I ordered some back in the fall, now I have about 35 miniature violets. I'm so thrilled. I really didn't expect it to work when I ordered these, but it's actually pretty easy, I just put them under my grow lights with some other plant. Success 🤗

This is the very best place to buy African violet seeds from. I bought all three varieties and now have quite a herd of baby African violets. Just make sure to follow Ron’s instructions exactly. It is best if you purchase his soil for starting the seeds in, and be willing to wait for growth to emerge.

Ron, I finally figure out the problem with green algae growing covering the seeds before the come up. It was the light!! For my growing environment Fluorescent light works best. Less algae grows giving the seeds time to sprout. The variegated seeds are doing well!! I'll be placing another order soon!! Thanks again for your help!!

I just found your video! Thank you for making this. Very clear and well presented. I have a so-called green thumb and do very well with established violets, but haven't tried growing from seed. I wanted different kinds for my collection; now have some seeds and am more confident in trying it because of your video.

Just received my packet of trailer seeds and was very impressed with the instructions. Maybe 40 years ago I grew begonia seeds (when I could see them!) and had forgotten about putting the seed on a white card before sprinkling it on the sowing medium. I made a mix of horticultural vermiculite and spaghnum moss which I've had in my garage for several years. It was so clumpy I put it into my food processor to break it down. Poured boiling water on it to hopefully kill any fungus gnats that might decide to breed in it, but am wondering if just to be sure the mix is sterilized I can spray it with a dilute solution of hydrogen peroxide, without harming the seeds.

I am in Australia and wonder if you can ship your seeds here? Also, I doubt that your soil mix would be allowed to be imported, so what kind of mix do you recommend?
To everyone watching this. I couldn’t find that Jiffy Starting Soil anywhere in my area and had to use Miracle Grow Seed Starting Soil and it worked just fine for me.

Hello, I ordered seeds and had some sprout, but disappeared when very small. I used Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil as my medium and used weak Miracle Grow fertilizer. My soil got covered with sticky green algea. What did I do wrong? Thank you.

If you don't transplant them, they won't grow properly. They need space and individual pots.

They ship international. I know of someone who shipped to New Zealand. AV seeds are on the allowed list for importing without any documents as they aren't invasive or harbour diseases that could affect crops.
