucks. and it's something you can upgrade and totally trick out. Thanks for the videos.
Excellent video. On the bumper nuts that one fell out, you could put a drop of glue on them to keep them from falling out. This trick saved my butt on the Globetrotter several times. Lol.
This is the most detailed video you are gonna find if your new to this hobby, I feel like if you dont get to see this and you just build one of your own you'll just end up taking it apart constantly.
You need glue on the front tires especially if you have a softer rubber compound. If not glued, it WILL roll off the rim. Good Job with the bearings, it's well worth the extra $$ to use them... Nice Job Sir!
I'm no beginner... But THANKS for showing a way to use these on 2.4GHz!! Buying a separate $200 *75MHz* Radio JUST to run the one Rig, is impractical. I suppose this could also work with my Futaba 3ch Radio... Channel 3 is a 3 position switch, with Expo, End Point and D/R adjustments. Someday I'm going to own one. Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Have you thought about painting the dash area a light wood color since in the real trucks they were most likely a woodgrain. That way you can peel and stick the stickers and they will not have that while background.
Great video, keep up the good work. I just subscribed. Have you thought of doing a beginner series on getting started in the hobby of building like tools and supplies needed?
Hello Bob, this is Jerry Ebner and I am going to buy a king hauler black edition probably in January or February , I it will be my very first build and I was wondering if I should use the stock motor or buy a different motor ?
Loved the video both parts. I have just finished the M A N 6wheeler I know you said it was a beginner build but if you want the electric pack on it after the build it's a pain in the arse to fit. the best wat is to fit it as you build it ??
I as well don't operate the switches. Most of mine, he wires are twisted & soldered together, then I heat shrink on top. I just eliminate the switch. I do this because I've had several that have malfunctioned & wouldn't operate. After a lot of trouble shooting, I found a faulty switch.
I have a Tamiya Scania R620, and I am having a bad time getting the tires to go onto the wheel hubs, so that they don't wobble around And tips and advice please?
I have learned quite a bit from you your videos are to the point and easily understood I have a question. Do you clear coat over decals or stickers such as the ones included with the truck you are working on in this video?
You know I have been shying away from the double sided tape lately. I find myself searching every drawer at my work station, for small L-brackets and micro servo mounts. Just to mount something as simple as that on-off switch. That darn double sided tape just bugs the hell out of me.
I use the micro crystal clear to glue on the stacks. It holds great and you can still get them off if you ever need to. I have a couple of the different GT Power systems and hope to do a video with some of them soon. I agree they are an excellent way to go for a good value.
I really would love to build one of these and a Globeliner, but....being disabled and on a really limited income, I don't think it will ever happen....
Hey bob I have been watching your videos for a week now and I like the work you do keep up the great work buddy nice work I love rcing but all I could ever afford is Walmart rc I have been saving up to get a real rc I love to build stuff it’s amazing what you can do all my life since I was 5 years old was building models I recently started experience custom build models but I was wondering if all electronics come with the king howler and how much
I watched part 1 on the candy apple red dump truck u made out of this truck ur doing now u put Pete stickers on it how much for a dump truck u do awesome atam

They are called micro brush. Hi, I am looking for some advice in a build I would like to plan of my 1999 Peterbilt 379. I have been looking on line to try to find some help. I was watching your video and noticed that the differentials are plastic was wondering do you know if any companies make metal parts to upgrade the rear suspension to air bags, metal differentials and other replacement parts. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks, Laurence Mark
LESU makes super nice metal parts. I will say the Tamiya parts are top quality and hold up just fine. Upgrades are not needed unless you like like look etec.
Ugh… Today I was hauling my Tamiya #56020 Leopard 2A7+ ( started its life as a 2A6 but has since been converted: imgur.com/a/GzLRqvl ) like 800m to _and_ back from the local park with the carrier, tank and remote weighting in at a combined 12kg wishing for Tamiya to had chosen their Trucks to be 1/16 instead of 1/14 thus allowing for a matcing scale transport method to be used. Should I ever manage to get my E-100 ( imgur.com/a/a0fBDzZ ) done then the next project will immediately be a 1/16 SLT2 Mammuth Tank transporter...
Here is a video about the remotes: ua-cam.com/video/UyfDsQWaJRo/v-deo.html I also sell them already modified on eBay. The battery is nothing special - use any 7.2 or 7.4 pack.
Absolutely 💯 incredible show the model truck is realy outstanding truck model beautiful wagon excellent destination to the video too magnificent work 👏 😀 👍 👌
Awesome , I’m gonna get a tamiya king hauler for Christmas and this is really helpful to get an idea of what I’m getting stuck into. Mint video 👍
Fantastic video and yes the sleeper cab sticker is upside down...Mike

Thank You! Best secrets I can tell you about painting is
1. Use Tamiya Paint.
2. Take lots of time!!
Hello
Can I ask? Can I have a king Hauler
I am thinking about buying a kit from your site. I have wanted one for many years and those kits are the best I have seen. I just have to argue with myself to justify the cost but I'd buy the bundle kit. I love those trucks. and it's something you can upgrade and totally trick out. Thanks for the videos.

Fantastic!! We’re going
To start ours soon. Very impressive step by step!👍👍
Building this truck now. Thanks for the tips👍🏻🇨🇦
Recently subscribed to your channel Bob some great tips and tricks, thank you you're an inspiration 😀
Love your videos🙌🎉..nice beginners built tutorial 😀🎄
thanks for the 2 videos on the truck just got one from my local shop gonna build this weekend
Love it Beautiful rig for sure
beautiful build.
That is amazing...
Man beautiful build.
Love it!❤️
I would love to have one of these built there's so many parts to assemble
Looks like the sticker on the back of the sleeper is upside down
Dang you are right! Fail on that .
I thought that also. Then realized it may be the design.
Yeah, it is
I think Im going to find a ESC and electronics that will fit inside the chrome fuel tanks. Great Video btw. You're inspiring me and giving me ideas.
Very nice truck
WOOHOO FROM TEXAS.
Just awesome
Beautiful truck Congratulations~
I'm no beginner... But THANKS for showing a way to use these on 2.4GHz!! Buying a separate $200 *75MHz* Radio JUST to run the one Rig, is impractical.

Cool
Keep up the great work buddy
Nice brother
I'm being picky but the back of the sleeper sticker looks upside down. Great video though, building a Tamiya kit is on my bucket list.
It was (I fixed it afterwards)
Have you thought about painting the dash area a light wood color since in the real trucks they were most likely a woodgrain. That way you can peel and stick the stickers and they will not have that while background.
That is what I usually do but on this truck I wanted to get it done in one day which pretty much made impossible to do any painting.
I would generally recommend a 45 turn motor. Great for all around use.
Loved the video both parts. I have just finished the M A N 6wheeler I know you said it was a beginner build but if you want the electric pack on it after the build it's a pain in the arse to fit. the best wat is to fit it as you build it ??
Painting the dash and seats a tan color makes the decals pop, and it looks darker when seen through the windscreen...
oOrmally I do paint them but wanted to get this done in one day so that is why no painting on this one.
Again, another nice enjoyable build. Question you did not replace the stock motor with 45T motors you always use?
Nope, built this one right from the kit (except for the bearings).
Does a T45 motor run slower than the one supplied with the kit?
I think that the standard motor is very fast, and would like to have a slower one.
NICE !!! :)
can you use king hauler fenders and mud flaps on a grand hauler ?
Yes, and they come with the kit.
I as well don't operate the switches. Most of mine, he wires are twisted & soldered together, then I heat shrink on top. I just eliminate the switch. I do this because I've had several that have malfunctioned & wouldn't operate. After a lot of trouble shooting, I found a faulty switch.
I have a Tamiya Scania R620, and I am having a bad time getting the tires to go onto the wheel hubs, so that they don't wobble around
And tips and advice please?
Make sure you put the tires on the rear wheels before you bolt them together. Other that that just keep working them around the wheel til you like it.
I have learned quite a bit from you your videos are to the point and easily understood I have a question. Do you clear coat over decals or stickers such as the ones included with the truck you are working on in this video?
Thanks for the comments. I do not clearcoat over the stickers.
Very nice Sir, How much do they run? both built and unbuilt? Did over the road hauling for about 10 yrs.
What upgradde the wheels so that you that you can take wheels withhout take it taking apart??
You know I have been shying away from the double sided tape lately. I find myself searching every drawer at my work station, for small L-brackets and micro servo mounts. Just to mount something as simple as that on-off switch. That darn double sided tape just bugs the hell out of me.
How did you keep the stacks in place? GT Power makes a inexpensive sound kit that is easier than the Tamiya MFU
I use the micro crystal clear to glue on the stacks. It holds great and you can still get them off if you ever need to. I have a couple of the different GT Power systems and hope to do a video with some of them soon. I agree they are an excellent way to go for a good value.
how often do you put stickers on upside down like the back of the sleeper ?
John - Good catch, I totally missed that!!!
I noticed that too. Otherwise pretty darn cool getting that done in a day!!
I really would love to build one of these and a Globeliner, but....being disabled and on a really limited income, I don't think it will ever happen....
Now I know what I will be doing after my retirement. BTW there is no warning beeper for reverse?
With the optional Tamiya MFC sounds and light system there is a backing beeper.
How do lighting and sound systems work? DO you need to install those systems during model assembly or can you put it in after its put together?
You can build a complete truck with out the lighting and sound. You can easily add it later with only minor disassembly.
Neat. But the left side, front rear double set of tires seems off as it wobbled when it rolled
Buenas noches amigo usted los vende?

The electronics are all separate.
What all I need and how much if it takes me awhile to get everything I can put it in the closet till I get the last part
THis video goes through it: ua-cam.com/video/Y9mfw8kYxs4/v-deo.html
TIP: When placing nuts into the plastic holders, a little drop of glue does wonders to keep them from popping out...
How functional is the 2000 mA accu with the original motor?
real nice video, your link for the transmission build was just a blank screen
Thanks! I fixed the link. Had updated that video.

Thank You
Generally if you buy a Tamiya truck kit the remote, servos, battery, speed control, charger etc. is separate.
how much for d kit..
It is possible for you to reupload the Transmission and Radio Modification videos? Neither of them are available 😞
They are on my You Tube site. Just go to my channel by clicking on ,y name and the the videos tab. This will show all my videos.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC Thank you!!
What is the brand name of the crystal clear glue you use?
Micro Crystal Clear. Amazon has it...
How much does the kit cost ? Or is that truck still available to buy? Thank you sir
hobbyconcepts.net/collections/truck-kits
Nice video again Bob ,do you sell the wire to extend the motor wires?
I do not have that, but any automotive type wire will work.
If you built and sold one what would you be asking. Just curious
Contact me by email - my email is in the description.
What is that colour 🤔 close to black matt or semi gloss black?
It is Tamiya TS-40 metallic black with TS-13 clear.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC thank you 👍🥃👍

They are called micro brush. Hello friend could you tell me how wide is the front axle of this truck? From one tire to another?
From outside edge of tire to outside edge of tire is 7"
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Can you Command a cheaper receiver and ESC please.
Have try to build that truck its not for novices because i cant build it
What is the micro crystal clear you are using
Awesome stuff: smile.amazon.com/Micro-Kristal-Klear-Microscale-Industries/dp/B0006O029E/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2QENZ9Q7JVOI5&keywords=micro+krystal+klear&qid=1667579732&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIwLjgxIiwicXNhIjoiMC4zNCIsInFzcCI6IjAuNDEifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=micro+krystal%2Caps%2C174&sr=8-1
I think you put the sticker on the back upside down.
What transmitter do you use?
Generally the Flysky FS-i6
have you bought the parts or homemade parts
This was all kit parts.
Did you know you made a mistake with the sticker on the rear panel?
Yep! Glad you are watching closely! Did fix it....
Probably sold by now, how much were you asking ? By the way do you sell once in awhile ?
I sometimes sell my trucks on eBay and will have a bunch this fall. Seller name is Hobbyconcepts.
What kind of remote is you using for this model???

Is that back decal on upside down...??
It was.
Do you use needle nose pliers that our spring retractable or just regular?
My favorite pair does not have a spring.
Hobbyconcepts-LLC
What kind of brand do you use for the Tamiya semi, also what size?
Actually my favorite is an old old Archer from Radio Shack! The tip length is 2" from the hinge.
Why didn't you jump in and go for a ride ?
Where can I get this build and how much money
Can I buy one like this that you built.and if yes how much
I sell these all build ready to run with bearings, radio etc. for $749.00 my email is jacobsenra@hotmail.com

Where did you get that truck kit and how much does it cost? Joe H.
Check eBay for current prices.
What will you be selling that one for?
$699
Do you need a ESC to drive?
Yes, you need an ESC or a Tamiya MFC unit that has the ESC built in.
Does it mather which ESC i use?
Is it hard to make for a 13 or 12 year old
Depends on the young person. I know many who could easily build one and many who do not know what a screwdriver or patience is.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC I've been building model kits for a while since I was ten but I just have been thinking about getting a tamiya model kit
Watch the video and you can probably decide. These build a lot different than plastic models.
How much you paid for the truck?
You cab find the Tamiya truck kits lots of places. Check online for prices.
Could you finish mine if I sent it to you? I lost my patience for it. Willing to pay to have it done.
I dont think he does that, he just builds the ones he buys to make them perfect, just like the ones you see at a show then he sells them.
