    "Starry, starry night!!!"
    You are a wonderful teacher Den ... you describe the most simplest of things, but without being patronising.
    I'm really enjoying "The Most Important Thing" course that you created, I purchased it last week, and it's awesome.
    I would recommend the course to anyone wishing how to learn the basic guitar rules correctly.
    Greetings from Wales ...thanks again!!! 😎🎸

    How do i know what key? First chord?

    • @LearningGuitarSecrets
      @LearningGuitarSecrets  8 місяців тому +1

      That normally works😃

    • @maxturgeon89
      @maxturgeon89 8 місяців тому +2

      First chord often works. One way to find the key by ear is to pick a note you hear and sing it (or play it on your guitar), then sing down the scale until it feels restful, or stable. That's the key. It takes some practice to do this, but keep at it and you'll get there!

    Can I offer an observation about learning anything on the guitar? if you change your tuning to ALL 4ths tuning, EADGCF then you only have to learn 1/3 the number of patterns in chords, scales, modes, triads, extended chords.. 1/3 !!! that means you'll learn 300% faster on all the things you need to learn to master the guitar. I've only found 1 teacher on U2B that advocates this.. Now I'm hooked I'll never go back to campfire tuning : EADGBE no more shifting for those 2 high strings.. Try it.. a Major chord looks the same everywhere on the neck, every inversion the same everywhere on the neck.. every scale, every mode.. same pattern all over the neck.. There's magic in this, if you dare to try it. In 3 years time, I'm playing Fusion Jazz/Rock.

      Very interesting. How does work if the band is in standard tuning?

      I interested, who's the teacher on U2B

    • @petebrown7995
      @petebrown7995 7 місяців тому +1

      @@niguel4438 I think it should work fine. You're still playing the same notes that you would be if you were in standard tuning, you just don't have to remember to move your finger 1 fret down (towards the bridge) on the B and high E (strings 1&2) to get them. So, that might make your life easier if soloing with single notes, but all of your normal CHORD finger positions on strings 1&2 would have to change.
