Wow!..I've had my LG K51 for over five years with no issue's and I love it. But if I ever needed to go through this ordeal with it I would just replace it. I would buy another LG phone that is comparable it. Btw..I found a really good charger for it on Amazon..it's a part of their Amazon Basics line ($7) and it charges my phone very fast. I will never need an iphone with my lifestyle.😊

I'm stuck on step 2. The back will not come off.
EDIT: After I applied heat to the back using my hairdryer, I was able to use a metal tool to pry the back panel off (different from how the video shows it). I'm surprised how many videos fail to mention you need to apply heat to melt the glue holding the back cover of the phone on. Unfortunately, the battery replacement did not bring my phone back to life, but at least I learned a new skill...

This is not correct. The back does not come off as shown here. Instead, there is a plastic plate on the back that comes off and allows access to components as shown here. This direction caused me to unnecessarily destroy my display. Fortunately, the replacement was not expensive. To remove the back plate, heat the rear of the phone and it will peel right off.
