Don't Break this One Rule when Mixing Music in Atmos

If you have never mixed your music in surround sound, let alone in Dolby Atmos, it can seem like a daunting task. With so many speakers at your disposal, where do you even start with a mix? The answer is quite simple actually, and there is only one rule that we do not want to break.

When i switch to 3d sorround on a vocal track for a cartoon audio I'm mixing, i dont get any sound coming out my speakers but i can see the sound in my meter, any help?

When working in a surround project any mono tracks will feed to the center channel speaker. (Unless panned otherwise) The exception is if they are being routed to a stereo bus. Then the signal will be heard in the phantom center as normal.
Same goes for surround busses. Mono tracks routed to a surround bus will come out of the center by default (again unless panned otherwise.) Same thing goes for mono tracks outputting directly to the master output.
So if you only have a two speaker setup then that would be why you are not hearing that vocal track even though you can see signal in the meters.
