    Great build and video. I found it because I did a similar build which cost around 4k and noticed a handful of my views watched this video before mine. Well done!

      appreciate the comment, the walls are made from SIP panels so have the insulation in between the OSB sheeting

    No vapour barrier between plasterboard and timber frame? No dpm between ground and base frame? Why?

    Where did you purchase your slider door system? My wife and I would like to install a system like this in our off grid build in Northern Nevada. We are looking for one of these units right now.

    really nice, high spec finish, love the paint job. bet it was around £20k though!

    • @OwlGardenStudios
      @OwlGardenStudios  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Richard, thanks for the comment, it's a blue Venetian polished plaster wall inside, which cost around £2000 on it's own as it's a premium luxurious coating

    • @itsallrobbish

      If it’s £20000, then it’s a bargain!

      good job lads, wish people would realise when your pricing work that these things cost money, it will easily be a 20k job as cedar alone is expensive but its crazy money now anyhow

    Thanks for the video. Couldn't see the foundations, what did you use? Also why do you use the diagonals rather than just standard frames?

    • @OwlGardenStudios
      @OwlGardenStudios  2 роки тому

      Thank you. I used ground screws for the foundations. The diagonals in the roof are for a cantilever style roof and the diagonals in the base are so that I could mitre the decking

    Would the wind not rip the roof off

    • @OwlGardenStudios
      @OwlGardenStudios  3 роки тому

      As mentioned below we use the EPDM system, high winds don't tend to be an issue for us regarding the physical structure. All the fixings are done correctly to ensure a solid roof and building.

      @@OwlGardenStudios “ due to client privacy “ ?? He asked you how much would this cost… so roughly how much would you charge a customer for this… how is that a concern to client privacy? Your not at risk of breaching the data protection act, nor disclosing who your client is not their location…
      Basically what your saying is prices fluctuate depending who the client is ?
