    Nice job! Can you also do a Minichamps vs. Spark comparison for their 1/18 models, but with cars from the same race and driver?

      Whenever I can get my hands on both versions, yes. Luckily this time I had two pretty similar models from the people of Race Passion Store.
      I normally buy the models I use in my videos. Buying 2 of the same model, just to compare them is a bit too much I think...

    Look forward to new videos this year. Happy new year and here's to a great 2023 F1 season

    Nice video!!! I have got both Gulf McLarens, one MC and one Spark. I will do my comparison review soon. Great job, I prefer Minichamps but in some fine details Spark is better. They can get the colours wrong simetimes though and in this case the Spark Gulf livery has far whiter blue shade than Minichamps and in this case I would say easy winner is MC. But not necessarily in every case. Keep up the vids, I would love to see more comparisons.

    Minichamps is the best brand for 1:43 models IMO. I just started my collection.

      It really depends on the subject. They both have some great models and some real duds too.

    Thanks for the comparo, personally I have trouble spending top dollar for resin (plastic) models no matter who the brand is. Ideally F1 models should be made in carbon fiber but that is unrealistic and would be price exorbitant. As for regular street car models, I much prefer die-cast over plastic as real cars are made of metal not plastic! However I agree that resin models can outdo die-cast in the reproduction of finer details.

      Thanks! Sadly I don't have a Ferrari 640 model to review...
      I did plan on doing one on the 1990 Exoto Prost 641 model though!

    Can these cars be detached from the base plate and do the wheels spin like Bburago F1 cars ? Do you know if the Mercedes car (product code 13332183) on F1 store website is a Spark or Minchamps ? Thanks

    • @rps_reviews
      @rps_reviews  Рік тому +1

      These models can be detached from the base plates, yes. The wheels don't spin though, as it's usually the case with resin models.
      The Merc on the F1 Store is a Spark model. Minichamps uses different base plates.

      @@sammartin8700 I wouldn't recomment to play with these cars, they are extremely fragile. Just saying in case if you are asking because of that. If you want F1 cars to play with as well than Bburago is your brand. Much less detailed but much sturdier.

    Amazing video mate. Where did you buy those stickers?

    • @rps_reviews
      @rps_reviews  2 роки тому +2

      I got them from an Ebay shop called "stonemodel". I can recommend them. Quality pre cut decals, a few extra's too in case of an oopsie, and very nice communication and service.

    Is the base cardboard melded to plastic? If so, seems cheap for an expensive model.....Your thoughts?

    • @rps_reviews
      @rps_reviews  Місяць тому

      You mean on the Minichamps model? The cardboard can be separated from the plastic, it's not stuck on there, no. The model is actually keeping it on there.

      In a way all quality modelcars are... You can always wait it out and hope the price drops, but run the risk of them selling out. That's part of the collecting game.
