I agree, Appetite and Lies, were the best years for the band, but Use your Illusion" albums were great as well. And Matt, Dizzy and Gilby did a great job in the early 90's. After that, the Giant went down.
They didn't, most of the list isn't guns and Rose's, that was Axl,Slash,Duff,Izzy and Steven then Matt and Gilby was the last real gunner all the rest were part of the Axl Rose band,just hired players to play for Axl to sing. The band wasn't Guns and Roses anymore
When Izzy left, it was over. The reunion tour is cool, but since he left there has been no new music form the band (ignoring the awful chinese democracy)
Geez they have had more members than Rose has excuses for not playing shows. I remember them back in the 1980s, they really could have been so much more but ultimately imploded.

There was one time where the lineup was perfect. Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, Steven and Dizzy. While this lineup never lasted long it was simply the best. You can really hear them all playing well together in "Civil War".
I find it odd that Matt Sorum had the busiest career post-GNR. The Cult, Velvet Revolver, solo stuff, and Deadland Ritual. He’s still a great musician.
I’ve loved Slash from day one and still feel the same. He and Duff really tried helping Scott Weiland , sorry things went bad. But I have such respect for those guys for trying to help someone who I don’t think really wanted to be helped.
Motley crue was so huge and has the most loyal fans. Gnr was legendary but don't even think for a minute the crue was mediocre that's just not true . not everything they did was great but when they were on they made some crazy huge songs. They both were literally unbelievably great.
My favorite band ever. There are so many good ones but no other band has ever moved me like this one. I'm just so happy to have them back after so much pain and drama.

Axl, Tommy, Robin, Richard, Buckethead, Brain, Dizzy, and Chris were a bad ass lineup. It was a basically a supergroup. They should have toured more, gelled, and released a few albums.
Killer band until the mid 90s. Glad I was able to see them a couple of times in their heyday. But for me gnr ended after Slash and Duff left. After that it was just Axl's solo band. The best line up was the Appetite line up, hands down.

Ole beich were good friends with my guitar teacher. From time to time my teacher tells me stories about him. I think he drowned in the harbour of Esbjerg, my hometown. Ole was struggling with a lot of drugs which probably was the reason he ended up as he did. Really sad 😞
I didn't even know about Ole until just now (I just started really getting into GnR) and idk what came over me but I started crying. Truly a tragic thing. If you're struggling with mental health, please consider getting help. You mean a lot to so many people whether you know it or not.
I hadn’t heard of Ashba before I saw him with GnR years back ... I wasn’t expecting much, but he was absolutely amazing, and had the best tone/feel of all the guitarists there for this gig (this was pre- Slash’s return, obviously, and pre- Fortus who I rate extremely highly and would love to see play with the ‘original line-up’ now/alongside Slash). How different it could have been if Fortus was brought in back in the 90s, instead of Axl’s boyfriend ... GnR have been spoilt for awesome drummers! 😊
Ad much as I respect and like slash. Tracii is one of my favorite and most influenced by guitarist. Izzy was the song writer that guns never reproduced and never recovered from. Izzy straddling is the rhythm guitarist of the great Guns N’ Roses and no one else!! Tracii guns is such a great riff master and LA GUNS is one of my favorite bands today!!!
The GN'R best & original line up for millions of people will always be Adler, Stradlin, McHagan, Slash & Axl Rose. The Sorum and Clark in the "Use your illusion " years as well as the addition of Dizzy Reed, was still a great line up. But after that, I don't care about the Axl's GN'R. But the good think about Axl persistence to keep Guns N' Roses on the road, was that younger generations started following. I personally moved out with Slash's Snakepit and then Velvet Revolver. But so many years later, it was great to see the good old guys reunited. I just wish either Adler or Sorum could get on board again and say bye bye to that other drummer and the chick. And bring back Dizzy. But I'm asking too much since I don't know the reasons why these other two are still in the band. Ole Beich was from my home town Esbjerg Denmark, sad story with him, after that he left the roses , he come back to Denmark, Copenhagen, one night after drinking he said to a buddy! sitting on a bench, i can swim from this side, to the other side under the water, he said no you cant, he jumped in! an was never seen again, as told in the the video, he had for many years suffered from depression, But so had Axel, they lived under poor conditions in LA for so many years before they got famous
It is amazing timing that GNRS came together to tour and made a ton of dough before Covid came! No band may ever be able to assemble people like that again ( in stadiums) and make that kind of money!! Who could have predicted?
The original Guns n Roses lineup consisted of members of the bands "LA Guns" (Tracii Guns band) and "Hollywood Rose" (Axl Roses band); the name came from the merging of those two bands. So, Tracii Guns wouldn't have "started" LA Guns, after leaving GnR, he would have re-formed the band, using the old name.
Guns and roses helped me through the darkest time of my life when I was 13 and my parents, older brother, and 3 baby sisters were in a head on collision that instantly killed my dad and severely injured everyone else about a week after the illusion albums came out. They are the greatest band ever

My nephew was recently in rehab with Axle in Florida. My nephew idolized and loved Axle and spent quite a bit of time with Axle in rehab. My nephew whent home to Colo. When he was done with rehab. My nephew was found dead a few months back from Drugs. I have NO RESPECT FOR AXLE

Buckethead didn't really fall on hard times. He got a cardiac arrythmia taken care of and has always been on on the spectrum. Dude has probably worked more consistently and with more big touring bands than anyone on this list since he left.

He didn't died in Esbjerg, he drowned in Sct. Jorgens lake in Copenhagen, October 16 1991 under suspicious circumstances.
