I thoughts for sure you were going to swap the round lens from the sealed one to the new housing. Prob doable with some heat gun action. I’m curious if people are flashing their brights at you. I just went with the Hellas with good halogens after much debate with my brain.
How did you get the light to sit flush so you could bend the tabs? It's the only bit of the video we needed to see 😅 we've got the same headlights as you, and we've made notches on the surround for the tabs... but no matter what we try, the lamp sits proud of the surround so the tabs can't sit through the slots and be bent!
Were they marked correctly for the notches to be cut out? If you look at 4:56 you can see the tabs come through the small notches and the light sits flush.

It was on it when I bought it. My best luck had been Facebook marketplace or through friends for other parts. Local VW groups are a good source too

Which model bulb did you use Marshall?
This is the 7” round bulb.
