- Hiking to Pen Y fan, the highest point in Southern Britain via the horseshoe circular route in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, United Kingdom.
This is one of the best, most scenic hiking routes in the whole of the southern UK in my opinion and doesn't require any skill, just a base level of fitness.

I’d recommend spring or summer but check the forecast before as if it’s a clear day it can be just as nice in the winter, just take warm clothing!
