Thanks for the comparison. Great video. As I am a 1/43 guy - I only can say that Looksmart is 100% my choice. Driver is there, correct nose with no gap for this specific SF-75 and cheeper.
Thanks! I do have a different opinion on the Monza version though. The Looksmart is more accurate for that version, just shame about the steering wheel and tyres...
I just bought the Looksmart 1/18 2022 Italian GP #55 version on F1store, for some reason they priced it at £120 and the 1/43 at £290. Grabbed a great deal! I typically collect just 80s, 90s, 00s and Minichamps but after seeing this review in the past I appreciate this beautiful model and the detail and it looks great in any collection !
I have 2021, 2020 and 2019 Ferrari models from Looksmart, so I also will be getting 2022 by Looksmart aswell. Presentation - the box, and a display is a must, and looks like a better deal. will probably will get Carlos Sainz England GP Winner, - his first victory in F1
Good to see your reviews back! I usually buy Minchamps/BBR but this time I bought the Looksmart due the 30% off sale the F1 store had for the model 😅 It's interesting how you improved the nose of the BBR because before the release, collectors were saying BBR got the nose wrong this time when they saw the leaked studio photos of the models.
Thanks! I had the luxury of having both models in my hands and look at them from every angle. The BBR nose can be hit or miss depending on what you get. I've seen some that don't look too good. Filling in the gap does help though. As I said in the review, I don't think you can really go wrong on either one.
So BBR, for the price, doesn't have a split wing on the front, but Solido does have one for 50 euros (sure, not as detailed overall, but it is a budget model)?! What a time to be alive for an F1 model collector...
Very good video just a small correction though it's actually the F1-75 not SF-75. Not that big of a deal though I've seen many people make that mistake
Did you add a visor tear-off on your BBR? I have a couple of BBRs and generally prefer those over Looksmart/Sparks. However, biggest complaint I have heard about the BBR is the front wing and nose tip is not correct but Looksmart's is.
Yeah, I did add a tear off to see if it would diffuse the golden color of the visor a bit. It didn't change it too much though. The nose is a difficult part it seems for all modelmakers. The BBR has this noticable panel gap, but looks smoother. The Looksmart is more correct with the slightly more squarish shape, but it doesn't blend as nicely into the front wing. The Amalgam has a noticable panel gap too...
Looksmart looks nicer overall aside from decals issue, but wheels don't spin... damn, that killed it for me. How hard is it to make a model with spinning wheels..

The Monza version is 100% better by Looksmart, that I would certainly agree on.
Went for BBR after watching you, thanks for the great service -- as usual, best quality reviews around.❤

Great comparison video! Thank you.
You're welcome, I hope you enjoyed it!

That's an unbelievable deal indeed! The Looksmart Monza is very good, even better than ther BBR.

There is so very little in between them, you can't go wrong, just follow your gut feeling. The Monza version is slightly better by Looksmart though.

Solido models are decent indeed. But I wouldn't put them next to a BBR, Looksmart, Minichamps or Spark...

You're absolutely right! I did see one picture that said "Ferrari F1-75", but I figured it was wrong :D! TIL

What about the chassis details?
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that?
Looksmart looks nicer overall aside from decals issue, but wheels don't spin... damn, that killed it for me. How hard is it to make a model with spinning wheels..
Resin models usually don't have rotating wheels. I prefer when they do spin as the tyres don't stick to the surface beneath the model then.
The front wing of BBR is actually off
Nah, it's still firmly on ;)
Why don't you show the bottom of the cars? Please be sure to show the bottom of the cars 🙏
That's a good idea, I'll take it into account for the next videos!
I will rather the bbr sf 23, looks better and doesn't have that stuped looking front nose cone
Personally I don't really like the SF-23. I bet the BBR is really good, although the Looksmart is probably a very close match!
Looksmart
The Monza version by Looksmart is the best of them all!
