After watching your Argyle quilt video, I wondered how you made such narrow bias strips. Thanks for demonstrating those products. I have been aware of them for years, but hesitant to spend the money when I didn't fully know how/when to use them. Very helpful video.
I am a very inexperienced sewing person and I’m hand sewing. I bought this tool a week ago. OMG it was so easy for me. I’m making the quarter inch but I made the material just slightly wider so I can have a slightly wider stitching area. Thank you Laura, you have no idea just how easy and simple your tutorials are to follow, for people like me.
I most always make my own,I like to make it with the matching fabric..off topic now I just got a Lutterloh golden rule set and would love it if you would do another video,your videos are always so clear to understand…
I’ve just bought a quilt binder to make it easier for me although I do have quite a few bias tape contraptions I use for dressmaking but I’m likening the fusible idea especially for the grandchildren’s clothes. Thank you for another great tutorial 💜
Hi Laura, Learning the hard way is my mantra...lol...I cut my fabric a smidge too wide & it folds poorly, then I take it out & just use the iron. I've been making the Amish folded Star trivets & they are quite thick w/Insulbrite & Wrap & Zap so the wider the better to wrap around. Thanks for the fusible tip too.
Thank you for the demo on how to adhere fusible tape to binding. This technique is new to me. I understand the use of fusible binding for applique on a quilt top, but are there uses for it when sewing clothing? I am interested to learn more.

How do you calculate the amount of bias tape you will need?
good question, I honestly just draw a picture with the measurements and then add up the amounts

Then it will allow you to use that by ironing it down as it will adhere ???
So the side with the fusible goes against the material???
Where can I find the measurements for the quilt blocks..
