I used to have a sound mod installed that replaced the Japanese voicelines with the ones from Rising Storm. It's still on the Enlisted mods websites, i think.
ta-se is the best tier 1 tank for japan, as it is an AA and has AA circle to effectively counter enemy planes and radio squad bombers which allows you to get tons of score, i once had 17 planes shot down with it, it is also very decent against lightly armored tanks, it easily kills everything up to crusader except for M3 lee and grant.
@@rouxgreasus just move, that's it, move slightly back and forth every now and then and no sniper will be able to kill you, also when you perform AA duty you can just stay at spawn away from enemy snipers.
Thank you so much for this faction guide! It has been by far my most favorite. Hopefully you can more of these when Enlisted gets future factions added like France and China.
I think you vastly overlooked the capabilities of the type 96 lmg, it's a stg 44 with an upside-down magazine, much less recoil than the type 99, chambered in 6.5, same as the auto type hei. I run 2 MG squads with those things, regularly get 100+ kills from the mgs alone
I have played Japanese for almost 4 months (mostly, but a few others just to change things up) and i don't totally agree with most of your choices. But i can tell by your gameplay in the background, we play differently, and i am on PS4. Its still a great video and will help people out.
The Type 97 is pretty good, if you fully upgrade it plus max stats in recoil for the soldier it actually gets pretty accurate like the first shot always hits most of the time in medium ranges plus if you find a place to mount it, it becomes like a makeshift auto-sniper cuz the recoil is literally gone. Though the way you treat it is more of a semi-auto rifle than a mg if you dont mount it
Ive gotten more tank kills with the Japanese than any other nation. Their tanks just need to be played differently, as in cautiously - the Ho-I is actually really good, I've gone through most matches not dying in it but you have to position yourself in bushes or with cover and not go past your infantry. I don't know if ally players figure they're just POS's and either don't bother with you or can't see you, but that thing just destroys. Again, can't really assume you'll tank rounds in any Japanese tanks but if you stick behind infantry (as opposed to with them) you can absolutely rack up kills. And, yeah, they might be paper-mache armor but AP rounds will sail right through them and miss your crew sometimes, so you'll be rolling around with like 3 through and through holes and imagining how you didn't die yet. ...heat is another story, also hopefully they don't shoot .50 at you because you will get shredded. (*Little edit, fully upgraded ho-I I meant, I never go into a battle without fully upgrading Japanese tanks if I can avoid it)

I kept pausing that beginner’s guide to write best weapon, vehicle, and your particular squad make-ups. It’s been three months and every one of my armies are now solid BRIV and above with no BRIII techs left to research. Question for you. What am I going to do with all these low level soldiers left over. Stock pile them?
I've installed Enlisted one month ago and have been playing exclusively Japan since. I absolutely love the Katanas and there's no game where I don't get the melee master award, they're way too fun to use. I don't know if this is standard to other nations, but I'm already at rank 4 and I'm STILL using the type 38 rifle because it's just that good with insane rate of fire and oneshotting everyone if I manage to hit them. What sucks though is that I really want to like the other rifles but they either fire too slowly, have terrible sights and way lower bullet velocity. Why are they like this? Why is the best rifle in the tree the first one you get?
Play more custom games and you'll be playing mixed trams a lot ending up with japanese against soviets or germans. Japanese planes are deadly dogfighters for turn battles. In case you are able to fly. Then you can also deal with ANY tank in game with those 60kg bombs. It can smash even TigerII, but of course it needs direct hit.
How did you use some weapons when the ones further back in the tree werent unlocked yet (like the truck) whenever i try that it tells me i need to unlock all in that line first
For my Tier 2 loadouts, - I prefer the Type Hei rifle being used for all riflemen as I require them to have a better fighting effectiveness through rate of fire. -Assaulter I am okay using the MP28 or Type 2A SMG which are reliable SMGs especially useful for tank crews or pilots. - I do also prefer using the Type 11 LMG as a marksmen weapon as it is able to 1-2 shot kill an enemy. - For tanks I would go for the Ho-I. Even though I use it as more of a fire support tank but it is still effective against Allied light tanks.
type hei is a br2 semi auto rifle which not all nations have but despite having the same damage as any other rifle of it's type, it has the weakest recoil of all rifles, so little in fact that you can actualy accuratly shoot at it's max fire rate. that's why. 12:19
from my experience with it it's wildly inaccurate at range compared to the type 38 rifle and since there almost no close-quarters engagements on the Pacific maps, I don't see why I'd sacrifice the accuracy and consistent one-shots of the type 38 for the type hei.
Ki84ko is the best br5 plane in the game, it has more bombs than german and american equivalent, it is more maneuverable, it's beter armed, it's faster, it's just overall better.
Lol I don’t care how stupid it was, but I always do suicidal banzai charges into rally points and houses, I sometimes do banzai tank charges where I just rush into rally points and use my katanas😂
22:07 you kinda need to think of the Type Hei as a lmg mixed with an assault rifle, since it has great firepower but burns through ammo with poor reserves
His guide isn’t the best, I personally suggest using the type Hei until you get either the type four or the type Hei automatic, as the Hei is a decent rifle with a bit of a learning curve
Japan has it rough with the tech tree. Especially with vehicles. Also is there any reason to use assault squads after unlocking the HEI automatic rifle?
The reason the type 97 has a scope is because IRL the mg was too heavy to issue to standard infantry and yet was a ridiculously good LMG, and so was issued to tanks. But there were a few snipers who were GIVEN the type 97 as their sniper rifle because of how accurate it was at long ranges and because of the extra provided fire power
Honestly the SI-100 is horrendous in enlisted if anything the type 100 is a small bit better but I find I get more kills and points with rifles and machine guns

So basically Ho-i is very good tank Type 2 smg is better then type 100 late due to having 50 rounds and also bayonet so you can still charge which means getting somewhere faster
@@T1ger-tank pz 3 b is made of paper, anything can penetrate it even machine guns, and it's gun is just 37mm, pz3J is impenetrable from all sides to all small arms and most anti tank rifles, and has a more decent gun in form of a 50mm.
Extra tip for you guy when playing japan if you live somewhere in Asia or Australia, I recommend choose EU or RU, at those servers everyone seem to spreads out equaly on both faction, avoid American server when playing Japan because you know. But if live in American or EU, than just choose the right server to avoid high ping.

No the type 38 rifle has the fastest bolt speed, and the recoil and such stats dont matter too much. I dove into more in my BR1 deep dive but yeah the biggest thing is the ROF

katana medics are a lot of fun, and effective too, inside buildings you can easily kill entire squads just with the katana

The Ho-I is a solid low BR tank that plays similarly to the Crusader. Otherwise, there are total shite tanks until you get the Ho-Ri Production.
