Absolutely beautiful work guys. Love the attention to detail. Do you guys build if all the materials are supplied? Out of curiosity, how much did this build cost? Once again - fantastic!
Fantastic! Looks so good! Was thinking maybe the owner should have gone for a valted ceiled if that's whats its called?! I'll have to call you to get a quote at some point as its exactly what I need done.
Guys can i ask a couple of questions please. 1. For foundations you use a mix of brick on one side and foundation blocks on other side. Why the mix and match? Why in parts are bricks two deep? 2. In prior video (where you show the cost of a 6x4 room) the walls are one block deep with insulation board inside between wood studs. In this video its block, insulation, block... why the extra layer of block. Is that for extra insulation or due to the roof (larger building so a heavier roof?) Great work guys. Amazing job.
Wow ..... GREAT JOB !!! ... You make it look so easy but i know it's hard work as i'm so useless !!! lol ... Many thanks for the youtube as i can learn just small little bits that i'd never know !!! ... BIG THANKS !!!
Guys, this was Brilliant to watch 👏🏼👏🏼. Thank you for sharing. I've never seen one of these come together from start to finish. Started and finished to near full 3bed house perfection, minus the plumbing and heating of course. So very impressed. I assist in my father brothers and brother in law doing small jobs, so I valued taking this in. I'm a new subscriber Peace
Looks amazing, thanks for sharing. So 2 questions, how much do materials for a project like this cost I assume it was 8x4m? And question 2, what's the difference between an outhouse like this and an actual house? Is there a different process or more thorough specs/guidelines to adhear to or a deeper foundation required? As an example, could a bigger version of this be used as a bungalow to live in or would there be a lot more to it? Thanks
8:05 love the build, really good to watch. 2 questions. What is the size of that build? For the pitch roof can you use a RSJ, I see you used wood! Or is it a certain length.
Absolutely great to see the building come together like this. Well done. Can i ask, when doing the framing/stud work, you used Screws to put the studs together. Does it matter if you use Screws or Ring shank nails? Which one is best? Whuch one is stronger?
It dosent really matter. I personally prefer screws but they are more expensive. Nails are actually stronger when it comes to bending and breaking but screws won’t pull out over time although unless it’s a hurricane none of these things are really issues lol
This was so entertaining to watch!! Thanks! What’s the size of the building?? We are planning to build something similar for our home using double brick
Appreciate it's a difficult question to answer accurately, but what would be the ballpark cost for something like this? Built with blocks and external cladding instead of brick?
Great videos, can i build a single skin outbuilding thats around 45sqm or is that to bog for a single skin would it be best to do a double skin. Thanks
Hi Darren, what is MrA and the team doing while you are in Dominica? Did they follow you up in your suitcase? For some awesome Dominica build? You know what, whaching the speed build, it's easy to forget how much work went into it..
But for this big « garden house » it could be to leave in it at the end. But for this size need authorisation sure and what about the price? Like this? Really less than 2 months an half? You workers are super speed and full professional
Just wondering why the brick cavity wall didn't seem to have been built around the entire perimeter, just the front and the right side? Not a builder so I have no idea, cheers.
My god, a couple of guys, and the house built from ground to roof, plus decoration, electrics, and what not. Where I live, that would take at least 6-7 different “specialists”.
Hi Jim, I did a video that explains what the various rules are for planning and or building regs. Do I need planning or building regs for my garden house? ua-cam.com/video/6g4u_g74VUw/v-deo.html
This was very nice! How many days did this take approximately for your 3 man team? Start to finish? Looks fantastic tbh Could even have an AC unit to heat up if needed in a place like that! :)
Amazing job all in. Small question, do you not put capping over the cables before putting the plasterboard on? Also how much did you charge? If you fancy a trip over to Bristol then you've got some work.
Thankyou Q1) Capping isn’t needed these days with RCDS etc. Q2) Definately not enough for what was involved and material costs. Was just over 30K. Exclud windows/doors. Bristols out of my range though 😊 I’m based in London. Many thanks
@@darrenthebuilder thanks for the reply. Yes I realised you were in London. Honestly, the work you did on this and other jobs is excellent, all you obviously have alot of care and the quality is high up your list. Great work ethic and obviously extremely hard working. With putting out on UA-cam you are proud of your work but you should be. They will obviously be standing for many years and look great. I see alot of garden rooms that are built from timber frames with cladding, I'm not sure if I would prefer a brick building or wooden structure with nice wooden cladding. But I guess with either the finishing touches (flooring, windows / doors, roofing material and render / cladding) can really make the difference for the final product.
Was that as satisfying to build as I had fun watching? If I had the budget*, I'd hire you guys to do my man-cave and put you up in a hotel, all expenses paid! Super tunes too. Makes a nice change on YT videos :) *I don't :(
So many people on you tube with ‘skills’ ..you guys just do it , no egos just doing a great job 👏
I can't believe you built this in 18minutes, looks amazing!
Crickey! These two guys are proper multi skilled tradesmen , hard grafters ! Superb job, again ! The customers must be over the moon !👍👍👍👍👍
Amazing. This is exactly how I would like my garden office/ shed.
It’s when you see it in Timelapse that the total transformation of a mess into a stylish building becomes very apparent. Great work
You are a very accomplished buiider 👏
Another amazing project. Always excellent workmanship. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You should do time lapses on some of your older projects too Darren. It would be nice to revisit them.

Thank you so much for the time-lapse of the entire project. This is a lovely house. I wonder if the owners now wish they added a bathroom.

For the pitch roof can you use a RSJ, I see you used wood! Or is it a certain length.
Sorry guys, are those themal air rated blocks below the DPC or are they made for this?
Hi they are called trench blocks. Similar to the thermal ones but designed for below the ground.
Okay thanks for the response, lovely job you guys are doing 👍

It was a great job, i really liked it. Pls tell me how much did it exactly cost. I wanna make one of that in my back yard.

What material do they use on the roof?
Where does electricity come from and why can't I see the incoming power cable?
What type of shingles did you use on the roof? They looked like ceramic shingles.
Why yo don use reneforsmant bars?
Hi Darren,
You’re on Holiday. We will be here when you get back , I promise.
Enjoy some Good home cooking and have a well deserved Chill.

Hi, Great job! What was the dimensions of this build? Thanks
no rebar in concrete?
We don’t typically use rebar in footings in the UK
Just wondering why the brick cavity wall didn't seem to have been built around the entire perimeter, just the front and the right side? Not a builder so I have no idea, cheers.
Hello, do you need a planning permission for a pitched roof outbuilding like the one here?
Hi I’m most case yes you will
My god, a couple of guys, and the house built from ground to roof, plus decoration, electrics, and what not. Where I live, that would take at least 6-7 different “specialists”.
Not sure if already mentioned , but does this size require local council permission.

Should've just let the pitch of the roof become the ceiling too instead of a horizontal one...
You can’t as it needs the ceiling joists as part of the structure.
