This cabin has been a practice build to prepare for the construction of the Log Cabin Getaways holiday park which will hopefully launch in 2025.
Apologies for the poor-ish video quality, any future videos will be filmed with a much better quality camera and any preparation that can be done off screen will be to make for a smoother flowing video.
The cabin is 12m long by 8m wide including the deck at the front. It's not shown in the video but there is a solar system installed and water connected to the kitchen and bathroom.

Should have run a corner board and butted the siding into it. The corners look like a complete miss. Gonna be loud in there when it rains. Nice job otherwise.

Love the cladding. All that work with no insulation. Even though it may be summer cabin only with an open ceiling I would have insulated the side walls while it was open just in case it becomes a year round cabin later on.
Thanks for the feedback, majority of the walling is insulated but next time there will be insulation every where I can fit it

@@logcabingetaways47 get a temperature gun and you will see the differences along the walls.
Was cringing to see you close up those walls with no insulation. Also, dual-pane glass would have been an easy add too. Excellent job on the time lapse and music.

Great design, great big porch. Would do double pane windows for insulation and cooling. That's gonna be HOT in the summer and find some way to cool the cabin but honestly that's it. My sole critique! LOVE

I noticed that, too. I was like, "Nooooo!!! You can't just clad the walls without packing in some insulation! That's just a hollow space now!!"
yeah... unless they are in a tropical areas (which rarely use insulation).
Since they from Australia, so i don't think they need insulation
@@jyunsouya4798 You definitely need insulation in Australia. It keeps the HEAT out too. Did you notice the fire place? It also gets really cold...

Nice little build guys, not wanting to be a wet blanket but you should have insulated the roof and walls as a minimum it all helps in the long run. Nice outcome at the end.
