Strongly disagree on the build speed perk. I throw it on all of my engineers. Shaving those extra couple of seconds off makes it easy to drop a rally point while pressing the capture point. Anything that promotes the building of rally's it top tier imo.
Extra speed has saved my life more than I can count when you are trying to put down an aggressive rally and there are enemies in the area. I never run vitality on engineers and always get more build points
Right but thats what I was saying, if you want to maximize rally point placement time, sprint speed is actually better. The time youre shaving off by using sprint speed is higher than the time youre shaving off with build speed. Build speed matters if youre building multiple times, or if for some reason you really need to build quickly, which most of the time you can use your other squad Engineers to boost anyway
@@HeyQuadro the thing is that sprint speed whilst yes, it does make ur engineer faster, but only a bit faster, yh sure plus 15 % speed sounds nice but realistically your only going to need to sprint max 80 meters out of the objective to build a rally for an example, and using the sprint perk might save you 1 or half a second, compared to the building speed perk which makes you able to build rallies multiple seconds faster. Also if you find yourself in a sticky situation where you really need to get a rally down before the enemy caps the point, building speed perk is great for that, however I will agree with you on the building resources perk, you will almost never find yourself in a situation that requires you to need more structures built, and its also kind of telling you that "hey, go kill some guys".
@@Pandacorps no what im saying is that we've actually tested it out in game, and definitively, 15% sprint speed saves more time if youre just trying to build rallys. I'm not just spitballing that, we've genuinely went in game and ran the same distance to an objective and built a rally, and sprint speed is always faster. So if your entire goal is just to build rally points, sprint speed is strictly better. If youre building extra things on top, then build speed is better. But again, if youre doing that then you can just use your other engineer squaddies.
Crouch movement speed is actually insane, if you're crouched and aiming you will move faster than if you were standing and aiming (if maxed out). Insanely good perk for aggressive playstyles. Top it off with increased sprint speed that is actually way better than it sounds because it changes your movement velocity. You can jump out around a corner, crouch down and spray down an entire room in ways enemies don't expect. This combo is only possible if a character has 20 or more agility points though.
Here is another thing about crouch and crawl speed. Usually when you lean with a soldier, it removes all your speed, but if you combine it with crouching and the crouch movement speed buff, it becomes the best way to aim!
I was watching the stream where quad kept screaming about 35%vit And immediately his selected soldier has like 1hp after getting shot And still getting a knock down shortly after Your character has a chance down threshold that can only improved in the yellow tree Vit is basically a super perk
Horizontal recoil perk is kinda situational. Very useful for LMG such as Type 100 LMG, MG34, MG42 or weapons that tend to have quite a lot of horizontal recoil stat than 15. Pick this perk and try, it's noticeable that dealing with pulling down a gun vertically is more comfortable to shoot than unpredictable horizontal recoil, it also make a burst firing is quite a pleasant like shooting laser
I use one level of jump height on almost everyone - it's the difference between jumping over a trench and landing in one and having to climb the other side. With sprint speed you can just sprint directly where you want to be, jumping over any obstacles.
Strongly disagree with the Reload Speed one. This comes down to the existence of Assaulters IV, who get a natural 12% reload speed. Stacking their class perk+reload speed+reload speed from weapons upgrades mean that you are reloading your assaulter weapons around 30% faster. This is an amazing thing if you have an aggresive playstyle, which you should have with this class. this whole situation only fully applies for SMGs, assault rifles don’t get the -10% reload time. Also, the 1 point perks, like energy regen and weapon swap speed can be very useful. Not only they cost 1 point, so you can unlock the best perks while saving points for your builds, buy they can save your life in certain situations, like running out of ammo and needing to scavenge smth to keep on the fight. Otherwhise, nice video man GET VITALITY!
yeah youre definitely right, theres some shenanigans with certain classes like assaulter IV's that you can do. but theyre rare and this video was already really long lol
The grenade perk actually puts text at the bottom of the screen saying (throw range increased) and it massively helps with tossing explosion packs on vehicles. I try to put it on as many soldiers as i can as well, to make it more likely o have it. But I'll definitely need to grab the recoil. Personally i think build soeed is great for when youre placing a rally point and an ammo box as a non-engineer squad. You can't boost the build speed as you only have one engy, so having the extra speed can help when you need a quick ammo top off or need any other cheeky build. Build speed will also help if you have to expose yourself to drop a quick sandbag. I think I'll agree however that the full engineer squad doesnt need it since you can build boost with the extra dudes.
I use Weapon Changing Speed on my engineers, mostly because my luck dictates that the moment i set an ammo box on the Point, someone is gonna come into the room and shoot me, so at least it allows me to fight back, also on flamethrower squads! need them as reactive as posible
I think a perk guide would be more useful if built over class and rank types of soldiers, not just in general, that way ppl know their point budget and the combos that work best for each class or at least the most played ones. For example to me this is usually what I go for Engi2 are 18/20/16 so I know for mobility I can go 12 points for 4 lvls on building speed (one of the best perks. Not losing momentum and still place rallys/utility wins games) and 6 points for 2 lvls on med kit speed (to be operational as fast as possible if downed), for vitality either use 4 points for 2lvls reduced concussion, 4 lvls in regen or 3 regen +1 stam recovery(those are to pay for 4/6 tier 1 perksand if u get 3+ regen its actually useful) and 16 points for vit (best perk in the game), and for weapon 2 points on 2 lvls of shot dispersion (op for the AI and the last 2/6 to pay for tier 1), 12 points for 4lvls of vertical recoil (to me a must for every class) and 2 points for 1 lvl into downed chance; MG3 are 17/18/22 so 1 lvl fo change pose (youll change poses a lot with MGs), 2 lvls of aim speed and 2 lvls of med kit speed, 2 lvls on reduce concussion or health regen and 1 on vit, 2 lvls on spread, 1 on weapon change (swapping to a pistol/something else when out of ammo and a couple soldiers survived will save your life and help keep ur position), 1 on melee (to finish paying the 6 for tier 1) 4lvls of vertical, 1 of reload (every bit u can reduce on mgs reloads is sacred) and 1 of downed chance (always useful perk to put a point when theres a couple points left); Assault4 are 21/19/20 so 1 change pose, 1 fire extinguish (being closer to action u have more chances to get lit), 2 on aim and 3 on medkit speed (to never stop pushing), then 1 concussion 1 stamina or 3 on regen 1 vit, finally 2 spread, 4 vertical, 1 reload and 1 downed chance; Rifle3 are 19/19/19 so 2 aim speed, 3 medkit, then 3 regen or 1 concussion +1 stamina regen and 1 vit, finally 2 spread 1 weapon swap 1 melee, 4 vertical an 1 downed chance.
Nice guide! Learnt a lot of new things from this video. I personally prefer the changing pose coupled with the shot spread perk. It makes your AI really good. Also weapon change speed and melee damage can be quite useful as well. While there is not much debate on the red and yellow perks I like to have med pack use speed on all my soldiers as opposed to the sprint speed perk.
For machine gunners I think that the 2 best perks are horizontal recoil, and weapons switching speed. Because machineguns tend to have very strong horizontal recoil in which the Horizontal perk really helps out, and then once you`ve used the mag of your first mg up, you can switch weapons to your second mg, which can especially help in CQC. And yeah you could argue that the reload perk is better, but it doesnt help to the extent that reloading an MG42 isnt leaving yourself vulnerable for multiple seconds, so its quicker switching to your second mg anyways.
Well I miss few informations in video like run speed increasing dispersion as well (and little bit of a sprint speed but I do not remember if you said it in video) when shooting while moving, gunner perks in planes and medic perks. Need to mention that some opinions, ofc, can be very subjective. But it is a nice guide for those who do not know much about perks yet. I personally use different setup of perks for every soldier, weapon a situation they are suited for. For example if I have one engineer in squad I prefer build speed and extra resourcess but more engineers I have in squad the less I invest into these perks. Recoil reduction depends on weapon and its fire rate ofc. Melee dmg on every soldier without bayonet since bots reacts quite fast when enemy is near and they prefer melee in close range over shooting so I want them to kill the soldier. I did not know that melee speed affects digging with shovel like one guy said here. Should be obvious but I never thought about it. I always pick Vitality, if I can not get it I pick restored HP with medpack and rest depends on soldier and perk points left. Aim stability while being shot saved my ass many times and also killed me when I did not have it. Quite useless in really short range but in mid range it can be good. Same goes for weapon changing speed. Many times had to switch to a sidearm and it is cheap. Throwing range of grenades only for explosion pack. Weapon aim speed? Well I do not pick it up even on soldier with Browning M1919A6. At mid to long range I can pre aim or I am not targeted at all. At close range I can just hip fire and on SMGs it is not much of a boost. Perk is good ofc, the only reason I do not pick it is it is way too expensive and I perefer different perks like medpack usage speed even in front line where you mostly die. Just in case so I can get back on feet asap.
Also, the one time I don't use vitality is on the first engineer in a squad - who takes stamina and stamina regen - coupled wjth sorint speed, so i can rush to get a rally up. Some of the first objectives seem quite a distance from spawn
Controversial opinion: stamina regen speed is more important than vitality (which is overrated). Have you ever been in a situation where you look one second and your squad is there, then you start running and they get squad wiped by a tiger because they were straggling behind? Well that’s because they ran out of stamina. While you were chugging your flask and running for the hills, they can’t do that and sit there regenerating their stamina. Even if they had vitality, they would have still been mowed down since all it takes is one more bullet or one more step closer to the 88mm HE round. To solve this, give them all stamina regen speed! Not only does it help when they lose all their stamina, but their stamina will also drain 2x slower. If you take vitality, sure you would survive longer on that one soldier, but I quite frankly believe that having a squad of respawns with fresh ammo and equipment is much more important
Who would have guessed that the perk that gives your character more HP would be the best perk? LITTERALY EVERY GAMER OUT THERE! Clearly the Devs don't understand basic gamer logic. Getting MORE HP in a FPS game is just a no brainer. Why has this perk not been Removed yet?
Regarding speed perks I was always a big cultist of medkit use speed and the ocasional epic comebacks, but after playing some games with sprint build it feels more fun. Idk if mathematically better but just more fun. Also run speed sucks, increases disperson. Maybe for Flametrooper is good.
Just wait until you ate wondering why you have spent 3 sniper clips in that enemy squad because everyone have a backpack full of medkits and reviving themselves
Uh…in low tier the extra bayonet speed/ damage perk is absolutely necessary. I lost count how many times I run into a room with 3+ guys and just stab everyone to death with bolt.

Only if min/maxing perks is the last thing you have left to do. It'll cost a lot of silver to do this so be sure your squads are well equipped before you burn silver for this. I'd also only do this for a soldier that has perfectly rolled perk points.
Strongly disagree on build speed. Always better than sprint speed for an engineer if your building faster.. That's just common sense. Sprinting faster will get you to where you want quicker, but your still sitting in one spot for seconds longer, not to mention unable to defend yourself or at a disadvantage being busy building(for that much longer because you chose sprint speed instead of build speed on an engineer?) and much more likely to be killed in that time. You claim its been tested.. okay where? what maps? with who?.. There's no way you could test this in any accurate way with yourself or even with a friend with how much variations are at play per match. Plain and simple build speed saves you from being a stationary target that can't move until said build is finished. Sprint speed does sweet f*** all for you there as you watch that rally build take all the time the enemy needed to rush you as your even closer to them than you would be given how fast you ran there because of the poor choices made with perks.. Also if your defending and don't need to run around very much it becomes even more less worth the trade off of not only build speed but other perks that engineers can benefit from better but can't because most of them go to that one perk alone. It might get you where you want to go faster but that's completely different and doesn't somehow magically save time on building whatsoever and in my opinion is far less effective for this class.
i have 3000 hour and have been playing since 2021, including winning $4500 in a tournament for the game. I guarantee I have more experience than you in this game lol

Ngl im not gonna be taking my advice for vehicle perks from someone who doesn’t know how to use his periscope in a t-34

happens to the best of us, sometimes youre just excited
totally wrong and you don't even have lv3 soldier. That's reason why you don't know what's the best perk-----not enough battle experience
i have 3000 hour and have been playing since 2021, including winning $4500 in a tournament for the game. I guarantee I have more experience than you in this game lol
LMFAO
Does the run speed and/or sprint speed perk affect the melee charge?
