You spoke facts about the break rooms. So freaking awesome.
You did such a great job in explaining. Day 2 training😇

You are a very good speaker!
Thank you! I appreciate it ☺️
Noticed one of the days on my nephew's schedule is incorrect prior to his start day will they turn you away on your first day or will they help you fix it. Called that customer service number and they said they would fix it for my nephew but are they lying and make you go thorough waiting for the correct shift to become available?
I recently got hired as a forklift driver. This video really gives me motivation and excitement to work here. I can’t wait
Cool fork lifts i like
I work at amazon and im a forklift driver today was my second day at work but my first time driving it alone
@@daryaniefrancisco5349 how you like it? I’ve been transferred to a sort center but I have training Tuesday
@@_.yvngrich how's the sorting going? Or are you driving a forlift or an OP? Thanks.
Honestly, driving a forklift sounds like so much fun
How long did you last as a seasonal worker?
nice one matey
How long is your break ? Where do you go for break ? Can you take your phone in? Can you bring your own snacks/lunchbag? Wow free coffee and hot chocolate I don’t drink that but that’s pretty cool
I believe break was 15 minutes. I could be wrong though, because I haven’t worked there in a while. My location had a break room and another break area as well with chairs and tables. You are more than welcome to bring your own food. I do believe there was a fridge. Right now you can always have your phone on you, but I think that’s because of Covid in case of an emergency.
I m trying to get hired onto Amazon Sortation Center. Thanks for the video, I’m nervous- I’m a lot older than the usual warehouse worker So I start in two weeks ..wish me luck! 👵🏼🥰💜
I'm starting at a sort center tonight! I've heard it's a lot more chill than the fulfillment centers, so I'm hopeful

Your experience was different because it sounds like you work at a sort center. I do too. Sbd3 in san bernardino ca. Its waaaaaaaaaaaaay easier and more laud back than a fulfillment center
Do you do stowing and pick off at the sort center??
Hey neighbor. I’m in San Bernardino.
I’m seeing this a year later 😂 are you still at Amazon? I start in 2 weeks…thanks for sharing your experience it helps.

Idk what position I chose all I remember it saying a team member don't know what they do though I start on the 29
I start the 29th in a freezer section any advice or what to ecpect thanks
Hi, not sure if you know the answer but... I selected my shifts for sun, Mon, Tues and Friday. However my first day is on Wed (2/3). Is that an error on their part? I plan on going but now I'm nervous because I don't know what my schedule is.. Wasn't given any contact info for the warehouse so I'm not sure who to contact. Thanks
That’s normal! My first few days weren’t my scheduled time, but that’s just because it was training. Do you at least have time and location for your first day?
@@Tiki_Tee_ Yes! Thanks so much. I was really sweatin haha
@@TheBlackAngel50 No problem!
How does the grouping training thing work if everyone is social distancing.
They asked us to always be 6 ft apart and the trainers yelled their instrcutions to us over the noise of the Fullfillment Center as best as they could.
Also, at my facility they had cameras on us that put a green ring around our feet if we were at proper distance, orange if we got too close, and BULLSEYE RED! if we were in COVID RANGE. hahaha... what a fucking joke.
I remember that in the middle my shifts somtimes being called to manager's desks where we worked on my training in very close proximity to one another for 20 minutes straight. Yeah... uh huh... You can't stay 6 ft all the time, and if you get COVID at Amazon they pay you for your time in quaratine anyway.
@@larrymasterspowerbuildingc4477 same mines did the whole camera thing too. 😂😂😂

Free box cutters for life haha
Cone Boy lol pretty much!
Are you ever scared to work at night ? Are you still working there today ? How are you feeling now compare to your first day ? What else are you doing besides working on Amazon, in school, second job?
I am no longer with Amazon and I have another video about my reasons for leaving. ☺️ The only thing I didn’t like about working at night was commuting, and that was only due to the fact that I took the bus. I planned on going to grad school while working, but I knew plenty of people who worked Amazon and another job as well. Hope this helps!
@@Tiki_Tee_ I’m starting this at Amazon
Wish there was some in warehouse footage... :/
Hi❤ today is my first day the training , I’m scared 😱 because my English is not good 😢 I hope to do it well 😊
Can take take my own food and do I need to put it in a clear bag
Got an interview thing tomorrow, do you find the job easy?
I’d say the work itself is easy as long as you don’t mind physical work.
Just ask the interviewer.
I’m really confused on how will I know what lane and area would I be working at ? My trainer really didn’t explain that well for me
For my location there were names on a screen that let you know where to go at the start of your shift. Most people ignored that and just went to whatever spots were available though lol
@@Tiki_Tee_ would you get in trouble for that ? And is that white bored located when entering the building ?
@@wsbabyfourteen7096 For my particular location it was right in the front. As for getting in trouble, I never saw anyone get in trouble, especially because there are so many people working at once. I had times where I’d go to my assigned spot and someone was already there. I feel like as long as you’re working in some capacity you’ll be okay.
Did you get interviewd?
What happens if you lost your i.d or forgot, what to do?
What are your shifts schedule?
Can u request a dayoff? Are they linient schedules?
Do you get warnings for being late?
Can you choose the type if work?
Do they assign women to do the super hard work like lifting heavy boxes, stowing, waterspider?
You don't get interviewed. You get hired in and your test scores decide what you do. You can request a different job, but I don't know if they will allow you to be trained at it. Always ask though to be sure.
If you are full time you will work 12 hour shifts. Not sur what part time is.
You have to build up to be able to request a day off--BUT-- on your scanner screen they always offer you the opportunity to leave work early at different time stages throughout a shift. So you can be full time, but get off work 2 hours, 4 hours, or 6 hours into a shift every day, because they always send everyone notifications on their scanner gun screens while the shift is underway.
If you are late more that 3 times, I think it gts pretty bad. Like they will suspend you for 3 days, and then if it is a problem evn one more time thy just shitcan you. So don't ever be late.
Managers will be aware of your physical limitations and they won't give you work that is too heavy because safety is #1 there. And if you ar being fucked with as far as that is concerned, then tell HR immdiately. When I workd at Amazon, I got given the heavy routes as an Overhead Pick Driver because I am very strong pnhysically. But very small women who are not strong at all are given the routes to pick items that never go over 40 lbs. Still, though--it is a workout even picking the small items because you do it for 12 hours. But yeah.... tell them your concerns and they will listen and put you where you fit best.
Hope that helps! All the best!
@@larrymasterspowerbuildingc4477 what test score?
Do seasonal employees get health insurance
Does seasonal workers eligible for fertility coverage?
In which city are you working?
My arm its done after 3 months i will be probably forced to quit before i damage my nerves and cannot wipe my ass 😅
Hi hopefully you respond !I start Friday just found out I’m pregnant
I’m very tough always on my feet I can lift safely , and it would be part time ! Just wondering if it’s exhausting or physically hard ? Thank you
Congrats! I didn’t find the job too exhausting or physically strenuous. Some locations like mine have an oversized section though which is constant heavy lifting, but I’m sure if you mention your pregnancy you won’t have to work in that section. Best of luck!
Be ready. It's At Will Employment. Meaning if you are on the layoff list, they won't care about you or your family. They call you from out of state and say don't show up for the next shift. And it won't matter if you are good at your position there. It will be just business. God Bless you and I hope it is still working out for you. But here's what happened to me last week:
--Thursday: got called to managers station and they read to me from a tablet some jazz about how Amazon wants to thank me for working so hard
--Saturday morning: while I was falling to sleep after an 11-hour midnight's shift, I got a call from an out of state number in Washington by an Amazon representative telling me that I was no longer on the schedule.
@@larrymasterspowerbuildingc4477 well that sucks! Thanks for the heads up. It sounds like they were trying to warn you on Thursday they were going to be letting you go. Now I'm nervous cause I start next week and I really hope they keep me 😭
@@bendietrees Hi. Thanks for replying. Congratulations as well! IF YOU GT LAID OFF BY A PERSON CALLING FROM AN OUT OF STATE NUMBER TELL THM THAT YOU WANT TO ESCALATE---ESCALATE--THAT IS THE WORD THAT YOU MUST USE--ESCALATE, your concerns about getting your job back to HR.
Again, I hope it works out for the best. Mayb your facility has a different policy for layoffs, etc. Also, 3 months after I got laid off, Amazon started to send me emails about job openings in my area. I imagine I could have called my nearest facility and told them that I was an outstanding overhead pick driver and that I needed work again. Maybe that would have gotten me my Blu Badge--a Blue Badge means that you are full time. But I didn't accpt the offer because I had already chosen a new path of employment--welding.
So, here is how I think it works:
1. you are hired
2. you perform at your best and follow all the rules and always let your managers know when you have ANY issues with the job or ANY worker causing your grief. Let your managers or HR handle all of your frustrations if another worker is disrupting your work flow. Anger managment is critical at Amazon because the work load is heavy.
3. They lay you off. But I think that they lay you off to review your performance because with me, they laid me off, but 3 months later they offred me my old job back because I had a really clean record of job performance, uhm --i got written up once for flipping off a manager because he was in the wrong with how he treated me.
AND REMEMBER---ESCALATE YOUR SITUATION IF YOU GET THE CALL. REMEMBER TO TELL THAT YOU WANT TO ESCALATE YOUR JOB POSITION FOR REHIRE IMMDIATELY.
I hope this helps, and all the best to you! Go Get Em!
How smart you are… you learnt all of this in a day…wow you are the most happy amazon worker, those vest are given only to Managers at The place I worked. Are you manager there?
How can she be manager in 2 days
Sitting down? Where?
Do you really have to work 12 hours ??? What about the eight hours
For Everyone That Wants Another Honest Opinion From A Stranger.
I start September 9, 2021.
I will update how it went when asked.
How did it go?
How did it go?
Oh I just got a notification!
Im on my second week. I work 12hrs, 3 days as a picker. The job to “pick” is easy, but gets taxing on the body when you surpass 4 hours. You stand for hours..on a concrete floor. YOU WILL BE SORE!
I recommend getting insoles. The warehouse is REALLY BIG. Your 30 minute breaks end very fast.
The good side is that the snacks in the break rooms are affordable, it’s full of kind people, everyone there is human.
The pay is well. If you think of going- bring food or money on your day one, working hard and fast for hours on an empty stomach will kill you.
Another thing UA-cam videos don’t mention is:
There is an 80% chance you will have “MET” (Mandatory Extra Time) whenever you pick up a shift. So the moment you look for extra days, you really can’t cancel.
I just got hired, and my job start Feb 17th, 6pm to 6:30am.
Pretty nervous but I applied for fulfillment part. I'm like hopeful I do this right and get trained right lol.

you made a wise choice bro. I worked midnights at Amazon as a forklift driver and got good at it. But because it was seasonal, and they mean that shit when they talk about AT WILL EMPLOYMENT, they did just that. they fired me for no reason but to save money. I just got the call yesterday that I was let go. Got the call just as i was falling asleep. It was so humiliating. I learned that job well and was paying my bills and everything.
