I built an epic home office in my backyard - start to finish

  • Over the past year I built a work-from-home office in my backyard. With the exception of a couple months in 2012 doing roofing and a few months in 2014 testing concrete and soil, I had no experience in any of this!
I learned a ton and made a lot of mistakes, some bigger than others. It was all worth it. I'm loving working from my new office!
Check out the playlist where I go into more details on each step: • Backyard Office Build

He also failed to dig below the frost line for his foundation. He’s going to have massive issues down the road and may need to tear the entire thing down and start over. If he’s in a cold state, he’ll definitely need to.
He did a lot of things right! But that’s a pretty massive mistake to make.
It’s why you generally shouldn’t be making tutorial videos like this unless you actually know what you’re doing; very easy to miss important details like that.
