Just seeing the Beacons brings back pain and stress memories going through the infantry recce course many years ago.

The fact that an Ex-Army Physical Trainer became homeless is pretty shocking.

18 yrs served, Ex tank cmdr. Left after my last tour '08...by xmas 09 was on the streets. 2 yrs and thankfully my close friends and family finally got through to me i was killing myself slowly. Now, i have a good job, fairly sober ( maybe 20 pints a yr) my own home and a brighter future. I know im one of the (very) lucky ones. British Legion helped me no end aswell, thats why i give every month.

Same here, I served from 1995 tp 2010 and lived in a van for a year, we don't get the help that the media portrays we do.

We should push the boat out to help everyone of these heroes who fall on hard times we owe them so much. I think the Americans look after their men better.

All lottery wins should pay a premium to ex-forces members in need. A sharing system is desperately needed to help this deserving cause.

But we've got multi Millionaire politicians & multi Millionaire footballers & popstars....why should someone who's maybe lived on the bread line for years & became lucky with a lottery win fork out 🤔

Hi Julian, Thanks for your comment! We don't do it regular I'm afraid! This was a one charity type event to raise money for charity.

These are not mountains they are hills go to Highlands to see real mountains where temperatures drop to -15 or -20
