The type of clay used in this video is Sculpey and Fimo. I use what’s available as most brands are similar to each other. Always follow your clay’s baking instructions on the package when making clay creations. I baked mine at 225 degrees in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Leave to cool before handling them as they are still soft and handling them may leave dents.
Tip: When shaping the clay, if you find that you are leaving a lot of fingerprints, you can use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol to wipe the surface of the clay clean.

Hi, my son has a school project to make an animal with a backbone and one without . I wanted to ask what type of clay are you using. Can we use play dough as well?
Hello! I have some more info on my clay in the description, but I am using oven baked clay. I would not use play dough for this, though there are some dollar stores that have different colored packets of air dried clay. That might be a better option if you'd rather not use an oven. Hope that helped!

Where do you get the silicone blending tool?
I got mine from Michael's but I've seen them in Walmart and other craft stores. Amazon also has them as well.

Hello! I do mention the hands/feet around 1:10 but it's not very detailed. I made all the hands and feet the same, using a small ball of light brown clay, I made 3 small indents with a flat edge tool to create the look of hands/toes. Then I connected each light brown ball to a small log of dark brown with the indents facing out to make the arms and legs. Hope that helped :)
