To clarify, oblivion takes place before skyrim, the reason nobody trusts mages in skyrim is because of the oblivion crisis.

You should totally play Outward! It's an amazing RPG, I have the definitive edition with the DLCs myself and it's a blast! I think you'd love it, dudemeister.
Hey Brian. Please take a look at Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It is an older game 2012, but is rich in story and gameplay. One of the only games that I completely finished. I think you might like it. There is fighting, puzzles and a fairly large map.

I made a breton pure mage that was 100% resistant to magic
You inspired me to recreate a new character. I always make them look exactly like me, takes like an hour. By the way if you want to have harder fights just scale up the difficulty a bit, it'll give you slightly better quality loots later on too.
Maces in this game are over powered lol, do your weapon skill up nit even much like be level 10 and you will start one shoting enemies, the blunt force in this game is crazy

X4 Foundations is a great space game. Build a galactic empire.
Yeah many of casual players did like skyrim, but more hardcore elder scrols fans not so much. Skyrim was simplified too much by removal of attributes,classes,spellcrafting etc. Morrowind is by far best elder scrols game, eaven though my personal fevorite is daggerfall.
I know Brian likes the story modes campaign modes...STARFIELD is hours and hours of story mode no online at all....I think it's a very unique game
